San Juan River Village Cottage Rental Photos and Description

Rustic cabin only 18 miles from ski area

Newly renovated 1947 log cabin. Curtained off queen bed plus twin daybed on enclosed back porch. Shower only, and we have tried to stick to the era of the cabin(no micorwave). Located in a neighborhood out of town with a neighbor to the south and one behind. Wolf Creek Ski Area only 18 miles away and just 7 miles from downtown Pagosa Springs.

Spring skiing

  • 5 of 5

This spring my husband and I decided to take a skiing getaway . When we first arrived the cabin was warm and welcoming, we enjoyed the layout of the cabin and the overall cozy feeling. It's located perfectly between the town and the mountain. Great for just the 2 of us but we are looking forward to bringing our 3 kids next time.

Perfect mountain retreat

  • 5 of 5

This little cabin has everything we needed to enjoy a summer vacation in Pagosa Springs. The location is ideal: just a few minutes from town, and in a beautiful neighborhood of vacation homes nestled in the trees just off Highway 160. The neighbors aren't at all intrusive, but are close enough to feel completely secure leaving belongings in the cabin. The accommodations are perfect for one couple, and useful for more if you don't mind some togetherness. The decor is perfect for this renovated log cabin, the kitchen fully equipped (no microwave, but that shouldn't be a deal breaker), and the bathroom is private with all new fixtures and plenty of space. We enjoyed the gas grill on the porch with a view of the foothills leading to Wolf Creek Pass. Our hosts were on their own vacation so we didn't get to meet them, but the entire cabin was spotlessly clean and clearly well cared-for, and though we didn't need it, we had contact information for a caretaker. This little cabin costs less than a night at the average Pagosa Springs hotel, and was so much more private, comfortable and peaceful. We hope to return!

Just right

  • 5 of 5

We had a great ski vacation in Pagos and Wolf Creek once again. We're a family of 4 plus a medium sized dog. We had a couple of minor issue with the rental and the owners addressed the problems immediately. The bonus was when we arrived to find that the cabin had a washer and dryer and wi-fi.

Very comfortable cabin for the wife, dog and I. Very well kept, clean and well furnished. Owners clearly take pride in ownership of this recently renovated cabin with beautiful wood craftsmanship.

Soulful Cabin and Retreat

  • 5 of 5

My retreat was just what the soul doctor ordered with this incredible cabin and hostess!

Description, pictures and cleanliness were beyond compare. The owner, one great gal and spirit!

Very knowledgeable about area and suggestions on where to visit. Hiking is incredible, the town is cute and cozy. I am planning a return retreat soon.

I would highly recommend this rental, although don't want to spread it too much, as want it to be available for me haha! Incredible place, thank you for sharing your home!

Perfect!

  • 5 of 5

My brother, Nephew, & I wanted a place to stay with the following characteristics: Close to Pagosa Springs but as close to Wolf Creek Ski area as we could get, rustic charm but with all of the modern day amenities & comforts, big enough to house and sleep three grown men comfortably (each in his own bed), and easy on the budget. We found all of these and more in this newly renovated property. The owners did an outstanding job in their renovations by staying true to the history of the property while integrating all of the modern amenities we've all grown accustomed to and expect when traveling.

This is a wonderful property for anyone wanting to ski in the winter (very close to the slopes), wanting to hike and fish in the summer, or anyone that just wants to get out of town and get away from the hustle and bustle of it all. The property is managed and owned by a super couple (we showed up early and had the pleasure of meeting them as they were putting the final touches on their renovation of the cabin) who will make sure that your stay is comfortable. We started talking about returning to it again before we even left. We will rent this property again and cannot wait to return.
