About Jodie Graham

I'm from Vancouver & my wife is from Denmark. We live, work and raise our two wonderful children in the Main Street / Mt. Pleasant area of Vancouver.

Jodie Graham purchased this house in 2012

Why Jodie Graham chose British Columbia

After 7 years of searching in the Okanagan, Whistler, Sunshine Coast and Vancouver Island for a second home where we could decompress, rejuvenate and make life-long family memories, we stumbled across Naramata Village. The minute we drove into this little lakeside community, we knew this was the sanctuary we had been searching for. Shortly thereafter, this lovely home appeared... and the rest is history!

What makes this house unique

We fell in love with this particular home- not for any one reason (other than it's in The Village) but for the entire property as a whole. As soon as we walked through the front gate we were greeted by a gorgeous cherry tree that was loaded with ripe cherries (it took us a while to get inside, they were so amazing). At the same time, both our children ran to the play structure and started climbing, swinging and sliding (they had no interest in going inside). Once we made our way through the front door and into the open living/dining/kitchen area, we knew we had found our vacation home. We love that there are three bedrooms on the main level with two bathrooms (one being a master ensuite) and the other having a deep soaker tub. With 2 bedrooms and another bathroom downstairs, we decided to make one room a guest-room to accommodate couples and the other into a bunk-room. The added bonus downstairs is the large rec room where everyone can hang out and watch a movie on Netflix or have a foosball tournament.

Comfortable, well-appointed home base for exploring the Naramata Bench.

"Girls" Weekend Getaway House. We rented this lovely house in the Naramata Village as a home base for our 50th birthday weekend activities - wine tasting, hiking, hanging out. Eight of of us stayed very comfortably. Here are some reviews:

"The house is inviting from the minute you walk it, this is your home away from home. The kitchen is well stocked with all your baking essentials needed to cook. All bedrooms are comfortable and spacious. I would recommend this house to families with small children to weekend get away with friends."

"It was a lovely home, lots of books to read along with magazines and pamphlets about the area and places to visit. A well stocked kitchen with coffee, tea, spices etc. Very clean, comfortable and cozy. It was great for a large group, lots of room and a large living room to sit and socialize. Although we didn't use the deck and yard it looks like that would be nice to enjoy in the warmer weather."

"I was more than impressed with the rental, so clean, a ton of room considering there were 8 of us sharing. What I truly appreciated was how well stocked they were from the kitchen to games/books/pillows/blankets. The master bedroom/en suite were phenomenal. Extremely comfortable bed, duvet and pillows! I could only imagine during summer weather how enjoyable the yard would have been as well."

""I found this rental to be VERY accommodating and comfortable. I am hoping to come up with my family in the future. I would highly recommend this rental."

Excellent stay at Family Cottage

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at Jodie's family cottage over Easter Weekend. The house is better than advertised. Very comfortable home. Quiet location in what I would think was part of the "Original" Naramata. Close to Therapy and Lang wineries. Two of the best in my opinion.

We did not have small children with us but if you do there is lots to keep them occupied. Very close to the lake.

You will not be disappointed. HIGHLY recommended. Would not hesitate to stay there again.

Great place with a great location

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time on our 5th annual girls wine weekend. Tons of rooms for us all to have our own rooms. The kitchen, dining room and living room were open so we could all spend time together. The place is in a great location. Walk to the beach and close to wineries. Definitely recommend staying here!

Great Home

  • 5 of 5

Spent Thanksgiving weekend touring the wines on the Naramata Bench and the house was a perfect fit for our family of 6 adults. The kitchen was fully equipped.....even though we barely cooked, but everything is there if you decide to cook. Comfortable home, details throughout. I would highly recommend this home for a short or long stay. Thanks again Jodie we had a fabulous time.

Great property, great location.

  • 4 of 5

What a great house to spend a few days in Naramata. The house comes equipped with everything you could think of and is paticularly kid friendly with baby gates, high chair, crib, toys and a great play structure in the side yard. The adults in our group enjoyed sitting and sipping on the side deck while the children did laps in the yard. Nice walk to beach and park. Would certainly stay there again if we are fortunate enough to get back to Naramata.

Loved the Family Cottage at Naramata!

  • 5 of 5

Four women celebrating a friend's 50th birthday. The cottage was very easy to find and looked exactly like the pictures. We stepped inside and were very very happy with first impressions! The living area was very comfortable and cozy. The kitchen was very impressive and well equipped. We arrived later in the day and we were grateful for the pretty outdoor space to relax with a glass of wine and some appies. We used the BBQ that evening. Each of us had our own bedroom, BONUS!! Bedding was great and the beds very comfortable. Everything was spotless. The cottage is close to the lake so our morning run took us through the beautiful little town of Naramata and along a lakeside road for a great out and back. We had prearranged a tour of the Naramata Bench and had a fabulous time! Top Cat Tours tour guide Christian was the best!! We did have to contact Jodie at one point as we had forgotten what the code for the front door was!! He was very quick to reply to my telephone message so we weren't locked out for long. During our 4 days we ran the Kettle Valley Trail and self toured around Penticton, Oliver and surrounding area wineries. Naramata was very convenient for whatever we wanted to do. I would definitely return to the Family Cottage. Thank you Jodie!
