WE STILL HAVE JULY 4TH. WEEKEND AVAILABLE!!

Watch the elk wander by in your private loft cabin in the woods! Cozy up to the roaring fire in the large fire pit or soak your cares away in the gazebo hot tub after a day of skiing at Crystal Mountain or hiking around Mt. Rainier. Feel free to explore the new addition to the yard, our teepee. It has 2 queen beds and is available first come first serve for camping out under the stars for an additional $40/stay. It must be reserved in conjunction with the rental of either of our cabins. As most teepees, it is not water-proof and in case of rain you may get wet.

About Tamara

My family and I have enjoyed the many outdoor activities that this area has to offer. The mountains and wildlife are beautiful and a joy to explore.

Tamara purchased this cabin in 2012

Why Tamara chose Washington

Watch the elk wander by, sit and warm yourself by the large firepit on cool evenings or take a short walk to the river and relax.

What makes this cabin unique

We love to have family gatherings around the firepit, playing in the snow or hiking amongst the beautiful wildflowers. The Rainier Gondola at Crystal Mountain offers some of the most spectacular views of Mt. Rainier and offers wonderful dinner dining during the summer months.

Beautiful wooded cottage stay

  • 5 of 5

We loved our stay at the Eagles Nest!! Such an accommodating home away from home! The owner even volunteered fresh eggs so we made brownies for our vacation to Mt Rainier. Our place had everything we needed and we loved the jacuzzi and seeing the local elk. Gotta do the trail of the patriarchs in Mt Rainier National Park! Would definitely come again and bring everything for campfire dinner and s'mores. Thanks so much!!

Great Rainier hideaway

  • 5 of 5

The cabin was lovely, with a great hot tub and Rainier hiking a short drive down the road. I'd definitely come here again.

It was such a lovely stay

  • 5 of 5

We stayed for three nights and we had a absolute great time. The cabin was so warm and cozy. Tamara really made us comfortable and offered us fresh chicken eggs from her chickens and gave us good direction for hiking. The cabin was equipped with everything and was very clean. We definitely would stay again and can't wait to. Thank you Tamara for everything.

Quaint chalet in the woods - loved it!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed for two nights. When we arrived we were greeted by an elk who was later joined by 5 friends. The place was spacious enough for two adults and two children. It was very clean and the kitchen was equipped with everything we needed to be able to prepare a simple dinner. It is surrounded by woods and is very quiet. There is a nice deck we used to eat dinner and hang out. Unfortunately we couldn't use the fire pit b/c of the dry conditions. This was our first experience with VRBO and we were pleasantly surprised. Great place for a getaway!

Adorable and great location!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at this cabin for our elopement at Sunrise Park, Mt Rainier. It was the perfect location and the cabin was absolutely perfect for our needs! We had a toddler with us who loved exploring the grounds ... the free roaming chickens were especially a hit! We've told so many people about the great time we had and will definitely be returning. Hoping to make it a yearly tradition!

The cabin was very clean and stocked appropriately!

Great Stay

  • 4 of 5

Eagle's Nest was a great place to stay for my husband and I. The only reason we gave it 4 stars rather than 5 is because the bed was too soft for our comfort. Other than that, the Eagle's Nest was clean, comfortable, cozy, peaceful and relaxing. We so enjoyed sitting out on the deck each evening and made good use of the gas grill. Another bonus was the hot tub! Nice to soak the muscles after a day of hiking in Mt. Rainier. Tamara was warm, friendly, and knowledgeable. Checking in was simple and straightforward. Thank you Tamara for your kindness and hospitality. Susan and Mike (Dallas, Texas)

In the unlikely event that you may have to cancel your reservation, you may reschedule it at a later date and may have to pay more because of the higher season rate. There is a $50 re-booking fee to do that.

If you cannot reschedule then you will loose the entire amount of your booking unless we can re-book your dates. In that case there is also a $50 re-booking fee, plus you will be responsible for the days we cannot rent.

Also available for an additional $40/stay is our teepee. It has two queen size beds and is not totally waterproof, so if it rains you could get wet, just like the Indians! The teepee must be reserved with the cabin at time of booking.
