Kamaole Sands is the premiere property in South Kihei, bordering Wailea. Located directly across the street from Kamaole III Beach (recently named one of Maui's BEST beaches), this central location offers swimming, boogie boarding, snorkeling, diving, paddle boarding and whale watching. You can also walk for miles on the beach, and then watch the most amazing sunsets.
•Best Ocean View: Unit 5-408 is situated on the penthouse level of popular building 5 and offers the very best ocean view, pool view, and resort view in the complex. Also, this unit is strategically located within the resort so that you don't see or hear any vehicles.
•Newly Remodeled: In the kitchen you'll find new cabinets, granite counters, light fixtures, italian floor tiles, dishes, cutlery, and linen. All major and small appliances are new, including stainless steel fridge, stove, dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, and blender. Bathrooms have new cabinets, granite counters, fixtures, linens, and italian floor tiles. Living room has new flooring, high-quality artwork, and furniture. Bedrooms have new flooring, linens, and televisions, and master has a brand new king bed. Patio has new comfy lounge furniture. Despite how active you are, you'll spend time resting, eating, and relaxing in the condo and on the patio, so you should feel like you’re on vacation there too.
•Private and Quiet: There are no other patios looking onto your patio, and the concrete construction means you don't hear your neighbours. So you can enjoy reading, eating, sipping refreshments, or taking in the view within a private, serene environment.
•Unit Amenities: This is an exceptional ocean view 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom, fully-furnished 1200 sq.ft. penthouse condo equipped with full kitchen, including stainless steel appliances. The unit has an air conditioning unit in the living/dining room plus ceiling fans throughout. The master bedroom has a vaulted ceiling, king bed, and private ensuite, and the second bedroom has two twin beds that convert to a king upon request. The unit is equipped with beach towels, beach umbrellas, beach chairs, coolers, and some beach toys. The unit also has wireless internet and an iPod/iPhone music dock with speakers. This condo is ideal for two couples or a couple with one or two children.
•Easy Access to Unit: Unlike other resorts where you have to walk long distances to parking, this unit has a dedicated parking stall right next to a newly-updated elevator that opens quietly just a few feet from the condo’s front door, so it’s very easy to load and unload luggage and groceries.
•Walk to Everything: The property is centrally located and walking distance to numerous beaches, shops, restaurants, grocery stores, sports rentals, and the popular village of Wailea. Best of all, you can walk for a mile along the ocean in either direction. No need to ever get in a car.
•Resort Amenities: Enjoy the property’s 15 acres of lush tropical landscaping and waterscapes. This property offers a large pool, two hot tubs (including one adult-only and one for families), kids wading pool, small fitness room, 10 gas barbecues, and well-maintained tennis courts. The main office has several internet-connected computers available 24 x7 for guests free of charge, including plane ticket printing. (There is also wifi in the condo). Championship golf courses of Wailea and Makena, and the elegant 'Shops at Wailea', are only a five minute drive.
•Beaches Within Walking Distance: This resort is directly across the street, and just a 2-minute stroll, from the famous family-friendly Kamaole III Beach. (We've stayed at many beachfront resorts that had much longer walks to the beach than this one!) At sunset, people converge on this very beach to witness the fantastic sunsets. You can also walk to many other sandy beaches, including Kamaole I and II, Charlie Young, Keawakapu, and Wailea’s crescent-shaped beaches.
•24 Hour Property Management: This unit is professionally managed by a Maui property management firm, which provides round-the-clock assistance to guests of this unit. Do not under-estimate the importance of a nearby pro who is there to help you if you have any issues, large or small, day or night. We live in Kitsilano near downtown Vancouver in Canada. Martin, a professional engineer, has a wide range of interests, including guitar, hockey, and windsurfing. Annette works at a large professional services firm and enjoys writing, paddle boarding, and community work (cystic fibrosis and environmental sustainability). We both love traveling, and Maui is one of our favorite places in the world - it's paradise on earth!

We purchased this condo in 2013 after looking at about a hundred places all over Maui. We picked this property because of the ocean views, beautiful tropical landscaping, and location! location! location!
One of our top priorities was to have a condo in a location where we could walk to everything, including a sandy beach, watersports rentals, swimming, paddle boarding, snorkeling, coffee shops, groceries, restaurants, clothing shops, tennis, and a fitness center - just like home in Kitsilano. Best of all, this location allows us to walk for miles along Maui's best beaches.
Not only is the resort in an excellent location, but this particular condo is in the best location WITHIN the resort. The unit is strategically positioned so we have the best views and at the same time don't see or hear any vehicles, which is very important to us. When we are on vacation we want a sanctuary where we can get away from crowds and traffic and this unit allows us to do that.
We love being active and taking advantage of all that Maui has to offer, especially paddle boarding and walking on miles of sandy beaches, which are available right in front of our condo.
But our FAVORITE place to be in Maui is right on our patio looking out at the gorgeous ocean and sunset views. In fact, although our unit is walking distance to some of Maui's best beachfront restaurants, we prefer to have all our meals and cocktails at home on our own patio!
It is unfortunate we have to leave this beautiful place. Your condo was great. After busy days snorkeling, hanging out on the many beaches, or whale watching, we would spend many relaxing hours on the lanai. All of the extra amenities in the condo were appreciated as they made our stay more comfortable. We are leaving with many fond memories and will definitely be back!
This was our first trip to Maui and what a gem we found in this condo. A very comfortable space, great view overlooking the pool and ocean (we saw whales from the patio!), and close enough to the beach to carry the gear for our family of four. We were in the pool every day and used the BBQ area, which was well arranged. One minor point, but oh so important if you have kids, is the proximity of the parking spot to the elevator. Awesome. The only down side was the small size of the patio though we made good use of it every night watching the sun sink into the ocean. We will return again and again.
The condo was very comfortable and beautiful. Our 2 kids were able to stay in the downstairs bedroom with 2 single beds. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook and store food. We also used the outdoor barbeque. We walked to Kamaole beach during our stay. My husband had a turtle bump into him while snorkeling. We also saw turtles sunning on the rocks! Kamaole III is great for snorkeling and swimming. Kamaole II was good for boogie boards. We really appreciated the beach chairs, beach umbrella, towels, sand toys and coolers in the condo. It was so easy to get up and go each day.
Our family loved our stay in this condo! I felt well informed before our stay - the written description, photos and all, and the condo was just what we were looking for. It is well decorated, spacious, and has all the amenities we needed. The ocean view from the lanai was a bonus plus we loved overlooking the pool too.
I also appreciated Annette's email communications too. It definitely helped me plan since this was our first visit to Kihei. I LOVED Kihei and the location of the condo - close to shops and restaurants, great beach, beautiful pool. The super convenient parking spot was a bonus too.
I just wish we were still there! We have so many wonderful memories from our stay. Thank you so much!!
This property had everything a family of 4 needed. The unit was tastefully decorated, very modern and clean. The view of the grounds and ocean were fantastic, I would definitely come back and would recommend it to anyone!
We enjoyed this condo so much in October 2013 that we had to return with the kids. The condo is in a perfect location overlooking the beautiful pool, manicured grounds, with the ocean in the distance. The condo is very comfortable and well equipped. The Resort Staff including the concierges are very friendly and helpful. Prior to arriving in Maui we booked some activities through Valley Isle Concierge; Corbett Spence looked after everything we needed. We have recommended this condo to our friends and family so they too can enjoy a perfect holiday. Wishing we were still there!
This was our second time in Maui and we found the perfect accommodation to stay!!
The unit was very well kept and clean when we arrived, we loved he layout and the view from the lanai. The location of the resort also just excellent, if you want to hang out on the public beach or stay by the pool just a short walk away. When you want to go on excursion on the island, through the back gate the access to the highway a minute away.
The condo is in the part of the complex where you have a beautiful view of the resort and the sunset over the ocean! We loved it to watch it while we ate our dinners on the lanai!
We definitely will come back, this is the best spot to stay on Maui, with all the convenience of a home and the romantic feeling of a getaway, Loved it !!!
