Inn of the Sea Vacations is sutuated on 3.5 acres of waterfront property with an oceanfront heated pool and hot tub, beachfront fire pit, tennis court, play area for children and moorage for boats large and small.
Time spent at Inn of the Sea is magic. Lazy mornings spent sipping coffee on your deck enjoying the sunrise, watching the ocean come to life with fisherman and pleasure craft. Otters frolic, Great Blue Herons fish and bald eagles soar overhead. Spend your mornings beachcombing the sandstone tidal pools and white shell beaches on the expansive beachfront. Spend your afternoons kayaking in the sheltered waters, crabbing off the end of the dock or lazing in and around the pool and hot tub. The more adventurous of you can explore the may artists galleries and fine restaurants in the area. Those of you who prefer to dine in can purchase late summer produce from the many farmers in the area and fresh local fish from the docks. There are also a great many golf courses in the area.
Why not plan a get a way for you and some special people in your life?
This will be a unique vacations experience you will never forget. It is Vancouver Island at its best.
Third time at condo and love it more every time. Location is awesome with breath taking view. Condo is spacious and well equipped with whatever you need. Grounds are lovely and the pool and hot tub excellent. There is a dock if you have a boat and walking the beach is just steps away. Two parks close by. If you need a getaway this is the place but also love that its a convenient drive to shopping whether in Cedar, Ladysmith or Naniamo.
We were in unit 127 which I understand had just recently been renovated. It was beautifully done and had everything we needed for cooking, cleaning etc. It was perfect for the three of us (couple + teen daughter). Didn't find the bed the most comfy - actually thought it was a double when it was a queen, but other than that everything was great. The sofa bed was excellent. I loved the tranquility of the location. Even though it's an inner unit, there's a nice view of the ocean from the patio. The grounds are gorgeous. Lots to do onsite - or just do nothing. The sunsets from the dock were beautiful. Even tried out the tennis courts for some laughs. The laundry was convenient (make sure you have loonies) and spotlessly clean. Everything in this complex was beautifully maintained. Easy access to Ladysmith, Nanaimo and the airport - although you can't hear the planes at all. Perfect base for a week of relaxation and exploring the island. Only one night when we got back later did we have a problem finding a parking space, but were quickly directed to park on the grass. (It was the long weekend when we were there so I think it was capacity.) Highly recommend it!
We found the accommodations to be very accurate and adequate. Property was well maintained and remote enough to give the outdoor feel and experience. :The staff was very helpful and always around it seemed. Very clean we found. And as she described with views. We found it very convenient, and to get into town if needed. Convenient store down the street outside main entrance.
Access to in town restaurants if needed, are great down by the water in Nanaimo!! Definitely recommended.
Overall, we would recommend and will go again in all likelihood .
Also water activities and pool extremely convenient and great for all ages.
We also did some wine touring in the area , which is newer to the wine industry by date, but a definite worthwhile trip for the 3 we visited.
My husband and I had the pleasure of staying in two of Pat's accommodations this past September and I haven't stopped raving about how great everything was.
We spent a quiet week at Inn of the Sea enjoying the peace and relaxation of the ocean. Every morning I woke up to the sounds of the waves, could life get any better!
Inn of the Sea is a short distance to Nanaimo... a cute little town with some great attractions.
After a week of nothing but relaxation we were ready for an adventure. We packed our stuff up and moved to one of Pat's gorgeous accommodations in Victoria, she gave us a deal because we booked the two locations.
I didn't think our trip could get any better but it did... The house was breathtaking! It sits high up on a hill surrounded by trees for privacy and has a hot tub tucked away, we used this everyday. There's also a huge private patio that I spent a ton of time reading and drinking wine... the furnishings, and home itself, are very eclectic with amazing art and just an all around great vibe.
Victoria is a great city with so much to offer, we had some of the best meals ever in the city and enjoyed so many fantastic galleries showing local artists work.
There was so much to do that I felt we could have stayed longer. We will definitely come back again... to both locations.
Thank you so much Pat, you made our vacation that much more special.
I enjoyed an excellent month stay at Inn of the Sea, south of Nanaimo. From my 2nd floor roomy one room condo, the magnificant view of Stuart Passage and the Gulf Isalnds, greeted me ever morning. Every evening was spent on the balcony having dinner and taking in the endless view. The Inn has very good amentiies , pool, hot tub, tennis court, laundry cabin , shaded parking and also another balcony on the front of the unit . The bed was super and a nice little kitchen made things comfortable. The pier and mooring facilities made it easy to dock my sailboat and get up any morning and go seek and explore another Gulf Island or go fishing or what every you want. The condo complex is nicely secluded on Yellow Point and is very private but friendly. I would highly recommend Inn of the Sea on Vancouver Island and the lovely Cedar , Yellowpoint and Ladysmith areas, for a superb vacation! Oh yes, being pet friendly the made things, just right.
I recently had my sister visiting from Europe and we stayed at Pat's unit. What an absolutely wonderful place to spend a week. The incredible view, the quietude, the pool and hot tub, the tennis court, the sealife and everchanging sky are the best medicine for a get-away.
The unit had everything we wanted and more. The panoramic view offered otters, seals, eagles and boats and I can hardly wait to go back this fall. I can highly recommend staying here, the owner Pat, gave us all the information needed to find the best restaurants, sights, parks and daytrips. We had tea on the deck watching the ocean and felt like we were in heaven.
