This charming cabin in the Molalla River Corridor is the perfect retreat for a romantic getaway or a fly fishing trip! The home is tastefully decorated and provides a relaxing atmosphere as it is set in a rural community.
As you enter the front door, you enter a bright and complete kitchen with everything you need to prepare your meals including any fish that you might catch in the river! Please note that you will want to check the regulations before fishing of course as there are license requirements and limitations on size and quantity.
As you walk through the kitchen, you enter the open living room with a cozy gas fireplace. There is also a daybed that acts as a couch during the day and as a sleeping option at night. There is a TV with a DVD player as well so you can keep yourself entertained after a long day exploring the vast wilderness in the region. Head outside for s'mores over the outdoor fire or a summer cookout with a gas grill.
The one bedroom is on the opposite end of the house and features a queen bed and a full bathroom. The bathroom has a shower only so there is no bath tub. Due to the single level floor plan and the shower, it is a great option for those who have mobility limitations although there are a couple of steps leading to the front door and the trail to the river gets a bit steep at the end. There are friendly dogs that belong to the owners and live near this home, so if there is a pet allergy in your group, keep that in mind.
Perhaps the greatest feature of this home is the access to the river! There is a trail that leads you through a small field and down to the Molalla River! It is gorgeous river that changes with the seasons and there is a nice sitting area with a fire pit for you to enjoy the rush of the river going by. Please remember to be careful as the river can have a strong current at certain times of the year so you should always be cautious before swimming or fishing.
The Molalla River Corridor boasts excellent access to beautiful hiking trails, waterfalls, and many other classic Oregon traits! Molalla is also known for its famed "Buckeroo Rodeo" where cowboys and cowgirls can tighten their chaps and test their equestrian skills with varying events beginning in April and ending in September. But that's not all! There are five city parks in Molalla, one devoted to skateboarders. Did you ever want to try sky-diving? Well, you can do that in Molalla too!
This cabin is the perfect home away from home and will be a great place to unwind after a long day of activities! It is also the perfect place for a quiet retreat away for the hustle and bustle of city life so whatever your heart desires, the Sweet Creek Cottage has you covered!
Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.
Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.
Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!
The cabin is quaint and comfortable and the area is beautiful. The owners are right next door and did introduce themselves; they are very nice. It is a quiet place to rest and we slept very well. There was quite a bit of rain when we were there, so you should have alternate plans than hiking and fishing. We had a great time!
My wife and I spent an extended weekend to do some hiking along the Molalla River and had a wonderful time. The cottage is well kept and nicely nestled close to the Molalla River (you can hear the river from the back porch). Highly recommend this little jewel!
The cottage was very clean, surprisingly spacious, and comfortable. The owners greeted us when we arrived, but let us be during our stay. The dogs on the property were very friendly. We had a little trouble finding it, just get your directions down before you go, and try to get there in the daylight. We were trying to find it at night, and got turned around. Overall, a very nice place to get away from it all!
The cabin is a great place to get away from it all. We were pleasantly surprised to find out the cabin does in fact have wifi and Verizon cell service!
