|Minimum Stay||2 nights|
This charming 1940's cabin was remodeled in 2005 to the likes of a Bed and Breakfast. An open floor plan in the downstairs living and dining area makes it spacious and cozy. The homey pot belly stove keeps you plenty warm as you have fun filled family nights or a romantic evening. The fully equipped kitchen has cedar counter tops, and all the conveniences of home with a refrigerator, dishwasher, gas stove, and washer/dryer. Indulge the senses in a state of the art bathroom with imported hammered copper tub. A beautiful hand painted vanity with copper sink and cherry wood floors complete your spa experience. Right out the back door, is a large deck that is perfect for barbecuing and entertaining friends and family, or just having a romantic dinner for two. There are numerous places on the property to relax: a hammock for those who like to read, two nice reclining lounge chairs to look at the stars at night, or our comfy patio furniture to have your morning coffee or your glass of wine at night. For those who like evening walks, enjoy the beautiful surroundings our neighborhood has to offer. There are enough trees for your mountain experience but when the Dogwoods are in bloom, (Spring time), there is nothing like it...a must see!
We also have Lake Rights. Lake Arrowhead is a private lake and so you will be able to access the trails around the lake and beach clubs.
Come and stay with us, I don't think you will be disappointed. Every season has something special to offer you.
I grew up taking my family vacations up in Lake Arrowhead. I guess it made quite an impression on a lot of my siblings because my brother has lived up there for 25 years and a business owner of Timberline Design in Cedar Glen. My sister also bought a cabin in Lake Arrowhead and we try to plan our family vacations to this day around lake time. There is nothing better than mountain air and the beauty that Lake Arrowhead has to offer. I think you will understand more what I'm talking about once you have had a chance to stay with us.
Pam Schuberg purchased this cabin in 2005
This cabin is nestled amongst pine, fir and maple trees. When I first saw this property I instantly fell in love with it. I loved the location, close to everything: the village, shopping, skiing, restaurants and within an hour drive to Big Bear for a scenic drive.
Even though it was remodeled, the contractor kept the original 1940's charm. You feel like you are really in a cabin in the woods. It's so quiet that you can also hear the faint church bells in the distance...there's nothing like it!
This cabin is in a prime location to get anywhere quickly. We are not far from the 18 highway so you can start your stay right away. The Village is about a 3 minute drive, or 1.5 miles from the cabin. Hop on the 18 Hwy and you are at Snow Valley or Snow Summit within a half hour to an hour.
Our family of three plus our dog had a great stay at the cabin. It's well furnished, clean and is very comfortable. While the cabin is close to the 18 highway (the main access road to area), you still feel like you are off in the woods. We will definitely stay again!
My family and I loved this little cabin! The location is perfect and beautiful! My kids are already asking when are we going back.
Really enjoyed our stay with our 2 year old son. The cabin had everything we needed. The grounds have enough space and snow that we were able to go sledding right outside the front door. Lake arrowhead is 5 min away and big bear 45 min.
Wonderful cozy mountain retreat. Great location, super cute! My only caviat(s)-not enough hot water to make an actual bath. ( even for one let alone with your partner)Considering that the magnificent bath is a feature in the photos. So, other than having to do two rounds of heating water on the stove with every available pot to make a decent bath ( which was totally worth it) too much work in the mountain cold- for the price. So ... that needs to be fixed. Really! That bath is awesome and to not have the capacity to make it actually viable? Big cozy winter mountain fail. That - and I prefer wood burning fire. (Not a fail- just a preference). In the winter I like a good wood burning apparatus Not a faux gas stove that doesn't do the job in freezing temperatures. Having said all that... this would make an awesome summer escape
We enjoyed our stay and hope to visit again!
My wife and I planned this trip for a weekend winter get away hoping for some snow so we can take our 20 month old son to Santas Village. The location of this property is perfect as it has lake rights and is close to everything but still feels secluded and private. Pam was great and always felt nearby if any questions we needed answered were responded to quickly. The Holly house was decked out for the holidays and was a great place to relax, very warm and cozy. We definitely would like to visit again hopefully we get some snow up there.
The 'Holly House' is in a great location, not far from Lake Arrowhead village and a short drive to nearby ski resorts for winter play. Lots of hiking trails nearby or if shopping is your thing, there is lots of that, too! With Blue Jay a stone throw away, there are plenty of restaurants to chose from. I personally, like making my meals and enjoying the surrounding of the cabin off the back deck. It is plenty spacious to entertain a number of people
