About The Owner

My children and I were Blessed to acquire this beautiful home located in walking distance from Bear Mountain Ski Resort. The cabin is located in the heart of Big Bear Lake where all the Action is! However, this charming gem of a cabin is located in a very serene and peaceful neighborhood. Originally from Chicago, we settled in the San Diego area. Having 3 teenagers ( and their 22 friends...) at the time, I found myself visiting Big Bear frequently. So, in 2009 we purchased our first home here in Big Bear. Since then, my three children have moved on to college.

We think you will find this cozy and comfortable cabin a peaceful and relaxing place. Property has very fast unlimited internet and TV.

The Owner purchased this cabin in 2013

Why The Owner chose Big Bear Lake

We chose to purchase 'Blessings on Willow' because it is ACROSS THE STREET FROM THE NATIONAL FOREST HIKING TRAILS and very close to Bear Mountain Ski Resort. The Golf Course is 1/2 a block away. The ZOO is down the street!!

From the first time I walked into this Log home it permeated a peaceful and tranquil environment. This cabin is quaint and cozy and provides all you need for a great time in Bear. Hope you consider renting from us.

Call or text me if you have any questions. Debbie 760-696-5900.

To book the cabin just press the 'Book it' button and follow the directions. Hope to see you soon! Thanks and God Bless!

Cozy and Equipped

  • 4 of 5

My husband and I stayed at this well-equipped cabin for a short time frame during the summer and really enjoyed the experience. We look forward to coming back again.

Food Situation:

Don’t worry about loading your car with food on ice or in coolers because there are 2 major grocery stores (Vons/Stater Bros) within a few miles of the cabin and the freezer makes ice. New charcoal bbq outside and the sink and counters have lots of space for use. Unfortunately, the type of pots/pans stocked were not very versatile and when we plan to go back again, I'll make sure to bring my non-stick and my enameled dutch oven to cover most cooking tasks. The kitchen was stocked with dishes, tools, and seasonings for those that may have forgotten a thing or two and we did use some of the spices to help marinate our meat for the grill.

Comfort Situation:

We stayed in this cabin on one of the hottest days of the year. No A/C is probably not a problem for most of the year because it is in the mountains but the 2nd floor can trap a lot of heat during the day, so an afternoon nap upstairs is uncomfortable this time of year. It's a small cabin and is laid out perfectly to provide a comfortable stay. Couches are like big, gray marshmallows that you can sprawl out on to relax or nap in with a flat screen tv directly before you. We watched Netflix when we weren't at the lake or hiking. Owners did a good job with the small area, never felt crowded, but always just cozy... how a cabin should feel. This cabin sits on a quiet residential street with other cabins of different shapes/sizes and the block looked 1/2 vacant. The owner was kind and informative and met us at the cabin at the appointment time. There is a digital-keying entrance installed on the front door so that you don't have to carry around a key. The cabin was clean and organized when we arrived and left.

Entertainment Situation:

The cabin is stocked with some board/card games in the kitchen and some DVDs in the living room and Netflix is available on the tv. Outside there is a hot tub, which we did not use because of the day’s heat. Oh yeah, and there is that big lake. Lots of things to do or watch.

Quaint cabin with a perfect locaiton

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time staying in this cabin. It is what you'd picture as a winter home with a big couch, cozy blankets, and cottage decorations. We loved the big bed upstairs and the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to cook. It was also close to everything...the village, the mountain, grocery store. It was the perfect weekend get away!

Cozy cabin getaway

  • 5 of 5

This cabin is perfect for a mountain getaway! The cabin is in a quiet neighborhood in a great location, close to everything! Debbie was great and very easy to communicate with. She really made us feel at home. When entering the cabin you immediately feel the comfort. It is great for a group of 2 or even 4. The kitchen and living room are nice and open with plenty of space. The kitchen had everything we needed and the Keurig machine was a plus. Netflix was also a plus, we watched a lot of great movies. The upstairs area was also nice and cozy. The whole cabin was wonderful. We really enjoyed our stay and I highly recommend it for anyone looking to stay in a nice cozy mountain cabin. Thanks again Debbie!

Wonderfully cozy cabin!

  • 5 of 5

I booked this place based on all the positive reviews and the encouraging photos, and this place did not disappointment! Debbie was great in communicating all the necessary information for our stay, making it very easy to drive up there and walk right in. When we entered the cabin, it was even better than we had hoped for, and instantly felt the coziness of the cabin. It is perfect for a group of 2, plenty of space, and a very comfy couch and bed. Netflix was a plus, as was having a nice kitchen with everything you'd need. No need to be worried about chilliness, the heater keeps you nice and toasty, and there is a nice electric fireplace to fall asleep to upstairs. We will definitely be staying here again the next time we go up to Big Bear, this place is a gem!
