Stay in one of San Francisco's best neighborhoods. Fabulous restaurants, shopping and entertainment on your doorstep. Enjoy the beautiful city views from nearby Dolores park. Travel everywhere on foot and take public transport to further explore the city.
Superb guest accommodation in center of Castro. Walk score 100. Apartment is very clean, recently renovated and all furniture is new. Located just a few blocks from Dolores park and Castro street. Apartment consists of one bedroom, separate living room and full bathroom. Apartment has 42 inch flat screen internet TV, microwave, mini fridge, WiFi and underfloor heating. Guests have use of spacious sunny back garden, barbeque and laundry.
We are both passionate travelers and love visiting new places and meeting new people. Although we love traveling we also love to come back home to San Francisco. We have called San Francisco our home for over a decade and we never tire of the wonderful weather, the friendly people and the amazing culture and politics here. We have lived in our home almost two years, it was built before the earthquake of 1906 and the outside has been restored to reflect it's historic origins. Thankfully the inside has been fully modernized and our guest apartment is as modern and luxurious as most downtown hotels! We love having visitors and hope to help our guests enjoy the many sites and experiences San Francisco has to offer.
Regina purchased this apartment in 2010
Walk to everything full of daytime and nighttime activities. Lots to do for adults and kids.
This was a nice, spacious apartment with easy access to the room without disturbing the family upstairs. Castro Street is a 2 minute walk with plenty of great restaurants and coffee shops. The noise of footsteps is loud in the morning, but if you're planning on touring the city, you'll be up anyways. The owner is very accommodating and flexible depending on your travel plans. Would definitely stay here again!
Nice place but the walls were too thin if you don't mind kids running around upstairs..
I was looking forward to my stay in this great little apartment but it was canceled by the owner at the last minute. I will admit, it was partially my fault: when completing the original request on HomeAwayy, I had a typo in my email address. I immediately noticed the problem and pointed it out to Regina - I received one notification from her at the correct email address and assumed all was fine. I didn't hear from her again until I checked my voicemail after a 5 hour flight to San Francisco. She claims she had sent multiple emails and the final payment was never received. I never received the emails as they must have gone to the wrong address (even though she had the correct one at one point). I tried to do everything I could to pay the remainder of the balance - the homeaway site would not allow me to pay since it was so late in the game. Regina claims she went above and beyond to help me out by waiting until the last minute to call me to cancel my reservation. I thought it would have been nice to get a phone call more than a couple hours before the cancellation. Since she did have my correct phone number and she knew there was an initial mixup on my email address, I think it would have been obvious to her to reach out to me by telephone. Instead, I was left without a place to stay in SFO and lost my initial deposit. The apartment may be great, the hosts do not seem to be.
We really enjoyed our stay in this place. Lots of space, large sunny apartment that opens onto a nice garden. The Castro is just a few steps away and is easy to access, no hills to climb! (Which is a plus in SF). The apartment is close to public transport, restaurants and bars.
The apartment was very clean, spacious, and comfortable. Perfectly located and comfortable to come home to after walking around and enjoying the city all day!
House was in a great location, cute and cozy inside. Regina was available to answer questions and set clear expectations. Overall very happy with our stay.
The apartment is a wonderful base for sightseeing. Located in the heart of the Castro but just a 5 minute walk from the bustling Valencia corridor in the Mission and a 10 minute train ride to all the down town museums and amenities. Coffee shops, bars, restaurants, nightclubs and shops are all just minutes from your front door. Also tennis courts, basketball and a beautiful public park with fabulous city views is located within a ten minute walk. Dolores Park is also home to a wonderful new children's playground and hosts outdoor cinema and other events throughout the Summer. This apartment is located on the ground floor of a private home. There is a young family living above so there will be noise from above at breakfast and dinner time and other than that the place will be very quiet and peaceful.
