We stayed here with our two boys and has a wonderful time. The outside pool and dining area are fantastic and inside the Trulli is lovely too and very nicely furnished. Although we like to go out and explore the local area on holiday, some days we simply didn't want to leave the Trulli as it was so lovely and peaceful and we happily whiled away our time swimming and relaxing around the house. The local area is great too though - especially enjoyed visiting the local towns and villages in the evening as the sun was setting. The owners looked after us week - the fresh figs and focaccia on arrival were simply lovely and the owners were very helpful with all our questions and gave good recommendations for things to do in the local area. In short, a simply wonderful place to stay and we were very lucky to find it! Hopefully we will return one day!
Beautiful trulli close to amazing beaches!
Beautiful trulli in the midst of an olive grove. We spent a wonderful week at this trulli. It is very conveniently located to explore Puglia. It is located in the countryside in the midst of a beautiful olive grove. The outdoor space is really well thought out and immaculately maintained. Beautiful pool and great outdoor bench. The trulli is very nicely decorated and very comfortable. Everything is very clean. Excellent help and interactions with the owners. Great value for money. Strongly recommended place to stay in lovely Puglia.
Perfection in Puglia
We have just spent two fabulous weeks in Puglia and with the help of the owner discovered fascinating places to visit and delightful places to eat. We just couldn't see all there was to see in the two weeks we were there. That's when we could force ourselves away from the Trulli which we just loved.
It's a magical place to stay and we just did not want to leave. The Trulli is surrounded by dry stone walls making it very private and secure. There is ample space to find your favourite spot to unwind and relax, whether you prefer lounging in the sun or under the shade of the olive tree. There are fruit trees in the grounds, lemon, pear, apricot, pomegranate and of course olive trees. It's idyllic.
From the terrace above the separate building you can see the glorious olive groves and sea in the distance. My son took his running gear and we were amazed how making joggers and cyclists you see around the country roads. Within 5 minutes drive from the Trulli there is the most amazing bakery and you can easily drive to the beach. The owner is on hand to answer any questions you have and you genuinely feel as though you have a family friend who is there when you need them. When we arrived the owners were there to greet us and show us round our new home and there was a tray of goodies, focaccia, fruit and a bottle of wine. Part way through the holiday the Trulli was cleaned, towels, bedding etc changed and the owner left us a bowl of figs picked from his garden.
Everything you could need is in the Trulli, it is home from home. Puglia is a fantastic area to visit. It is so different to the rest of Italy, so unspoilt, you feel as though you are experiencing the genuine Italy and not somewhere that has been contrived for tourists. It's fabulous in every way!
Trulli perfect holiday amongst ancient olive grove
My family stayed at Trulli Sant'Oronzo and we really loved it... The accommodation is stylishly attractive, we had air conditioning at night, so slept very well in our comfortable beds. The outside eating area was a lovely place to spend time and of course we loved the pool. The Trulli is surrounded by an old stone wall.It is very peaceful and this particularly attractive area has some of Italy's oldest olive trees ... up to a 1000 years old. You can drive down to the nearby coast through these. We visited some wonderful old towns and ate some delicious meals, washed down with great wine. The owner gave us some excellent recommendations and couldn't have been nicer and more helpful. A really great find in a fascinating part of Italy.
We stayed here with our 2 kids, 12 and 15. The trulli was fabulous. Immaculately clean and very spacious. It was very well equipped and the owners had pretty much thought of everything their guests may or may not need. The grounds were very well attended and the pool and eating area was beautifully kept. A car is essential! Wouldn't hesitate to recommend or even return. Wonderful!
Second amazing stay, even better than last!
This was our second holiday at Trulli SantOronzo. This time it was even better than the last. It is a peaceful relaxing place to stay with everything we could need. The location is close enough to the beach and the lovely bakery Panificio LAssunta. My three year old loved the swimming pool and spent many hours playing in there. The garden is very secure and again ideal for playing. The owners are very welcoming and are available for any problems or questions and keen to solve everything quickly. It is not the cheapest place you can rent, but with the well equipped house, beautiful gardens, swimming pool and lovely covered eating area it is good value for money and we will be returning again!
The trulli are located on the beautiful coast between Bari and Brindisi, only minutes away from the Blue Flag sandy beaches and lively night life of Il Capitolo. They are charmingly secluded and quiet, yet close to restaurants and small shops. Other near-by attractions include golf courses (San Domenico - 18 holes, and Coccaro - 9 holes), ruins of Roman city Egnazia, and a safari-style zoo. The other main towns of the area, Monopoli, Ostuni and Alberobello are all within a short drive. Day trip destinations include the baroque gem Lecce, the UNESCO sites of Matera and Castel del Monte (about 1h and half away). Grocery shops, bakeries, supermarkets, and pharmacies are very close in Il Capitolo or Fasano. Close-by towns of Fasano and Monopoli both have hospitals.
Golf: San Domenico and Coccaro Golf courses are less than 15 minutes away from the trulli; while Riva dei Tessali, Acaya and Bari Alto courses are about 1h away.
