Overview

Maggie Valley Chateau / Country House Rental Photos and Description

Large 4 Bedroom/3 Bath Home Perfect For Large Family Vacations (Sleeps 10)

Buck Horn Lodge is located at 3800' above Maggie Valley with spectacular views of downtown Maggie Valley as well as near and distant mountains. We are located near the end of the road with no other homes in view where the cool breezes blow.

The home is furnished with everything you need for a relaxed vacation.

In the kitchen there's a range, refrigerator w/ice maker, microwave, blender, toaster, coffee pot w/filters, toaster oven, lots of pots and pans, dishes and silverware.

The large dining room table seats 8 and there's a table on the deck for outside meals. Also on the deck are 6 rocking chairs for reading, morning coffee, or afternoon relaxing. The night time view of the valley with the lights is spectacular.

The living room features a large fireplace (firewood is furnished), 2 leather recliners, 2 love seat recliners, two glider rockers, and a new HD TV w/bluray player. WIFI is provided.

This home is NOT motorcycle friendly due to the curves and some gravel. We bought the house below with motorcycles in mind. Please take a look at that listing.

***We have a new 3 bedroom/ 2 bath home also in Maggie Valley...

A new 14' x 22' Master Bedroom was just added with it's own private deck. You can enjoy your morning coffee in the King size bed and watch the birds, squirrels, and chipmunks play on the deck. There are hummingbird feeders with lots of hummingbirds flying back and forth feeding. In the evening you can retreat to the bedroom and enjoy the electric fireplace, watch the 47' HD TV, or enjoy the view of downtown Maggie Valley at night. The Master Bath features a large shower and spacious vanity. There's plenty of space for your clothes in the walk-in closet. There is an A/C for times when the cooling breezes are not cool enough (which doesn't happen very often).

Upstairs there are two large bedooms each with a Kingsize bed. Each room has a TV w/DVD/VCR player. These two bedrooms share a bath that is located between the bedrooms. Each bedroom has it's own A/C unit for the rare night when they are needed.

Downstairs there is a small bedroom with a queen size bed. This bedroom has it's own private bath with a tub/shower. Just outside the bedroom is a sitting room with a TV. This TV is not connected to the Satellite system and is designed as a children's area for playing games or watching VCR/DVD's. We provide some family suitable DVD's but suggest you bring your favorites.

Located in the garage is a gas grill and a charcoal grill(bring your own charcoal)for cooking out (no the jeep and 4 wheeler are not included with the house).

If you are looking for some exercize take a walk to the top of the mountain. It's about 1 1/2 miles and in the summer you can pick blackberries to eat or make a blackberry cobbler. When you get to the top the views are spectacular. Be sure and take some water.

Maggie Valley has lots of shops and restaurants. There's a park on Jonathan Creek where the kids can play in the cold creek.

Also nearby is Waynesville with more shopping and dining, Cataloochee Valley where you can view the elk in the evening and tour old homesteads, the Blue Ridge Parkway with its views, Harrah's Casino in Cherokee, Biltmore Estate in nearby Ashville, Great Smokey Mountains National Park, and lots of hiking trails and waterfalls.

Beautiful and Relaxing

  • 5 of 5

Absolutely Beautiful home and view. Very clean as well. Robert was very quick to respond to my emails and the neighbor down the mountain was a sweetheart. So relaxing and comfortable we didn't leave much stayed on the porch most of the time. Will definetly rent again.

Love this place!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here in July with 4 adults and 2 young children (4 & 2) and had a wonderful time! It's so peaceful & relaxing up on the mountain and the cabin is very well equipped with everything you need. Like others mentioned the road up can be challenging so just take it slow and shift to a lower gear. Definitely well worth it for the views though! We spent the majority of our time sitting in the rocking chairs on the deck enjoying the views and chatting away! We also enjoyed walking around Waynesville & Asheville, visiting the Biltmore & hiking. The weather was perfect! :)

Our overall experience was a GREAT ONE!

  • 5 of 5

Our stay at the Buckhorn Lodge was great. It was very convenient to anything we needed and for everything we wanted to do. My wife and I wanted to get away with all of our children and relax on vacation and we were able to do just that. We were away from any crowds and stuff like that but we were also close enough to everything if we wanted to go and do stuff. I guess you would say we were far enough away that we felt secluded from the world but close enough to be apart of we wanted to be. Our stay was great and I would stay at the Buckhorn Lodge again.

Awesome. Great house with beautiful view of Maggie Valley and the mountains.

  • 4 of 5

The cabin was awesome. 4 bedrooms were great for our visit. The Back porch had 7 rocking chairs overlooking Maggie Valley, In the morning we drank coffee on the porch and watched the sun shine on the mountain tops. At night we watched as the sun went down behind the mountains. Wished there was a hot tub, but the atmosphere was perfect without one. The road up was a little challenging, glad we did not ride the motorcycles. We would definitely book this place again. It would be great if there was a photo album showing the views through the 4 seasons, especially fall with the leaves and winter with the snow.

Home away from HOME

  • 5 of 5

Four couples shared this home for four days. The atmosphere of the home is warm and welcoming. We all had the feeling that we were staying with relatives, instead of renting from strangers. Everything we needed was available to us during our stay. The bedrooms were comfortable and cozy. The master bedroom was spacious and had a beautiful view. Everything was clean and well kept. If you are looking for a home away from home getaway with friends or family this is the place for you. This home is so conveniently located with direct access to a variety of locations including; Maggie Valley, Waynesville, Asheville and Cherokee. While visiting Maggie Valley try out the Farmer's Restaurant and the Legends Sports Bar. Our group had such a great time that we plan to return as soon as possible. Burn Horn Lodge - We'll be back!

We had a wonderful time! The cabin is GORGEOUS, very clean and comfortable. Heaters are a trip to figure out but once you do..they work great. The views are spectacular! Having a fire every night was icing on the cake! Would definitely return! !
