The apartment afforded excellent value for the price. Taxis are usually $7 anywhere in town. There are many excellent restaurants in the area, and it is not far from the beach.
thanks Barbra for your review and hope to see you back again in the future
The Casa de Suenos compound is perfectly positioned on the Golf Course (formerly the San José Municipal Golf Course). It is a meticulously maintained course integrated into the desert and ocean geography. Casa de Suenos is a short walk to downtown San Jose, the historic town, and walking distance to the beach and hotel row. It is located on a very quite and peaceful street....perfect place for a vacation.
San Jose offers our guests a great low key atmosphere. From its beautiful beaches, to the brilliant green estuary, an experience in San Jose will be one you will cherish forever. On your visit, you can ride horses on the beaches, get lost in an art gallery, or just sun tan in the yearlong sunny weather. San Jose has something for you to do – no matter what you are looking for. Take side trips to the East Cape, scuba or snorkel in Cabo Pulmo, or go to the party town of Cabo San Lucas, just miles away. Regional chefs create delicious seafood dishes by using only the finest organic local ingredients. The town square is home to the cathedral – a reminder of San Jose del Cabo’s vivid history as a mission.
San Jose is reminiscent of an older time, where the days are longer and the mood softer. The Old Jesuit Mission, known as Parroquia San José, has a history dating back to the 1730's, The Estero, an estuary with an endless variety of colorful birds and wildlife offers a serene and tranquil escape, and the many quaint shops and boutiques and fine restaurants beckon you to discover a treasure or two, then relax over local cuisine and a cool drink.
The city of San José has recognized what a quieter atmosphere with a historic downtown appeal offers, and the town is doing something about it. It’s protecting its charm by investing in the redevelopment of the downtown area, creating a pedestrian village. This, combined with the famous Thursday downtown “Art Walk” and Saturday Organic Market have increased the “Family Friendly” theme of San Jose.
