About Jodie Graham

I'm from Vancouver & my wife is from Denmark. We live, work and raise our two wonderful children in the Main Street / Mt. Pleasant area of Vancouver.

Jodie Graham purchased this house in 2012

Why Jodie Graham chose British Columbia

After 7 years of searching in the Okanagan, Whistler, Sunshine Coast and Vancouver Island for a second home where we could decompress, rejuvenate and make life-long family memories, we stumbled across Naramata Village. The minute we drove into this little lakeside community, we knew this was the sanctuary we had been searching for. Shortly thereafter, this lovely home appeared... and the rest is history!

What makes this house unique

We fell in love with this particular home- not for any one reason (other than it's in The Village) but for the entire property as a whole. As soon as we walked through the front gate we were greeted by a gorgeous cherry tree that was loaded with ripe cherries (it took us a while to get inside, they were so amazing). At the same time, both our children ran to the play structure and started climbing, swinging and sliding (they had no interest in going inside). Once we made our way through the front door and into the open living/dining/kitchen area, we knew we had found our vacation home. We love that there are three bedrooms on the main level with two bathrooms (one being a master ensuite) and the other having a deep soaker tub. With 2 bedrooms and another bathroom downstairs, we decided to make one room a guest-room to accommodate couples and the other into a bunk-room. The added bonus downstairs is the large rec room where everyone can hang out and watch a movie on Netflix or have a foosball tournament.

Loved the Family Cottage at Naramata!

  • 5 of 5

Four women celebrating a friend's 50th birthday. The cottage was very easy to find and looked exactly like the pictures. We stepped inside and were very very happy with first impressions! The living area was very comfortable and cozy. The kitchen was very impressive and well equipped. We arrived later in the day and we were grateful for the pretty outdoor space to relax with a glass of wine and some appies. We used the BBQ that evening. Each of us had our own bedroom, BONUS!! Bedding was great and the beds very comfortable. Everything was spotless. The cottage is close to the lake so our morning run took us through the beautiful little town of Naramata and along a lakeside road for a great out and back. We had prearranged a tour of the Naramata Bench and had a fabulous time! Top Cat Tours tour guide Christian was the best!! We did have to contact Jodie at one point as we had forgotten what the code for the front door was!! He was very quick to reply to my telephone message so we weren't locked out for long. During our 4 days we ran the Kettle Valley Trail and self toured around Penticton, Oliver and surrounding area wineries. Naramata was very convenient for whatever we wanted to do. I would definitely return to the Family Cottage. Thank you Jodie!

Great for a family getaway

  • 5 of 5

The home was well equipped with essentials and could easily house up to 10 individuals.

I went up to the Okanagan with my and my cousins family (with 3 young children) and the house was extremely child friendly. We arrived with it clean and with everything we needed for a comfortable stay.

I would recommend this home to others and would love to go back in the future.

Beautiful home

  • 5 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our week long stay at the family cottage. The house is very clean and well equipped, especially for families. It is in great location and within walking distance of the Village and Manitou Park (to name a few). We highly recommend this vacation rental and look forward to staying there again one day.

A family gathering in The Family Cottage

  • 4 of 5

The 3 days spent in this quaint cottage in cozy Naramata was very enjoyable. The street was quiet, the town lovely

and surroundings entertaining ( art studios, vinyards, restaurants, orchards,etc.). We'd be happy to return to this updated house with all its ammenities, fab kitchen and dining area, and handy deck nearby.

( The two tiny bathrooms were difficult to navigate, but the renovated main floor bathroom was impressive).

A TV that supplied local news and weather reports etc. would have been appreciated.
