About Fran Sullivan

My family & I have enjoyed this cabin since 2001. We've spent the summers teaching our children and their friends about the lake, boating, and how to ski. Now they're grown and we would like for other families to enjoy our home and Lake Hartwell.

Fran Sullivan purchased this house in 2001

It was totally relaxing and enough room for all of us. The lake is beautiful and very tranquil.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to go back during the summer months. Our family is very close and loved having time to just relax and enjoy being together. The cabin is close enough to beautiful scenery in all directions.

Great Stay!

  • 4 of 5

Everything was great - cabin was exactly as expected and new carpet in bedrooms was nice. Only problem we had was finding the place as we arrived after dark and couldn't see numbers on house. Other than that we enjoyed our stay!

Roomy home

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here at Fran's home for a weekend while attending a wedding in Lavonia. The house had plenty of beds and the kids enjoyed the open spaces. There was some breakable decor, but we easily put it up "out of sight" for our baby. The house is very close to the neighbors and there isn't a lot of yard for active children to play in, but that was ok with us as we were in and out visiting relatives. Tugaloo State Park is only about 10 minutes away and there is lots of place for kids to roam and explore there! We loved the master bedroom with its comfortable king bed. Wish the jacuzzi tub would have worked but the plug didn't stay down. I let Fran know about that. The place was clean and my girls loved the "purple" room. We weren't able to take advantage of the proximity of the lake just because we were busy doing other things, but they do have a nice dock that would be accessible with a boat (when there isn't a drought going on).

We would definitely recommend the place if you are visiting the area.

Cabin on Lake Hartwell Chauvin Ct.

  • 1 of 5

First of all I would liked to say that Fran is very nice. Her property needs TLC. The outside needs a clean up including the yard. The large trash container on the dock was 3/4 full of beer bottles and cans and there was a small water heater that had washed up on shore. I do not think she was aware of the condition of the carpet. It made me sad that someone would obviously leave their pets inside to destroy her carpet. She was honest about the other issues. We really enjoyed the back porch and the grill. A beautiful relaxing weekend with my Sister and Brother in Law. They guys enjoyed fishing even though the water is down this time of year...they caught and released a few blue gill. Although late in the evening a girl walked up to the back of the house up the porch stairs quizzing us about neighbors. It was a little distubing not sure of the intentions as she had obviously come in a "tow truck" type vehicle that was backed into the circle. Fran also was prompt in refunding our deposit. Thanks KM October 2016

Owner's Response: The carpet was replaced this week. Sorry I couldn't get it done before your visit. I was unaware that a water heater had washed up and my guests are responsible for removing their trash, even from the dock but I've called to let my cleaners know to get it. Thanks for letting me know.

Quiet Cove-Cozy Cabin-Peaceful-Gumlog Creek

  • 3 of 5

Overall we enjoyed our stay at this cabin. The cabin is a little older but that adds character. The screen porch is wonderful and a great extension of the home. Coffee in the mornings on the screened porch, listening to the birds before heading down to the dock to fish a little, cocktails at night while listening to nature. With the lake levels down the dock sits in a little over 3 feet of water, but we did catch some fish and Mrs. Fran did tell us this before we rented it. The fog in the morning on the lake with the sun coming up in between the trees makes a lovely sight! The cove was very quiet, each morning you would have a few bass boats come around and fish. We even got to see a hawk dive and catch a fish out in the cove. What a sight that was!! We rented a pontoon boat both days to cruise the lake and other areas of the lake, back in the coves like this home, had the same water situation because the lake is below full pool. Harbor Lights Marina is about 15 minutes away and great to rent a boat from. After a day on the lake we enjoyed fishing at the dock again, the sun sets behind the house so this makes the dock shady and great for fishing in the evening.

The den now has laminate floors, as in the pictures I do believe you see carpet and this was nice. Easy to keep clean as you do track in leaves from all the trees surrounding the cabin. We never used the upstairs loft but it is nice, spacious and has two futons for extra sleeping if needed. The carpet in the bedrooms do have soiled spots on them, just keep your flipflops on. Other than that the only thing I might add would be a few more towels, especially if you did have 12 people staying. Thank you Fran we enjoyed your lake home. Just nice to be able to get away for a weekend and relax. We just might come back!

Nice home!

  • 5 of 5

The home was cute and just right for my family! It was right on the water and had a dock for easy access to our pontoon. What really makes a good trip, though, is the customer service and this owner was so sweet and available if we needed her.
