The apartment belongs to the municipality of El Sauzal is a coastal city dedicated to agriculture, fishing and vine.
Ideal apartment to relax and unwind, located on the top of a typical Canarian villa with totally separate entrance, in a very quiet urbanization, with sea views and the majestic Mount Teide to, with an amazing panoramic view of the Entire north Island Tenerife. THE APARTMENT HAS SATELLITE TV AND FREE WIFI.
The apartment belongs to the municipality of El Sauzal is a coastal town dedicated to agriculture, fishing and the vine.
Enjoy and delight with the nature while love all living beings that inhabit in the wold. And I'm love with my seven Canary Islands and their culture.
Margarita Santana Medina purchased this apartment in 2004
The town is charming, good weather and is well connected with the rest of the island.
The house is built following the roots of typical Canarian arquirectura.
Spectacular sea views, north of Tenerife and Mount Teide and tranquility for your night's rest.
Spacious terrraza / solarium and garden to enjoy outside of the house.
Having spent such a delightful Christmas here in 2012, we decided to return again last December. It was just as we remembered - absolutely wonderful. The apartment, the amazing views and the friendliness of Margarita and Jaime. Our previous review is still on this page so we will not repeat everything. We will just add that if you want to do more than just sun bathe on their amazing terrace, the apartment is perfectly situated for exploring the island...north or south.eveywhere is in easy reach. This time we went south one day to Masca and surrounding villages and sites. The "scenic route " there is an experience in itself ! This truly is a brilliant place to stay...try it for yourself...
This was our first visit to Tenerife so we were delighted to discover this lovely apartment in a fantastic location. The unobstructed sea views combined with side views towards Puerto Cruz with El Teide volcano rising above the clouds lent the place a wholly magical feel.
The most hospitable and friendly owners were a mine of information on the area and the island in general. The apartment manages to combine completely modern facilities with a cosy, traditional feel and the sunny terrace is a quiet and relaxing place from which to enjoy the fabulous views. Both keen gardeners, the owners have managed to create an exotic oasis around the property and the banana tree, complete with bananas, was a highlight. Highly recommended!
Margarita and Jaime are a delightful couple who will give you a warm welcome. They will then stand back giving you full privacy if required, but you have the knowledge that they are more than happy to be contacted at any time for any query.
The apartment is as described. Beautifully furnished and spotlessly clean. The views shown on the website are indeed those seen from the balcony, which is large and in the sun all day. The local village shops are a 5 minute drive away , but a restaurant is within walking distance...downhill on the way back, which would be a blessing at the end of the evening. Alas, we didn't manage to sample it ourselves as we made the mistake of leaving it until the Sunday, not realising was always closed on that day.
Driving is easy here ( until one attempts to manoevre through some of the larger villages), but locals are very forgiving and we had no horns blasting at us ! Would recommend more than the basic tourist map if intending to fully explore the island. The people are very friendly, and food and drinks are cheap even in
"tourist " areas.
Puerto de la Cruz was a special favourite of mine, a mere 15 minute drive away.. Despite all the tourists, it maintained its charm and is a lovely place to just stroll around or people watch.
All in all, this is a most delightful apartment set in beautiful surroundings in a quiet residential area. Impossible to fault in any way.
From the moment we were welcomed by Margarita and Jaime, the friendly owners who live nearby, we knew this apartment was a great choice. And then the amazing view from the sun terrace confirmed it!
Located in a peaceful residential neighbourhood, it is good for exploring the whole north of the Island. It's worth noting that a car is essential, as it's quite hilly and the nearest shops were too far to walk for us. There are around 45 steps up to the front door also.
The apartment is finished to a very high standard and is extremely well furnished and equipped. The beds are singles and, although Jaime put them together at our request, they don't work well as a double (there is a sofa bed as an alternative though).
The three local bars/restaurants are all worth visiting, and we would recommend a visit to the wine museum just up the road. We loved the local towns of La Orotava and La Laguna, both rich architecture. Driving through the mountains in the North East was a treat too, as was our trip up the volcano.
We would definitely recommend a stay here. We are left with happy memories of friendly people, interesting history/culture, good food/wine and incredible sunsets from that terrace!
After nearly 20 years of renting self-catering holiday accommodation, I think this was the best. This compact apartment is all you could dream of. With a beautiful setting overlooking the sea, situated in a quiet up-market residential area (well away from the motorway), with three restaurants within 5 minutes walk, and with a very high standard of furnishings, this is the perfect place to spend a quiet romantic week. The owners are very friendly and helpful, while also being respectful of their guests' privacy.

The apartment was lovely and beautifully furnished and equipped. The views from the terrace are fantastic. The owners were extremely pleasant and helpful. We will certainly return there the next time we visit relatives in Tenerife. We stayed there as we were visiting relatives nearby but the apartment is well located for visiting Puerto de la Cruz and Santa Cruz.
El Sauzal is a coastal town dedicated to fishing, agriculture and the production of wine, welcomes the provincial museum of wine and vine, in a Hacienda Agricola Canaria seventeenth century, offering visitors tasting and selling their products. Walking through the beautiful trails of the area and the mountain of Sauzal, photographing the coast and beach of fine volcanic sand, and steep flora and fauna, cliffs is a pleasure for the senses. Good access to the Teide National Park 53 km and only 56 minutes. You can climb the volcano (on foot or by cable car). Strolling through La Laguna (World Heritage Site). S / C. Tenerife (Capital, Museums, Shops, Puerto, Auditorium, Casino). Pto. De la Cruz (tourism and fishing). La Orotava (Historical and Artistic). Icod de los Vinos (El Drago ancient relic of the tertiary). Golf fans for just 15 minutes away, The Real Club de Golf de Tenerife and Buenavista with 18 holes and Golf Club La Rosaleda 9 hoyos.-
Other Activities: fitness, sports, hiking
Golf: Golf courses within minutes of your accommodation: The Real Club de Golf deTenerife (Rock-Tacoronte). Founded in 1932, it is the second oldest club in Spain and still preserves a typically British air of distinction. It is 600 meters above sea level and has 18 holes. The Club de Golf La Rosaleda, in a heavenly setting amidst banana plantations with 9-hole Par-3 to the entrance of Pto. La Cruz. and a 30-minute drive Golf Buenavista del Norte with 18 holes at only 50m. of the coast.-
CLIMATE: The climate of the islands is balanced throughout the year. That's why the Canary Islands are called 'The Fortunate Islands or the Islands of Eternal Spring'. In winter, temperatures rarely fall below 20 degrees and in summer about 30 degrees. With this weather you can sunbathe and swim in the sea all year. In cities like La Laguna, Puerto de la Cruz, Santa Cruz de Tenerife, etc ... there day and night life full of colors and bustle, locals and tourists mingle in the shopping streets, promenades, cafes and restaurants, you will feel a friendly atmosphere and welcome to the island of Tenerife.
