Overview

Northern Michigan Cabin Rental Photos and Description

Multiple Cabin Rentals, Sleep up to 28

Full site rental is up to 5 cabins located directly on West Twin Lake in Lewiston, MI. All cabins are self contained units with large kitchens, individual bathrooms, heating, site-wide Wi-Fi, fire pits, outdoor grill, and much more.

Special note, although very nice and comfortable, these cabins were built in the 1940s and have been updated several times to present day. They are rustic with screen doors that slam, original wood floors, original knotty-pine walls and original kitchen cabinetry.

All major systems are current (yr 2000) and in great condition. These systems include electrical, media, heating, plumbing, and septic. All cabins have new roofs since 2007. New entryway and bathroom flooring in 2011.

Mary and I work hard to keep the cabins and facilities in a safe, 'rustic' condition. We are active and caring owners, not a corporate rental agency.

Guests can arrive anytime after 3 PM on check in day and must check out by 11 am on check out day.

During the fall and winter, the rental pricing and timing are much more custom and flexible. We offer weekend rentals of individual cabins but offer the very best pricing in longer term, multiple cabin arrangement.

About David Arce

Mary and I purchased this property as a perfect family getaway in a very nice, rustic setting. We wanted the best the area could offer in all four of Michigan's beautiful seasons.

David Arce purchased this cabin in 2006

Why David Arce chose Northern Michigan

Mainly because the multiple cabins allow friends and family to be close to each other but yet have a quiet place to retreat for peaceful rest when needed. West Twin Lake is incredible over the summer.

What makes this cabin unique

Multiple cabins allow for awesome family and friend reunions. Perfectly located on a 1300 acre all-sports lake in the summer, close to thousands of acres for fall hunting and only 1 mile away to hundreds of groomed snowmobile trails.

Large Family Vacation

  • 5 of 5

We have a group of 12 - 18 (varied over the week) that stayed comfortably in these cabins. They are close enough that we all were together for meals and socializing however separate enough when someone desired more privacy. The cabins were nice, the lake was very clean, there were plenty of 'toys' to use and best of all, the host was very responsive to any questions or issues we had. Overall this was a very nice experience for us.

Good time

  • 5 of 5

This was our first year staying here and we loved it. The cabins are really cozy and comfortable. We enjoyed plenty of fishing and water fun with the use of the kayaks and paddleboat. It was definitely a vacation worth taking. David was a great host with making sure our stay went smooth. We are looking forward to returning next year,

Family vacation

  • 5 of 5

Our entire family had a great time! The property was neat and clean with enough room for everyone. We used the fire pits daily for cooking and nightly for Bon fires! The lake was very clean. It was shallow enough for the little ones and fun for jet skiing and tubing for the teenagers. We will definitely be back... We're hoping to become regulars!

Fantastic Family Vacation!

  • 5 of 5

We had the best vacation yet at these cabins. Plenty of room to spread out and not be in each other's "space". We caught plenty of fish and the kids had a ball with the kayaks, paddleboat, and paddle board. Campfires with gorgeous sunsets and the loons calling. We even had a visit by a lonely fawn that came right up to the kids. Sure hope we can get back next year!

Owner's Response: Thank you so much for staying with us. I heard that loon and actually saw a fox on site before you arrived. Pretty cool about the fawn. That's a first! We look forward to having you next year. Thank you again! David and Mary

Annual Family Vacation

  • 4 of 5

Another great year of family fun. This is our third year here and we have always found the cabins clean and everything in working order. We love the lake... it is just a few steps away from the cabins with accessabliity to kayaks and a paddle boat. Fishing off the dock is a favorite of my grandchildren. We always make sure we go to Tally's to get their famous hamburgers and then return to the cabins to enjoy a campfire.. There are two firepits with plenty of room around them for the entire family to sit. Another plus is the location, there are plenty of things to do within an hour drive....golfing, tubing on the AuSable, shopping, visiting quaint small cities, etc. My family would be very disappointed if we didn't return so we've already booked again for next year.

Great Family Getaway

  • 5 of 5

What a terrific place for our family to get together. My adult siblings, several children, Mom, and I all had a great time here and there was plenty of room for each individual family to spread their legs. The cabins are of rustic vintage, but have all the necessary modern amenities. It felt like visiting a different time, in a very good way. Spending an evening by the lake side fire pit, talking and making s'mores was certainly a highlight.

We worried about what things to bring, but shouldn't have been so concerned. They were plenty of outdoor games, children toys, and water accessories available at the property. The children's playground was a nice touch with slide, sandbox and the like. There is also a paddle boat, kayaks, paddle board, and small pontoon fishing boat with electric motor. All in all, just about everything you could reasonable ask for in a vacation property. Even the kids, who normally like to be on there electronic devices, just wanted to spend all day outside playing. Should the need arise, there are plenty of movies to watch and the selection includes a slew of modern titles.

My family and I enjoyed it so much that we're already trying to get plans to come back next summer.
