Amazing and you won't regret it

  • 5 of 5

We were blown away with how accommodating, relaxing and fully furnished the home was. After a long day of hiking, it was the perfect place to come back and sit in the hot tub while looking at the stars or have a nice meal in the backyard. They have done a wonderful job maintaining the home and I'd definitely go again! Worth every penny.

Spacious, clean, and comfortable.

  • 4 of 5

We enjoyed our stay with you and appreciated how well equiped it was. Everything we could have wanted was there. Regretfully we were only there in time to go to bed each night, so we didn’t get to enopy the lovely yard, or all the wonderful games you have! We very much appreciated the bottle of wine you welcomed us with, and would highly recommend your lovely house.

Thank you,

Suzanne

Quiet and homey. Beautiful drive along river to park entrance.

Very comfortable for us 4 adults, but could have easily accommodated 6. Large kitchen with all necessary appliances was nice. Frying pans should be replaced. Good experience overall.

Good beds.. luxurious..fast responding owners

  • 5 of 5

I recommend to the owners to remove the separate info around the house. Put everything only in the house folder and put up a few signs on where to find the folder. The checkout info was different between the notice on the fridge and the folder. Also some instructions on how to works the locks would be nice. However these are minor issues. The house is beautiful and luxurious. We slept well and enjoyed the hot tub. Any issues were solved quickly by the owners.

Excellent experience

  • 5 of 5

Four of us stayed at the Ponderosa House for two nights while visiting Yosemite National Park. The owner communicated clearly how to get to the home which is a bit tricky. It is so worth the drive back into the home's location. The Ponderosa House was just what we needed after a long day's drive to get there and again after a strenuous day of hiking in YNP. The hot tub was clean and relaxing after the drive and the hiking.

We drove to nearby Mariposa before arriving to buy some snacks and drinks for the stay. The home is very clean and simply decorated. It is quite newly upgraded from appearances. The beds are all firm and comfortable. The check-out instructions are clearly posted and simple to follow. We were very comfortable inside and out of the home during our stay.

The drive from YNP Valley is about an hour even with several construction sites inside and out of the park. The drive from El Portal entrance only about 30 minutes. Mariposa is about 15 minutes away with the Pioneer Market providing all our food and beverage needs. We would definitely stay here again if we return.

Renea was quite helpful in communicating prior to our stay. I was concerned with the closeness of the Detwiler Fire, but we heard from Renea multiple times regarding status of the fire and road closures. The BV Cabernet on the counter was a great touch upon our arrival. Not sure how you knew, but I am a Cabernet fan. Thanks very much for helping to make our California vacation a relaxing, wonderful experience.
