Real livin', not Snottsdale! A happy hippie moved into the Barrio, five miles north of the airport. This renovated 1940's stucco casa is in a lovely, old neighborhood. The backyard is big, shaded and has a 6 foot block wall around it. It is perfect for overnight business travelers, road trippin' pups (pet friendly) and watching Arizona's glorious sunsets, while BBQing burgers, chicken, steaks or veggies! I use no pesticides, or harmful chemicals inside, or outside the casa. The bed linens are organic cotton and bath towels are free of stinky, harmful chemicals, as well. This irrigated lot has a long concrete driveway (plenty of parking) a big pine, two pistachio, lemon, orange, grapefruit and tangelo trees. The helpful neighbors are pleasant, watch over the house and know each other.
Inside, this little beauty has been updated with a new kitchen, bath, as well as nice cool concrete floors, a small doggie door and recently (8/18), new energy efficient windows in the kitchen and the dining room. All the south facing windows. I'm replacing the old single pane, as often as I can. But, windows that keep the heat out are expensive.
She's not boring, my Executive Casita. In the spirit of embracing Arizona culture, my home is colorful and comfortable. I want you to feel like an old friend. If you're looking for beige walls and 70's furniture, you've got the wrong place. The desert is full of rich color and beautiful people. Happy Hippie has a little Day of the Dead, meets 60's bohemian peace and love decor.
The 'Valley of the Sun' is beautiful. I've lived here a very long time and I want you to enjoy your visit. Discover the desert!
The drinking water is RO and clean. The kitchen is stocked with a complete array of accoutrements and chemical free cleaning supplies. But, if something is missing, just holla!
WholeFoods Market is less than five miles away, at the Camelback Colonnade, which has some lovely local restaurants and shopping.
You'll find a binder with listings of some of our best restaurants, suggestions on shopping, sight seeing and of course, I want you to contact me to answer any questions you might have. After all, you are my guest.
If you are coming in for business, even just overnight, please consider staying at my Hippie Home. Make it your second home, while on the road.
For a small fee (if I am available) I will pick you up at Sky Harbor Airport and deliver you to the house, as well as get you back, in time to fly out.
Happy Hippie is five miles north of Sky Harbor Airport.

I could go on . . .
There is so much to see and do, in Phoenix. If you're a foodie, let me introduce you to some wonderful places that will leave you dreaming about when you can get back here to eat again.
If you are coming in late and would like a few necessary items, for your morning, I can stock the fridge for you. Just let me know. There will always be organic eggs, butter, milk, tea and fair trade coffee, (from Equal Exchange) already ground and in the fridge. You can't begin your adventure without a cup of joe. I'm not a heathen! Just a hippie ;-)
