Perfect lake getaway for family!

  • 5 of 5

This cottage was the perfect size for our small family of 5 (kids are 9, 3, and 9 months) and Grandpa and Grandma. I was a bit intimidated by the steep, winding driveway, but once we were at the bottom the lot was perfect. Plenty of flat ground and visibility up to the water's edge as well as a great dock, and comfortable edges where water meets land. I never worried about the kiddos playing outside with supervision. We had everything we needed in the kitchen to make meals throughout the week. The location also offered easy enough access to get into town or gas stations. The lake had great fishing and we also enjoyed the paddle boat and kayaks! I hope there is availability when we try to come back next year!

Nice vacation rental

  • 5 of 5

We spent a week at this cabin with basically 4 full size humans (2 teens) there was plenty of room. the over all accommodations were adequate for a vacation cabin - the beds were not the softest but not the worst. It has everything you need in the kitchen and lots of other nice little touches. Only catching point for us was one bedroom up stairs the air conditioning did not really cool off - but open the door add a fan and all was ok. The lake mornings were awesome loons calling fish jumping and a Bald Eagle landing in trees right across the little bay excellent place to sit and enjoy coffee. Cabin was clean and well maintained.

The lake is amazing - we caught 4lb bass right off the shore by the cabin and tons of pan fish. Rented the pontoon from the info at the cabin and it made the trip that much more fun. No wake before 10am and after 8pm made enjoyable sunset boat rides! Plus we caught a ton of nice fish just trolling Pike and big bass!

Would rent again if we go up that way... owners were awesome and easy to work with!

Thank you to the Pohls for a wonderful relaxing vacation. Wonderful cottage absolutely stocked with everything you could possibly need. Your personal touch to the decor and welcome gift was a first for us. We have been coming up to Spider Lake for ten years now and this was by far our most favorite place to stay! We will be back next year!

Wonderful week

  • 5 of 5

A very relaxing week at your lovely cottage. Enjoyed swimming and kayaking. The location is private and quiet, but shopping and city life only a short drive away. Kitchen well stocked and all basic amenities provided. Media and wifi better than I have at home. Recommend highly for a peaceful getaway.

Great location, nice cottage, good times!

  • 5 of 5

Our family stayed at the Pohl's cottage for six nights over the Father's Day weekend and had a great time. The property was as advertised and very comfortable. The location on the lake is perfect, it felt very private while also providing easy viewing of the lake. The boat launch was only a short drive away and with the dock at this cottage we were able to bring our boat and keep it right there. Fishing was very good, we caught quite a few nice bass and a couple of 30"+ pike. We also enjoyed the kayaks, BBQ and fire pit. I spoke with Tami on two separate occasions and she was very helpful, polite and accommodating. We would definitely recommend this property to others and are already considering booking again next year.
