Overview

About the property

2 Bedrooms, 1 Bath, Sleeps 4-6

This charming 1940's cabin was remodeled in 2005 to the likes of a Bed and Breakfast. An open floor plan in the downstairs living and dining area makes it spacious and cozy. The homey pot belly stove keeps you plenty warm as you have fun filled family nights or a romantic evening. The fully equipped kitchen has cedar counter tops, and all the conveniences of home with a refrigerator, dishwasher, gas stove, and washer/dryer. Indulge the senses in a state of the art bathroom with imported hammered copper tub. A beautiful hand painted vanity with copper sink and cherry wood floors complete your spa experience. Right out the back door, is a large deck that is perfect for barbecuing and entertaining friends and family, or just having a romantic dinner for two. There are numerous places on the property to relax: a hammock for those who like to read, two nice reclining lounge chairs to look at the stars at night, or our comfy patio furniture to have your morning coffee or your glass of wine at night. For those who like evening walks, enjoy the beautiful surroundings our neighborhood has to offer. There are enough trees for your mountain experience but when the Dogwoods are in bloom, (Spring time), there is nothing like it...a must see!

We also have Lake Rights. Lake Arrowhead is a private lake and so you will be able to access the trails around the lake and beach clubs.

Come and stay with us, I don't think you will be disappointed. Every season has something special to offer you.

About Pam Schuberg

I grew up taking my family vacations up in Lake Arrowhead. I guess it made quite an impression on a lot of my siblings because my brother has lived up there for 25 years and a business owner of Timberline Design in Cedar Glen. My sister also bought a cabin in Lake Arrowhead and we try to plan our family vacations to this day around lake time. There is nothing better than mountain air and the beauty that Lake Arrowhead has to offer. I think you will understand more what I'm talking about once you have had a chance to stay with us.

Pam Schuberg purchased this cabin in 2005

Why Pam Schuberg chose Crest Estates

This cabin is nestled amongst pine, fir and maple trees. When I first saw this property I instantly fell in love with it. I loved the location, close to everything: the village, shopping, skiing, restaurants and within an hour drive to Big Bear for a scenic drive.

Even though it was remodeled, the contractor kept the original 1940's charm. You feel like you are really in a cabin in the woods. It's so quiet that you can also hear the faint church bells in the distance...there's nothing like it!

What makes this cabin unique

This cabin is in a prime location to get anywhere quickly. We are not far from the 18 highway so you can start your stay right away. The Village is about a 3 minute drive, or 1.5 miles from the cabin. Hop on the 18 Hwy and you are at Snow Valley or Snow Summit within a half hour to an hour.

This cabin is quite unique in all the little touches that have been added to give it that rustic charm. Even the the stairs have a twisted branch railing and the stenciling on the stairs. The minute you walk in, there is a clam that comes over you as you now can relax, breathe the fresh air and enjoy your stay.

I guess it's not surprising that I have so many repeat visitors. I invite you to come and see what we all think is so special about the "Holly House".

A magical experience!

  • 5 of 5

This was by far one of the best vacations I have ever had. Pam is a wonderful host and her cabin is simply beautiful and filled with charm. From the moment you step into the porch, it becomes evident that this is not your average rental. This cabin is cared for and truly loved.

Just imagine yourself sitting by the pot belly stove listening to your favorite songs in the Bluetooth speaker while a batch of chocolate chips cookies is baking in the oven; or sitting out on the deck drinking a glass of wine while you barbecue some steaks. And to top off your relaxing day, picture yourself enjoying a nice warm bath in the oversized copper tub. You won't regret booking your vacation at The Holly House!

Thank you again Pam for sharing your beautiful cabin! Hope to be back soon!

A little slice of Heaven

  • 5 of 5

I reserved this cabin for a two night stay for my son's family including wife and 3 children ages 6, 3 and 10 months. They enjoyed their stay here and found everything as advertised. The kitchen was well equipped and the bathroom was huge but the tub was intimidating to them as they choose not to use it. The beds were super comfy. They made use of the DVD player and watched two movies from what was in the cabin and there were plenty of games from which they could chose to play. They would love to come back here again and explore more of Lake Arrowhead. I received the return of the full security deposit. A few minor issues: the lake pass had expired bit luckily no one at the lake stop them to check out the pass they had but this will need to be updated: they were able to turn on the water to the kitchen but they could not get the water running to the refrigerator to enjoy filtered water but they said the tap water tasted fine - I do not know if it was user error or if something was not working properly but they said they followed the detailed instructions left by the owner in the cabin; there was no water pitcher which would have been helpful. This is a nice owner to deal with and my wife and I may choose to stay here in the future. This is a nice cabin in a safe area with a good owner. You will not go wrong when you book this cabin.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your review. I appreciate any comments especially so I may correct things that visitors look for. We get our new Lake pass June 1st, that is when the lake gets the most activity and they put a person checking passes. Basically, I haven’t received my new pass but change it out as soon as it arrives. Sorry your kids couldn’t enjoy the large fun tub to splash around in but totally understand how it could intimidate them. By the review your son and wife left in my guest book at the cabin, it sounds like they had a great time and we will see them again. Hope that is true and I appreciate all your helpful hints to make the Holly House a vacation spot for many. Thank you....Pam

  • 5 of 5

This cabin is delightful. It's cute, it's cozy and it's really sweet. Pam was amazing and so easy to communicate with. The place was immaculate and the bed was comfy. Awesome little kitchen. Amazing spa like bathroom. I honestly couldn't say enough. We had the perfect weekend.

I highly recommend if you are looking to get away.

This place is awesome.

My husband and I went here for our honeymoon because we're both mountain people. We prefer all the trees and snow over sandy beaches. If that's you, you'll love this cabin. The tub is luxurious and the main reason we picked this cabin over all the other ones in the Inland Empire area. The kitchen is the second reason. When I shop for places to stay, I always check out the kitchen first. It did not disappoint. It even came with the more common household spices, so you don't have to worry about packing seasoning, extra kitchen tools, or linens. They're got everything. The little stove is an easy on/ off switch which was great because we forgot firewood. Seriously, they've thought of just about everything, and there was nothing we went without!

When it snowed the community was on top of keeping the roads safe and drive-able. You might need chains if you go during winter like we did, but you won't get snowed in or stranded by any means.

Pam was a fantastic hostess, by the way. There was a rolling blackout in our area. I told her to let her know and she contacted the power company and called me to make sure all was well. The power came back on, but she let us know where we could find extra lanterns and such incase it didn't. Then on top of that, we forgot my husband's house keys, and asked her to look out for them. She did find them and is mailing them back to us.

Great cabin, fantastic accommodations, well stocked, beautiful and safe area, and a wonderful hostess.

If you're looking for a great stay in the Inland Empire, stay here.

Owner's Response: Thank you Kat for your amazing review. I try to think of everything people might need in order to make their stay more enjoyable. Sometimes, there our things out of control and you were so understanding about the power outage, which affected almost a 1,000 customers. All turned out well and was glad we could find your keys too! We look forward to your return and glad you had such a great time. Pam

Map

The 'Holly House' is in a great location, not far from Lake Arrowhead village and a short drive to nearby ski resorts for winter play. Lots of hiking trails nearby or if shopping is your thing, there is lots of that, too! With Blue Jay a stone throw away, there are plenty of restaurants to chose from. I personally, like making my meals and enjoying the surrounding of the cabin off the back deck. It is plenty spacious to entertain a number of people
