Situated 1.3 miles south of the town of Beaverton on the South East shore of Lake Simcoe, the property is 2 1/2 acres of park-like setting which will captivate all, with manicured lawns perfect for croquet, badminton, volleyball or touch football. The view of the lake is unparalleled magnificence, with a glorious sunset over the far western shoreline. This is property is for the discerning vacationer - it's one of a kind.

The cottage was built for Reverend McLennan's son - the largest and choice piece of the surrounding cottage properties. It has three bedrooms, small well equipped galley kitchen, a large living room with an adjoining sunporch which is a wonderful place for reading, relaxing and playing those wonderful summer board games!
This property was an amazing find - a little more than 1 hour north of Toronto, it allowed our young family to enjoy life at the lake while Dad commuted to Toronto during the summer months - a breeze with the on the 404. The water is crystal clear, and because of the west facing property and the gentle breezes blowing of the lake biting bugs are rarely a nuisance. The town of Beaverton provides amusement, and all necessities. A leisurely walk for ice cream and a movie.
Close Proximity to major attractions - including Casino Rama, and all amenities bus service to Toronto, banking, shopping, library, pick your own farms, Red Barn Theatre, yet completely secluded, surrounded by trimmed cedar hedge. Private lake front with a dock - highly unusual on the west side of Lake Simcoe.
Great place, Great Location, Elizabeth is a great lady
My boyfriend and I decided to rent this cottage with my parents and my brother. Let me tell you, we did not regret our choice. As soon as we stepped out of the van we were blown away. Just walking on the property gives you a certain sense of calm and peace. You feel relax. The owners made us feel very welcomed and made sure we had everything we needed. There was even a bottle of wine and some nice candies waiting for us inside. The cottage is very clean and most importantly very spacious. We were a large group of people (5 adults ans 2 kids), but never felt crowded. We really appreciated the washer and dryer :-). Of course we did not spend a lot of time inside the cottage. The outside is simply AMAZING and very well maintained. We enjoyed the deck and most importantly the view (not to mention the constant sounds of the waves). The kids had lots of space to run around and play. We appreciated the fact that we had our very own private beach. The only thing is that it is not a sandy beach, but there is a sandy beach (as well as a beautiful splash pad)in Beaverton which is only a five minute drive. We all we were emotional the morning we had to leave. We definitely enjoyed our stay and recommend this cottage to any family with or without kids.
This is a traditional cottage with lots of space and all the essentials you need.
We had a wonderful trip and our boys (3&6) enjoyed every minute. Perfect for all ages but do bring water shoes as it is rocky. You won't be upset by this pick... makes me smile, just thinking about it.
The cottage is warm and cozy with a fantastic view of Lake Simcoe and a very large dock. The owners could not have been more accommodating and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Each and every evening had a sunset not to be missed. This was the first year the cottage was put up for rent and some work was still on-going but overall it's a most pleasant and peaceful place.
Our group of friends had an enjoyable weekend at this cottage, despite weather that wasn't entirely cooperative. The property is in excellent condition - the photos do not do it justice, and there is easy access to the lake, which is shallow. There are other properties nearby, but there is considerable privacy if you wish to sit outside on the lawn or at the dock. Beaverton is a five-minute drive, giving easy access to groceries, LCBO, etc. We had a great time and wouldn't hesitate to return!
My husband and I just got back from a four day trip to a little piece of Heaven. I was so saddened to leave and would have done anything to extend our trip. It's so hard to go back to the busy city when you've spend time at this tranquil and beautiful location. The cabin looks right on to the water and it's just unbelievably gorgeous. You can lay in bed and look out to the lake. Who wouldn't want to wake up to that? We had our own private beach and access to water activities such as a paddle boat and kayaking. The cabin has recently been renovated and was done so well. They have everything that you could possibly need and more -blew our expectations away! We spent our nights BBQing, making s'mores by the fire pit and watching the beautiful sunset. I've never seen a sky light up like that. The owners of the cabin are so kind and generous and welcomed us with open arms. I absolutely can not wait to go again!
Nearby Beaverton provides amenities such as shopping, antiques, restaurants, veterinarian and medical services, golf courses, and historic landmarks. Within a short drive you will find theaters (Red Barn and Orillia Playhouse), Casino Rama, provincial parks, pick-your-own farms, and other Ontario attractions. Of course, Toronto is only one hour away with all the big city attractions: world class Zoo, Science Centre, museums, theme parks, first class shopping, medical facilities, spas, and golf courses.
