About Francoise

My husband and I were looking for a small cozy place that would put us close to the beaches for the summers, and skiing for the winters. We were very lucky to find this cabin as it gave us the true Tahoe woodsy feeling but was close enough to everything to make life easy. We found the perfect get away . We hope that you will enjoy your stay there as much as we do.

Really enjoyed our stay!

  • 5 of 5

My family and Golden Retriever recently stayed at this cabin. We had a great time! The cabin was exactly as shown in the pictures. Great spot and close to all the popular beaches. All the amenities were there and the cabin was clean. Good sized backyard for my Golden Retriever to run around. Unfortunately did not get a chance to use the hammocks... Francoise was very friendly and communicated excellently throughout the whole process. We would definitely stay here again!

Wonderful winter stay during ski season

  • 5 of 5

My partner and I stayed her for a winter-long rental during the ski season. The owners were excellent “landlords” during that time, were extremely friendly, and very accessible throughout our stay if we had any questions.

The house was great all winter and is in a super convenient location for skiing. Only a few minutes to Heavenly and fast access to 89 to get to Kirkwood. There are a few restaurants nearby that are close enough to walk to, even in the winter! The owners left us everything we needed for the season including an entire cord of split firewood and shovels for clearing snow off of the driveway. We made a fire almost every evening we were there. The bedrooms are super cozy, and the layout of this cabin was great for us, with one bedroom for us and one bedroom for guests.

Overall a great experience; we will definitely be back!

Incredible Stay

  • 5 of 5

After a wedding in Shingle Springs the hubby and I wanted to spend the rest of our weekend in Tahoe. Of course we went to vrbo to check out some options and this cabin seemed perfect. I've been fortunate to visit Tahoe a few times a year since I was a kid and this was another amazing stay. The location is ideal. We spent the day at Kiva beach with our dog and then drove 20 minutes to stateline for dinner and to hear some live music outside the Marriott. The cabin itself is very charming and spacious. It's exactly how it seemed from the description. The kitchen is fully stocked but simple and the living room is comfortable. We didn't turn on the TV so I don't know about that. Our boxer loved the back yard and the neighborhood was busy but quiet. Francoise made the process seamless and actually I think has been the best person we've worked with on this site. Really a great home away from home experience and we will be back.

Owner's Response: Hi Anjel, thank you so much for you lovely review. We are glad your stay is everything that you hoped it would be. We look forward to having you again. P.S. The neighborhood was probably busy due to the memorial holiday. Glad it was quiet though. Thank you again, Francoise & Paul

Overall it's fine

  • 4 of 5

We stayed there for 3 nights, me, my husband and my son. We prepared our breakfast by ourselves. We went to nearby beach in the morning. My son was happy with the hammock. It's very convenient since it's almost in the center of South Lake Tahoe. There are many grocery stores in 10 minutes' drive.

There are some minor inconveniences. We found some ants in the living room. The toilet was always leaking water in our stay and there's a bowl to collect the water. At night it was hot without fans in that time. If I opened the windows of room, some small bugs flew in.

I can ignore those but I'm really not glad when we came home, I got an email from the landlord. She said she can't find a pillow or cushion after we left. What a surprise! I think we won't go to this cabin again. Maybe another one.

Owner's Response: Hi Hui, we are sorry to hear that you did not fully enjoy your stay. I do want to mention that we told you that a leak had just occurred in the bathroom, and that we would have it repaired upon your departure so as not to interfere with your vacation. Had we known that you were not okay with the situation, we would have repaired it immediately. The summer can get warm in Tahoe; that is why we have dutch doors and do what we can to keep the cabin cool. You are in the woods and occasionally bugs do fly in open windows. We apologize for any inconvenience that you might have experienced..

Cozy clean cabin

  • 5 of 5

We stayed for three nights during the Thansgiving holiday; two couples and two dogs. The cabin was the perfect size and well-stocked for preparing Thanksgiving dinner. We loved just sitting by the fire, playing games, watching movies, and listening to music. The beds are comfy and warm with the electric blankets. The dogs loved playing in the snow in the back yard. The owners checked in to make sure everything was fine; which was nice. We hope to return in the summer!

Nice dog friendly cabin

  • 4 of 5

We really love the location of this cabin.

The kitchen is well stocked, that beds are comfy, the hammocks rule!

And the street is nice and quiet. However the living room furniture is outdated and really uncomfortable. We sat on the floor! Ha.

I would stay here again if they upgraded the sofa. After a long day playing at the beach it would be nice to get comfy for a bit.

Overall we enjoyed our stay, were able to have our dog and the price was affordable.

The owners are very friendly and available to answer any questions.

Owner's Response: HI Taylor, We are glad that overall you liked our cabin. We have never had any complaints about the comfort of our couch. Maybe it is time to replace it. We will look into it. Sincerely, Francoise
