Tulum family friendly 2 Bedroom & 2 Bath Condo With Pool Views. (Sleeps 4)

Our home away from home. The first luxury condo complex in the 24 hour secured development of Aldea Zama. We are located in the jungle only minutes away to the nearest Tulum beaches, restaurants, bars & shopping in town. The local major Grocery store, Chedraui, is 1.25 miles away.

1 King size bed in the master bedroom & 1 queen size bed in the guest bedroom, along with a queen sized air bed. Both are set with high quality linens, pillow, privacy blinds as well as black out shades for sleeping in, naps and privacy. All 3 major rooms have their own air conditioners and ceiling fans for the hot months. Our unit is conveniently located on the ground level with a wall of window sliders, opening to the view of the pool, which is only 8 feet off of the living room. The long & narrow communal pool is no more than 5 feet deep & also has a kiddie pool for the little ones. The front entry requires a security code & all the other gates require keys for entry. We have security personnel checking in & around the complex from dusk until dawn & 24 hour during the weekends. We have a private Wi-Fi network for our home, along with a communal Wi-Fi network around the pool. There is a small patio set for use on our patio in front of the pool, as well as a private tiled, back patio off of the Master Bedroom that has 2 chairs, a table & a hammock. The 2nd Bedroom closets are stocked with beach towels, sand & pool toys, a child sized life jacket, snorkel vest, pool lounger cushions & collapsible coolers & beach chairs. Both Bedrooms have a TV along with a Blu Ray/DVD player and dozens of movies that you can also access your Netflix account from. Room décor is nearly all hand crafted local artwork and furniture. We have completely supplied our kitchen with Tri-Clad cookware, Wüsthof cutlery & every thing you could possibly need to make the perfect meal using all the fabulous, fresh local fish, meats, fruits & veggies. Bring your favorite coffee beans & use the Braun grinder & coffee maker or buy some at the large local grocery store Chedraui, less than 1 mile away. A quality blender is there for the morning, power chia fruit smoothies, or blended mango margaritas in the afternoon/evening. We supply 2, 20 liter bottles of drinking water. Empties can be exchanged at the local grocery store for 25-28 pesos (sounds crazy but most rentals here do not provide drinking water nor a garrafon) We have a washer & dryer & a drying rack, along with the soaps & softeners needed to help ease the load from your packing list of clothing.

There is an ongoing ‘Welcome to our other home’ binder loaded with information about our home, WiFi passcodes for the community area WiFi access (our living room picks it up just fine) the local sights, cenotes, beach clubs & the most important (for us)…restaurants.

An emergency phone number list with the fire station (½ mile away), hospital address & # (1 mile away) & the police (½ mile away).

Bose iPod/iPhone Soundocks set with Bluetooth connection capability are in both bedrooms & the living room/kitchen area for your music enjoyment.

The liquor cabinet drawers are stocked with sets of maps for Tulum & every other region in the Riviera Maya for the explorers.

It is also stocked with locally made incense, right next to the phone # for the masseuse to schedule your massage (not included) for the extra relaxation boost.

There are flashlights (red light) for watching Turtles nest on the beach or watching the babies hatch at night. 2 normal flashlights for late night walks thru Aldea Zama sidewalks thru the jungle. 2 night-lights throughout the condo, which automatically turn on if the power should ever go out.

iBike Tulum up the street is where we suggest guests rent bikes, they can even deliver them to your door & pick them up before you leave, if you choose not to rent a car.

We spend every spare moment we have here & have everything we think we need for a comfortable, fabulous, relaxing vacation & hope you do as well.

We are a family of 3 living in the Portland, OR area. We own a small, family run pizzeria here in the land of rain & have been vacationing in the Riviera Maya since we fell in love with the region in 2006.

Why Kim chose Tulum

We returned as often as we could while working as hard as we could, dreaming of owning small piece of paradise. Once we felt the laid back feel of Tulum, and the 6 miles of the most beautiful beach we had seen, we knew we wanted to make Tulum a piece of us. And before we knew it, we were able to buy our home away from home in Tulum. Our home isn't a churn & burn rental property, it is our home. We have the highest of quality furnishings & accessories & do our best to make sure it is clean & fresh for every guest.

Our condo is conveniently located in the jungle, half way between the beach and the town.

Absolutely wonderful! Had everything you could possibly need and felt very safe!

Kim's apartment was awesome. She provided everything you could need for a very enjoyable vacation. The apartment is in a perfect location, placed right between the town and the beach. We rented bikes and were able to bike everywhere! The apartment was very clean and felt very safe. Our first morning there the property manager Daniella came to greet us and made sure we had everything, and even drove us to get our bikes! She was super friendly and gave us tons of restaurant recommentions which were all fabulous! The apartment complex always had lots of parking spots and places for us to lock up our bikes, and with the 24/7 security guard we never worried about our stuff. This place was wonderful for our vacation with friends, lots of space, awesome pool and so well decorated! Perfect place for an enjoyable and fun vacation!

Clean, Amazing Condo in the Heart of Tulum

Everything was perfect from Kim, the owner, offering advice prior to the trip to meeting Daniella, the property manager, on check-in day. The condo itself is clean, easy access, bedrooms and bathrooms updated, beds are comfortable, kitchen is well-stocked with cooking supplies. Pool is clean and refreshing, coffee in the mornings on patio furniture by the pool. They have snorkeling gear, beach chairs/bags/coolers/towels/mats/ pool toys. The condo is inside the Aldea Zama development -- which is in between the Tulum "pueblo" or town, and the beach town of Tulum. 5 min car ride to beach or about 20 min ride on bicycle. We rented bikes near by. Daniella was very helpful and answered our questions and provided us with suggestions on where to rent bikes, eat, adventures, etc. I would highly recommend this place! Wonderful stay.

Absolutely Great!

We shared this beautiful condo with another couple for eight days in November, and found it to be a wonderful place to stay while visiting Tulum. The condo is very well equipped, with almost anything a guest could want. Although we didn't utilize the pool (we spent every day at the beach!) it looked well cared for and very clean. We have visited Tulum several times in the past, and have rented a couple houses in town. The Aldea Zama location works very well for both the beach, town and shopping. We returned to several restaurants we have enjoyed, and found a couple new ones we loved. Although the condo does not have any type of cable or satellite television, the Wi-Fi works very well. We did miss the TV since we arrived on election night, but otherwise wouldn't have turned it on anyway. Our only disappointment is that the little sleepy town of Tulum is growing. While it is nothing like Cancun or Playa del Carmen, the streets are becoming more crowded, and the downtown area, which used to be only the main street, now has shops and restaurants down many of the side streets for several blocks. The public beach is still fabulous, though, and was never even close to being crowded. All in all, we would certainly return to Tulum and to this wonderful condo, and would highly recommend it to others.

Great Quiet and Comfortable Condo!

The condo was ideally on the ground floor, spacious, clean and comfortable. The location is definitely away from all the hustle and bustle of the action but too far too walk to the beaches and town on a daily basis. We ended up renting a car which adds a lot to our vacation budget. Overall, if you are looking for a quiet vacation away from the action, this is definitely an ideal place as it is well stocked with everything you need, the staff of the complex were very friendly and attentive if needed. We really enjoyed this place and the gentleman from Alamo was honest and reliable in renting a vehicle for those short trips around the area. Would return again!

Nice condo!

We had a wonderful time staying at Aldea Zama and at this condo. It was on the ground floor and very close to the swimming pool and entrance. It was furnished with nice furniture and many extras are provided. We would have just a couple complaints about our stay... one is that we couldn't find the bikes that were supposed to be included with the condo, and the location is far enough from the beach, that one really would need to drive or have a taxi take you. (I saw some people walking/biking to the beach, but this isn't realistic for a family) We had 2 teens and a little one, and they all loved the pool. We spent more time in the pool then at the beach because it was free, close by, and convenient. We had many adventures while in Mexico, some of which were stressful (lost my credit card, got lost finding stores and restaurants in the area, etc) but always could relax and enjoy an evening of fun with the family back at our condo. Thanks for a great week!

nice condo close to Tulum pueblo and beaches

We enjoyed our recent week-long stay at Aldea Zama. The condo was well-kept and had everything we needed for our stay. Our 7 year old really enjoyed having the very nice pool literally right out the front door. We could sit at the little table outside the living room and watch him in the pool. The owner was helpful providing info before the trip, and had a long list of local restaurant options which was very helpful. We enjoyed climbing up the many public staircases in the complex to the 4th floor for the view. We felt very safe there as there is 24/7 security at the entrance to the complex. I was able to run around the complex and down the bikepath outside the complex down to the beach. The owner also provides 2 bicycles for guest use, which would be great for riding into town (only ~1-2 km away) or down the the ocean (~3-4 km away). Overall, I would recommend this condo for anyone travelling to Tulum who wants to avoid the eco resorts on the beach and be closer to Tulum pueblo, where the food is authentic and less expensive.
