We felt it was clean and modern ( yet
still "cabinny" ) and would love to come back and stay again sometime.
Our only significant complaint was the lack of air conditioning - the last
couple days and nights were stifling - yet we would chalk that up to
absolutely bad luck - the heat wave that blew through was almost historic.
Pro's - Very comfortable, modern home, yet absolutely retains that "up
north" feel. Very quiet neighborhood. Loved the lot, and the lake.
Nice to be able to access your garage ( we kept one of our cars in
it ) and have access to your tools ( the axe ! ). We loved the fire ring,
the way. Your two decks ( upper and lower ) are awesome !
Your DSL service was very good, and the TV service was ok. Your supplies
( and quality ) of paper goods were excellent, as well as your
washer/dryer / detergent.
Con's - No air conditioning was the biggie.
Thanks again for renting us your place....Your off-season deal seems to be
a good one, too. Make no mistake - we really enjoyed your
home, and the way you managed it.
We had a great family vacation with our grandchildren they loved the water from sun up to sun down
Had a great time. Two small kids loved the lake. Took day excursions to TC for Cherry Festival, Elk Viewing in Gaylord and Fireworks at TreeTops.
Our family thoroughly enjoyed our 2 weeks stay on Lake Louise! The weather was very cooperative, cool in the mornings and evenings and by midday in the mid-70's. The house is located in a quiet and private area. It was a wonderful area to walk, boat, fish, swim and just relax by the lake. My children enjoyed the greenery, space of the yard and peacefulness. The house was plenty big for a family of 7. We loved the town of Gaylord, especially the ice cream store and Tap 32 restaurant. We went strawberry picking at Estelle's, walked in the Nature Preserve just up the road, saw the elk and spend a wonderful day at Mackinaw Island just to name a few attractions / activities in the area. Mr. Dove was easy to work with, quick with responses and tried to make sure our stay was pleasant.
Our family (with 2 very young children) enjoyed this cottage. It was clean and all necessary supplies were available if you need anything. Steve, the owner, was also very responsive throughout the process. I'd recommend this place! Thanks Steve!
Loved the cabin. It was clean and stocked really well. The king sized bed was very comfortable. It rained most of the time we were there but that didn't stop us from doing the sight seeing we wanted to do.
Thanks Steve for the use of the cabin and for being such a considerable host.
My husband and I stayed for a long weekend. It was great that we were able to bring our dog along with us. The cottage was clean and we had full use of the garage which was nice since my husband had a place to store his motorcycle. It was very quiet (no neighbors while we were there), except for some geese and ducks! Canoes were available for use, but we were busy sightseeing most of the time. The Ocqueoc Falls are a little over an hour away, Mackinaw isn't too far either. Thanks for a weekend Steve!
The Louis M. Groen Nature Preserve is just a short drive from the chalet. Here you'll find almost 800 acres of preserved land that is restricted to hiking, biking, equestrian, snow shoeing, and cross country skiing.
