Amazing place!

  • 5 of 5

We had an amazing time watching the sunset from the hot tub. It was really nice to find a place with beds that fit my 6'4 husband. Super cozy, really fun, beautiful area.

Nice, quiet location; hot tub was a plus!

  • 4 of 5

This property is nice and has most anything you'd need to be comfortable. We were a family of four (two adults, two kids), plus the grandparents (two more adults) and there was more than enough room. Of note, the three main bedrooms, two bathrooms, and the living space with the ocean view are on the top floor. The kitchen, one more bedroom, one more bathroom, and another living room are downstairs with no view to the ocean, but overlooking the modest backyard/patio and hot tub area. The beach at this neighborhood is mostly rocky. It was a stormy weekend and we didn't get down to this community's beach, but we did like walking around and enjoying a peek at the houses here--it's a small and private area. We thoroughly enjoyed Hug Point, Arcadia Beach, Cannon Beach, Seaside, and Gearhart (there's a McMenamins there) from this home base. You do have to drive north to each of those points, but it's very easy... all along the 101 with ample signs to locate the sites. Hug Point was probably the highlight for our kids... with some small caves and a waterfall to explore.

Decent for the price, though pics are a bit misleading

  • 4 of 5

The property was a good price for what it was, however, it was not as updated downstairs. And the picture of the access to the beach was a bit misleading. You could not really get to the beach from this home. Other than those two things, it was a nice place.

Amazing spot on the Oregon Coast

  • 5 of 5

The house was very well appointed and very clean. It was recently remodeled and had newer appliances. The view from the upper deck to the ocean was spectacular. Only a short easy walk to the beach front. The owners were great to work with. Will definitely stay here again for a longer period of time

Basic and a little tired

  • 3 of 5

I stay in vacation homes with friends and family regularly (at least once every 2 years if not more often) and this one was probably one the least comfortable and least equipped. The kitchen had no pans nor skillets and virtually no cooking utensils and limited pots, but huge collection of lids and knives. But they did manage to stock 3 coffee makers and a turkey roaster. Go figure. The downstairs living room had two couches with springs that were dead. Sitting in them was like sitting in quicksand and terribly uncomfortable.... especially on the back. And don’t look under the cushions unless you’re truly starved and want to find some spare food scraps. The downstairs bed room lacked a closet with hangers. The bunkbed had a metal frame so it was terribly squeaky and shaky. But the worst part was the fold out sofa bed. This was a bed where the back simply unfolds out so the sofa opens wide. Where the seat meets the back cushion is a long crease and the support bars run parallel to that crease. To find a space in which to sleep, You need to rest your body between the center crease and one of the support bars. We didn’t use it for this reason. One of us ended up sleeping on the filthy couch. To top it off, the cleaning policy requires that we clean AND DRY the towels, then leave them in unfolded on the couch. Imagine 11 people staying. This means before you need to vacate, everyone needs to get up early enough to do your cleaning and eating then wait for a full load of laundry (wash AND dry) before you can leave at 11 AM. Probably leaving clean towels on the couch when pets are present is undesirable. And how does anyone know whether not previous guests actually washed the towels and not just dry them? To save some time we washed the towels then left them in the dryer to dry before leaving.

Owner's Response: We're sorry to hear of the issues that arose that prevented you from having an exceptional experience at this house. We take feedback from our guests very seriously, and have shared your comments with the homeowner. As the kitchen was recently updated the owner has ordered more pots and pans so they can be acceptable to use with the new stove. We apologize they were not delivered before your stay. While the furniture on the first and second levels of the house is brand new, the furniture in the basement is more suited for kids. Per the checkout instructions, it is not required to wash and dry the towels; it is something that is asked of guests to help with the turnaround time so the unit can ready for the next guests. We encourage travelers to reach out to the guest contact or our Customer Experience team dedicated to helping guests 7 days a week so any issues can be addressed while in residence. The owner takes great pride in the house and the necessary updates have been made so future guests can have an enjoyable stay at the house. Thank you for letting us know! Best, The Evolve Team

Great place for two families

  • 5 of 5

I stayed here with our family and another both families with 2 kids. We had a blast. We lucked out with low tide in the morning when the kids wanted to be on the beach. We BBQ'd and enjoyed the big kitchen. The hot tub also was great considering the chilly fall mornings. The washer and dryer were convenient and the facility provided soap. Highly recommend. The views were spectacular.
