CURRENTLY BEING REMODELED! Pictures will be updated before March 1st 2019. This beautiful 6000 square foot home is great for entertaining. It has a great big yard and an entertainment basement with huge full bar, poker table, pool table, and theater. This home is on a wooded lot at the top of a hill with a walk out basement so guests can come and go while entertaining and not disturb people sleeping upstairs. It’s only a 30-60 minute drive downtown depending on traffic, but there is no reason to even go out if you stay in this house!

Great space, lots of room
We loved spending Christmas week here. House was great for family party and nice to have all that room during the week. The property definitely has everything you need for a comfortable stay, privacy and for large gatherings.
Family wedding in Elgin
Great stay for our family. Owner very responsive and accommodating. Quiet neighborhood, spacious home, memorable weekend.
The house was fabulous, truly a mini-mansion as described. It was a perfect setting for a family get together. There was plenty of beds, enough bathrooms and the basement area was amazing. The kitchen was very large for everyone to get together and appliances were great. Large refrigerator and one in the garage also. My daughter got married that weekend and we had a wonderful place to get ready and take photos. Neighborhood was great and plenty of parking. Would definitely recommend it.
It was huge and fit us all very well
The basement was the definite highlight of the house. The bedrooms were very nice and the family rooms were good too. My only small critique is the kitchen. It is kinda small for the size of the house and the pots/silverware/etc were a little old and over used. We had a great time though! Thanks!
Large fun house!
Spacious house with many amenities. Enjoyed Sunday football in the theater room, large kitchen and bedrooms. Nice neighborhood. Good communication. Would stay here again. Only suggestion would be to have more supplies in the kitchen for guests who prefer to cook during their stay.
Needlessly disappointing. Seems to need a better property manager. Too bad!

I checked my phone today and counted 15 phone calls to the owner and his assistant in 3 days. The main issues were a broken TV, which we wasted time trying to reboot, only to get the cartoon channel, a broken Ice maker and freezer with an unsuccessful repair the afternoon before departure. And a lack of towels, which were stacked in a dirty pile higher than the huge washer. We left the place cleaner than we found it.
The TV was not broken. This guest just didn't know how to use it. After the guest checked out I went to the house to see what was wrong and sure enough it worked just fine. Just like it did for the dozens of other guests. I kindly and reluctantly answered all 15 times to help him with things such as how to turn on a TV... There was a problem with the ice maker that we had fixed at the beginning of the stay and sure enough that too was working after it was repaired, he just didn't now how to turn on the ice maker and never asked. The towels that are mentioned were washed, but not dispersed out to the bathrooms. I'm sorry to say that the only problem here were some guests that should stay at a hotel, not right for a house rental since they need too much hand holding.
Only 36 miles to Downtown Chicago (45-90 minutes depending on traffic)
