Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.
Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.
Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!
I read the reviews on this home and think some of the reviewers did not read the previous reviews or were expecting to stay at the Four Seasons or Ritz Carlton. The pros for this unit. Was the pictures adequately describe the unit? Absolutely. The hot water runs out since it is a 40 gallon tank. For the cost of a new low volume shower head, the amount of hot water could be extended. We had two 13 year old girls and parents in the home. The washer dryer did its job but be aware, it hogs hot water too. Once you realize you could shower, soap up and then rinse, the unit had plenty of hot water. But it would be cozy for 10 unless everyone had 5 minute showers. The two bathrooms are very nice but 40 gallon hot water heater just cannot make enough hot water for everyone.
It would be nice for the range fan to work. I would just buy a new fan but it looks like the unit is a bit worn. If you are just going skiing, the place is great. Not much of a view but convenient to many North Lake Tahoe ski areas. The kitchen was very functional and you had to realize that you were at 6200 feet. Boiling water and cooking needed to be adapted. The toaster burned things on the lowest setting.
If you are looking for a good basic home with excellent wifi and tv, comfortable beds and a 70s decor, this is the place for you. If you are looking for an updated home with current equipment, this is not the place for you. The heater is located on the second of three floors. The first having 3 bedrooms with either a queen or king size bed and a loft or 3rd floor with 4 beds. The electric blankets allowed you to keep the heater low. I think they had minimal insulation in the walls as the heater would go off every 15 minutes at night. Also, do not run the dishwasher at night as the house shakes. Run it just before you leave to go skiing. Run it at night, and it will be difficult to sleep even with the best of insulation.
Great value. A little worn. great for kids or a couple of families. Good cooking utensils. I would recommend the place and also come back here again. It is well priced but do not expect a Four Seasons expectation..
On our first morning, the kitchen counter GFI outlet tripped and apparently needed to be replaced. I went to the office and Hector came right over. He confirmed the outlet needed to be replaced. He returned shortly with an extension cord that could accommodate the microwave and assured us the electrician would be there the next day. Three days later and no electrician was ever seen. We had to make coffee and toast in the living room. We had read in reviews from a couple years ago that the water heater was inadequate. It definitely still is. The upstairs bathroom was extremely difficult to operate. The shower handle that you use to select water temperature is very difficult to pull out. We were afraid the whole plumbing was going to pop through the tile. Finally, the furnace is crazy. Clearly other people have complained because there were many tips on how to alleviate the problem. The furnace is loud and overheats some areas but leaves other areas cold. We adapted as best we could to the issues and had a good time but definitely will not return.
Was glad this place was available over President's weekend. It was 20 minutes from Diamond Peak for skiing. The kitchen had all the essentials. There was enough beds and a large dining table to accommodate us. A couple things needed to be repaired: vent over the stove didn't work and the upstairs shower did not work well. All 10 of us had to share the downstairs shower! All in all, this place is cozy and we enjoyed our stay!
Good complex with small sauna close to lake and forest. Condo is furnished well and cozy, however Gas Fireplace switch was not working we were not able to turn it on. Appliances are old. Bedsheets and towels are old and grey.
Had a very pleasant stay here. Well maintained property, except for a few appliances like kitchen exhaust acting up. But, nice place.. will stay again.
This condo had many great features. The kitchen was well stocked and the big table fit lots of people comfortably. The upstairs loft says that it sleeps four, but the two trundle beds can't be pulled out all the way due to space issues, so really there are feasibly three beds up in the loft.
