First time I saw this property, I realized it was the perfect place for everybody wants to spend some days in Florence. The apartment is bright, calm and close to everything.
What makes this Apartment unique
It's quite unique to find in Florence an apartment with a balcony and a terrace where you can enjoy a view of Cathedral S. Maria del Fiore, the bell tower of Giotto and the Baptystery and the church of San Lorenzo.

All you will ever need.
This was our second time staying at Giovanni’s apartment, it is situated in the historic centre of Florence, the view from the balcony is of the Duomo, what more could you ask ..? The apartment is perfect for two people, perhaps with a child. It has everything you need. Washer , dishwasher ironing board ( table top ) hair dryer. The only downside is the 70plus steps up to Apartment, no issue if you’re relatively fit but no good if you’re infirm. Giovanni is a superb host We will be booking again...!!!
A wonderful apartment with a great host
We stayed in the apartment for two weeks and were completely at home (if home had stunning views of Florence).
Giovanni graciously gave us homemade marmalade and a bottle of wine to enjoy. The kitchen has great amenities and a good pantry. I cooked several times during our stay.
The balcony table was a perfect place to dine, while the terrace provided comfortable seating and fantastic views to enjoy a glass of wine.
We found the rest of the apartment very comfortable and enjoyed the large shower. It is in a good location and Giovanni is a conscientious and gracious host. We hope to be back next year!
Amazing Apartment, Best Central Location
Of all the apartments we rented during our three weeks in Italy, this was our favorite. As long as you can manage the stairs, the reward of this perfect apartment is so worth it. The bedroom is roomy and the bed very comfortable. The balcony off the bedroom is an added bonus. The kitchen was well stocked. The bathroom is large and the shower was the biggest of all the apartments we stayed in. The living area has a comfortable couch and access to a lovely upper deck with 360 views of the Florentine rooftops, including the Duomo. The location couldn’t be better: walking distance to SMN train station, and just minutes walking to Mercato Centrale, Ponte Vecchio, the Accademia and every other site you’ll want to visit. Our host Giovanni was very helpful and communicated consistently before our arrival and was available to us for anything while we were there. We give it 6 stars!
Amazing property in an amazing city!
If you can physically handle climbing 70+ steps, you need search no further. This property is ideally located with two terraces that offer beautiful views of the Duomo and the Campanile. Giovanni met us at the apartment and showed us everything we needed to know. Exceptionally well equipped kitchen and large tile shower with plenty of hot water. Easy walk to train station. Highly recommend.
Worth the climb!
This small apartment punches above its weight, feeling more like a thousand square feet than nearly 600. You have everything you need, though new close hangers and glassware would be a plus.
Air conditioning in each room is easy to use and a must for the warm days (even in April). The house really shines at night where you can people watch from the lower deck or view the magic of the Florentine rooftops from the top deck!
We found it easy enough but remember there are two sets of numbers, one for business and one for residential. In this case 15 is next the Smallzi gelatoria.
Giovanni was very easy to reach and very responsive. He will share recommendations about the local area. He also provided a local cell phone that you can use for local calling.
Believe everything they say about the steps! Narrow, numerous and steep, but a hidden gem awaits at the top...don't let the steps keep you away.
We really enjoyed our stay. The apartment was clean and well equipped. Great location. Two terraces.
Apartment seemed quite large for two people. The bedroom was large with a terrace on the roof. The bed was quite comfortable. The living room was comfortable. I think the couch opens into a bed but we didn't try it. There is another terrace on the roof from the living room. The kitchen has a 4-burner gas stove, an oven, fridge, dish washer, washing machine and a microwave. There was a toaster, a kettle and 4 different kinds of coffee makers. The owner had made sure there was lots of coffee and tea bags. There was soap for the shower, washing machine, dish washer and sinks. There were spices, oil and vinegar. Lots of plates, glasses and pots and pans. This was the best equipped apartment we have ever rented.
The only negative side to the apartment are the 72 steps up. We left the apartment after 12 days in much better shape than when we started, but the stairs never got easier.
If you like cooking, you will find everything you need in Mercato Centrale di San Lorenzo (central market), the main market for food, 100 mt from home. The market was built in the second half of the XIX century, at the time when Florence was capital of the nation. The market offers meat, fish, fruit, vegetables, cheese of the best qualities at cheap prices. It is the traditional market used by people living in the town. It is open only in the morning till two pm. If you prefer to do the shopping in a self-service minimarket, there are two great supermarkets right near by.
Close to the front door (to the left leaving the building) there is one of the most equipped cd-DVD shops in town (Alberti). And a TIM shop (mobile phone service).
Many restaurants and pizzerias are available nearby.
