Overview

About the property

Condo, 1 Bedroom, 1 Bath

Charming and fully renovated unit is now available for your enjoyment! Designer/owner has completed 3 month remodel and is certain that it will become your favorite St. Paul rental. Ideal location - on Historic Grand Hill, Grand Ave just steps south, and Summit Ave directly north. Shop and dine on Grand Ave and then stroll those calories away on Summit Ave while you are taken away by the architecture and grandeur of century old mansions. Bikes can be rented one block away if you prefer to two-wheel it.

This one bedroom retreat has everything you need with attention to comfort and style. New bamboo floors, walls, kitchen, bathroom, and furnishings. Additionally, you also get the use of the front porch for those summer moments of relaxation and people watching! I also operate/own VRBO #373111, another one bedroom unit, literally next door - so I am an involved and accessible part of my guest's stay should needs arise. I hope you choose to stay with me for your next St. Paul excursion!

About Stacey Johnson

As a lover of old homes and design I find myself drawn to the process of improving and shining up some aged gems. After renovating and building several homes here and in the Caribbean I have decided to share some of the spaces with travelers via VRBO, and have found it such an enjoyable experience!

Stacey Johnson purchased this condo in 2012

Why Stacey Johnson chose Minnesota

This home was purchased because it it literally next door to where I live and was in need of some loving! Can't think of another property so easy to keep an eye on and manage than this...........in addition I was having to turn people away due to being booked with #373111. People LOVE this area and are telling friends; time for another unit :)

Four day weekend

  • 4 of 5

The second floor unit is well apppointed and clean. You can walk to many restaurants/coffee shops. A variety of shopping opportunities exist in a short walking distance. Parking is always available in front of the unit. We have stayed here several times over the last four years and always look forward to returning.

The neighborhood is gorgeous. The house is clean, and well furnished. The beds are comfortable. The living room/kitchen worked perfectly for our family gathering.

I go to St. Paul often and always stay in this charming well appointed rental. It is in perfectly located area with beautiful homes and tons of shops and restaurants. Your loss if you pass this up.

Loved the location!

  • 4 of 5

Stacy was there to greet us and was friendly and welcoming. The construction next door was not disruptive to us and we appreciated reducing the work, obviously in full swing. The lower apartment guests had a young german shepard dog that was off leash- he charged at us once, barking, and jumped on us another time. Not the fault of Stacy but still, people who don't control their pets are a pain - and we are dog owners!

Nice location, clean and cozy

  • 4 of 5

This was a great rental for a week while I worked in St. Paul. Easy access to downtown, lots of buses, and restaurants/shopping on Grand just a brief walk away.

As we were there for a week, we did some cooking. Unfortunately the oven was not working properly, but Stacey gave us access to another unit's oven to use (and they are looking at replacing the oven in the unit very soon). And although there was no laundry in the unit, we were allowed to use laundry in another part of the home.

Parking was occasionally tight when we got back later in the evening, but we never had to park more than 1/2 a block away. We were there in February as well, so the hill was a little icy, but nothing abnormal for MN.

Overall the space was clean, comfortable, and quiet. Would gladly stay again.

Clean, nicely appointed, great location.

  • 5 of 5

I stayed at apartment during week long class at University of Minnesota, wanted to be in St. Paul for access to restaurants and nice walking area. Place worked out perfectly, very clean, plenty of room, great bathroom and overall had more personality than a hotel room. Stacey was prompt at responding and easy to work with. Kowalski's upscale supermarket right down the road, good pre-made food as meal option, plus plenty of restaurants nearby. Would stay again.
