Mountain hideout, 18 miles east of Stevens Pass nestled along Nason Creek! This architectural gem sits like a "mountain lookout" , gazing west to Nason Ridge and south toward Big Jim in the Enchantments. Enjoy and explore this 22 acres of privacy.
This property was designed to remind you of living in a mountain lookout, like the ones that used to dot the mountain tops on the surrounding peaks. The living room view gazes unobstructed toward Nason Ridge, which Harvey Manning dubbed "the finest ridge walk in the Cascades", which includes Rock Mountain, Mt. Howard & Mt. Mastiff. Looking south Big Jim peaks out from the Enchantments with stunning views. This is a 22-acre private estate, you see no other houses or noisy neighbors. You are free to roam the grounds, ride mountain bikes, lounge on the terrace and listen to your favorite music, while someone barbeques dinner!! Explore the area, you will find wild flowers, mushrooms, too many birds to count and over 1000 feet of Nason Creek waterfront to wade, swim or cool off the dogs! This isn't a five star hotel, I think it's better, but it is a natural place where you can encounter coyotes, black bears, cougars, deer and we have even sighted wolves on two occasions. So be prepared for a sophisticated mountain adventure with adventures abounding!

Beautiful property - - very welcoming and cozy house
My five friends and I wanted to do a snowshoeing weekend trip and the house was perfect for it. We were originally going to drive to Stevens Pass to snowshoe on a trail, but ended up snowshoeing around this property down to Nason Creek instead. The house itself is also very nice and clean, inviting, and had everything we needed to have a fun weekend of snowshoeing, cooking, and breaking bread with friends. It was also close enough to Leavenworth to take a day trip into town for a few hours of wine tasting. Hope to be back in the summer and/or next winter. Thumbs up to the owner for clear and prompt communication.
winter vacation - snow shoeing/relaxation
It was just what we wanted. The setting was wonderful with, fortunately, a large snow fall the day before. It is a wonderful space, bright and airy, with comfortable bedrooms for the two couples. Bill, the owner, was fabulous. He made sure we had everything we wanted. We chose it in part because he accepted our golden retriever who also loved it! We made the trip to Leavenworth for a dinner and that drive was easy. We will be back!
Lots of snow!
We had a wonderful time in the midst of a big snow storm. We were glad for 4 wheel drive and chains! The place is beautiful and we would stay again.
It would have been helpful if there had been closet space and drawers available for the client. The closets and drawers were full of clothes. However, we just lived out of our suit cases and enjoyed the peaceful surroundings.
