Our beautiful townhome is located in the unique village of Point Venture. Point Venture is on Lake Travis, 20 miles northwest of Austin in the heart of the Texas Hill Country. Lake Travis is 44,000 acres of cool, clean, fun - full of many areas to swim, relax, or engage in boating/jet-skiiing/fishing/etc.
You can enjoy picturesque views of the lake while lounging on our largest deck or walk down a gentle slope to jump in for a swim. You can also have a great time watching the wildlife, especially the happy deer that roam around and eat corn nearly out of your hand! The largest deck is very spacious and contains a BBQ pit for grilling and a nice patio table & chairs with an umbrella.
Our town-home is a two-story waterfront home with casual, but very comfortable furnishings in a cove just down the street from the Gnarly Gar Marina and Restaurant. Be sure to check out the live bands and feed the fish off of the side of the restaurant! The amount and size of the fish on the top of the water will astonish you!
We have three bedrooms, two full baths, and two outdoor decks. The place will accommodate up to 8 people. The master suite has 2 queen-sized beds, and a private deck. The other downstairs bedroom has a bunk bed with a queen on the bottom and twin on the top. The 3rd bedroom (on the main level) has a queen-size bed with an unattached bathroom. The living room has a twin pull out bed inside a couch, and a typical couch.
You will have access to the gated 50-acre waterfront park which has two boat ramps, children's playground, picnic tables, bar-b-que pits, and pavilion. You rarely have to wait to launch your boat. And when lake levels are low, the waterfront park becomes the most popular weekend hangout thanks to the expansive white sand beach that appears. Fun for the whole family!
There are many activities to choose from in the gated community of Point Venture. We have a 9-hole public golf course with a driving range, putting green, and pro shop. We also have a Jr. Olympic size pool (closed on Mondays), tennis courts and basketball courts that are right around the corner.
The Point Venture Marina, located a short drive down the road, provides a fuel dock, a store, and The Gnarly Gar restaurant/bar on the Lake. It often stays open until 2am during peak season. There are watercraft rentals located across the lake and are easily accessible with the Water Taxi. The Gnarly Gar and Water Taxi only operate in the summer season.

We are a group of two young families that love Point Venture! Our children love it too! We have been coming out here for the last 15 years and staying with friends and family, so we decided to get our own place. Since we can't use it full time, we decided to let others experience the enjoyment that this fun little lake village has to offer!
My friends and I loved this cute place on Lake Travis this past weekend! We will absolutely be back again soon!!
Lovely place ! It felt like home . Great choice if you have kiddos. All kinds of board games and activities that kept them content while they were winding down from their fun in the sun on the beautiful lake Travis. And great for a group of friends getting together . House was very clean and the kitchen had everything you will need to prepare a meal. Pretty view of the lake from the balcony . It was easy access to the boat launch, which by the way we never had to wait . Will definitely be back .
We had everything needed to have a comfortable relaxing weekend in the condo. The kitchen and bathrooms were stocked with all essentials. The living room is cozy but could accommodate 10 girls for a game night. Loved all the decor and the beds were nice and soft. We enjoyed feeding the deer and watching the sunset from the spacious deck. One night we made the short drive down to the Gnarly Gar for live music. Will be coming back again with the family soon!
We just returned from a weekend with family at Point Venture on Lake Austin. It worked perfectly for us! Our family consisted of 8 adults and 2 children. We had more than the recommended number for 2 of the 3 nights but easily made it work with 2 inflatable mattresses. We allowed our very pregnant daughter-in-law and son to stay in the main level bedroom while our eldest son, wife and 2 children stayed in the Master suite. Our youngest newly married son and his wife were game to sleep on the floor mattress and Grandma and Grandad made out fine on the couch and fold out single. The separation of floor levels was perfect to allow the children a reasonable bedtime with the adults playing games around the dining room table. The dining room table seats 4 and there are 2 bar stools at the snack bar. I brought 4 extra folding chairs and a folding table so that we did not have to sit on the couches to eat. Worked great as we could fold it up to make room for the inflatable mattress.
It is hard to tell by the picture but the entire main level living area is linoleum flooring. I loved that because I did not worry about following everyone cleaning up a light colored carpet. Just required a quick sweep once or twice a day.
The kitchen is a real, full sized kitchen with all the necessary amenities for cooking for a family gathering. I brought a crock pot and there is a very nice gas grill so there were plenty of options that will help you feed a group. We also brought enough paper goods to keep cleaning to a minimum but there are basic kitchen utensils and dishes if you choose to use them.
2 full bathrooms were a must with our group. Showers worked great. We brought extra towels and washcloths but the closet was well stocked. Even used the washer/dryer unexpectedly.
There is a beautiful view of the lake and lights across the lake from the balcony as well as plenty of deer to watch. We also ate one meal out on the balcony on the patio furniture provided. Right now is off season for lake activities but we loved that it was quiet with plenty of paved walking opportunities or off road hiking. Carl, one of the owners, was easy to contact and made us feel welcome on our stay. He was able to timely answer all our questions and was very pleasant to work with.
All in all I would highly recommend this location for a comfortable gathering of 2-10 people. Our family made many happy Christmas memories. It fit our needs perfectly!
Great location to escape from the everyday life. The apartment was very clean and nice exactly as shown in the pictures, incl the deers :-) We had everything we needed.
