Anita Sangiolo purchased this house in 2013
From the front door of our B&B we can see the back yard of Birch Hill. When this charming home came on the market in December 2012, we immediately purchased it. We poured heart and soul into making it a desirable rental house with the goal of creating a family/ child friendly home.
The location is superb ... on a quiet street just steps away from the beach. We are mid-cape. Day trips can be planned to Province town, Chatham, Hyannis, Plymouth Plantation and the Ferries to Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard.
We live just around the corner, and are always there for you. We invite you to come, relax and enjoy all the charm that Cape Cod has to offer.
Just back from our first family vacation, 8 adults and five toddlers/babies (3, 2,1, 10 months and 8 weeks old)! Having never rented a home for a vacation I was a little apprehensive..We were renting a home in an area that we had never been to (Cape Cod) and only going by photo and the owner's description (which was spot on!). We arrived a bit early on check in day as we had heard about the "Cape Cod terror traffic" and wanted to be ahead of it. Living on Long Island's east end We are all,too familiar with the trecherous summer traffic....well...Cpae Cod's did not "disappoint" us. We met Anita at her own lovely home and she could not have been more charming...put our mind right at ease that we had made a very right choice for our first vacation home rental. Anita told us we could park our vehicle at the house and go to the beach as the housekeepers were not yet finished cleaning..understandable. We did that and also "got the lay of the land". Once in the house we breathed a wonderful sigh of relief...the description was that and more. so much room for the children to enjoy and the adults could easily get around without anyone or anything getting in the way! The backyard was very welcoming...plenty of seating and enough backyard for us to set up our outdoor movie screen, which we enjoyed watching movies under the full moon glistening off the nearby water.....heaven! A very large gas grill is provided that allowed us to cook outdoor easily for our large crowd. The outdoor shower was a blessing getting the little cleaned off from their days on the beach, which they loved! A nice finish to our busy days was sitting outside around the firepit toasting Marshmellows and probably enjoying a few more beers than we should have, but hey! It's vacation! The entire family loved the fact that we could all sit at the same table for our meals...that was very special..lots of chatter and more laughter. The beach was a very short walk, making quick trips back to the house a snap. Anita and Joe provide everything you may need, beach chairs, umbrella, beach towels, beach toys..it's there, don't worry. We were a short distance to the very popular "Sundae School" ice Creme parlor, which we frequented. Leave your car at the house, it's a very enjoyable walk. So, if you're thinking about renting a home for you Cape Cod vacation,,,,,get off the fence and call Anita and Joe. I guarantee you'll be VERY lad you did!
A nice location not far from the beach. Attractively furnished with good sized bedrooms and reception rooms. The dining room and its table was perfect for Christmas. Only one quibble -the kitchen needed updating and its equipment was more suited to summer vacations than cooking and dining at Xmas. Would nevertheless recommend the property.
Everything was above our expectations! The renters could not have been more kind, courteous and easy to work with. They were flexible with check in and out times, they responded to all of my emails quickly, and even went out of their way to find a french press coffee maker so we would have everything we needed. This was our first time renting and they made us feel very comfortable.
The house was beautifully staged and very clean. The rooms were a lot more spacious than they looked on the photos and most of the rooms had their own bathroom and shower. We had 6 adults and 5 children ranging in age from 2-7. At no time did we feel cramped or tight. The game room down stairs provided hours of entertainment for both the kids and the adults. There was enough space for the kids to spread out and do their own thing when they got on each others nerves (or ours). The yard was also quite spacious and the kids were able to run around and get some energy out, while we enjoyed a fire. We also took advantage of a playground one block away and a few beach trips that was across the street.
The large dinning table also was able to accommodate all of us during our meals and game time. Everyone felt relaxed and comfortable during our stay.
This house was exactly what we were looking for, a true diamond. It is evident that the owners take a lot of pride in this rental and as renters. We are already talking about booking this house for next year and years to come. This is the house that we want to start a yearly tradition with and celebrate with friends and family.
We try to vacation with our grown children, spouses and grand children every few years. This was this first time at the Cape, and the house and location couldn't have been better. There was plenty of room for the eight adults and three kids. It was a very short walk to the beach, resturants, etc. Anita and Joe are lovely people and couldn't have been more accommodating. Will definitely be back.
Our son got married in Dennisport and we wanted to extend the family get together for the week. The 5 bedroom home is beautiful, clean and has every amenity imaginable( washer dryer, lawn games, grill, firepit, view of the ocean, easy walk to the beach, beach chairs, screened porcch). The game room in the basement provided entertainment for kids and adults on rainy days and after dark. It was perfect and Joe and Anita could not have been more accommodating!
We spent the weekend at the house for my sisters bachelorette party and it was amazing. The location of the house is perfect and the ocean views are gorgeous. All of us slept very comfortably with plenty of room . Joe and Anita were such a pleasure to meet and they gave a very helpful booklet with information about the area. Overall great stay and we can't wait to return!
