I moved to Annapolis from Philadelphia almost 20 years ago. I was attracted to the quaintness of the town, the beauty of the Chesapeake and laid back lifestyle that made weekends feel like a constant vacation. My work life lends itself to frequent travel so it was important for me to create a home environment that was extremely peaceful and inviting. The entire second floor is the master bedroom suite, renovated to offer privacy and a feeling as if you were in a tree-house. Similarly, I wanted to bring the outdoor in with the inclusion of field stone throughout the kitchen and expansive windows/sliders giving easy access to the outdoors. Sitting in an Adirondack chair by the fountain is the perfect place to start your day. I've enjoyed creating this unique and beautiful space and hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
We were a group of 7 women. We found the Annapolis house very comfortable and convenient. There was easily enough room for our group. The kitchen is well stocked -- although there was a suggestion for a better coffee maker. My suggestion would be for a safety bar in the downstairs shower, since the tiled floor is slippery. Otherwise we all really enjoyed the house and its location.
We were in town for ARMY-NAVY game and wanted a nice home to stay at with our Mid. This is a beautiful historic home just a few blocks from the Westin. It is very clean, very well appointed, spacious and comfortable. The neighborhood is very quiet with plenty of parking. Beds were so comfortable! Plenty of towels, great appliances, everything you need. We only stayed 2 nights but we wish we could have stayed more! Will definitely rent this home again if it's available.
The house is tastefully decorated, very clean and in a beautiful neighborhood. We loved our stay and will return.
The home was even better than pictured. The bedrooms were large and the public spaces (living room and large kitchen/family room gave us space to visit with relatives who also were from out of town to attend my daughter's wedding. There is a sunroom and sleeping area upstairs and a inviting outside area we never got to use but add to the appeal of the house and invite one to spend some time relaxing in the sun with a cup of coffee. The hostess was gracious, welcoming, and very helpful. I didn't want to leave!
We were in town for a USNA football game with friends and Sandra's home was the perfect location to stay. We were joined by two other couples and our midshipman along with a few friends for the evenings. The easy location to the football stadium and downtown was perfect and Sandra was so accommodating when we had separate arrival times. We highly recommend staying here and we felt at home. Being able to walk to Miss Shirley's was an added bonus!
It was my first Home away. The owners couldn't be more accommodating. The house was more than big enough for me and my in laws. It was a pleasure having everyone under one roof. Location was a plus as well. I highly recommend this rental.
