This townhouse offers two master suites and three bathrooms. The decor is a mix of modern loft style and international decor. Newly polished concrete floors downstairs and carpet up. Located at the northern edge of Palm Springs, the property affords easy freeway access to Joshua Tree and the nearby outlet malls. It is just a quick trip up to the aerial tram too! From the enclosed backyard, catch glimpses of San Jacinto mountain, and from the upper level, take a peekaboo look at the windmills.
I grew up in North Carolina and have lived all over the place (Costa Rica, New Jersey, Marin County, Spain). I finally settled in Los Angeles, where I currently live with my 10-year-old son and our two crazy dogs. In my pre-mom days, I studied English literature and Spanish translation, and put my skills to use as a print production editor.

The first time I came to Palm Springs was by accident. My boyfriend and I had rented a marvelous house in Joshua Tree. However, in the middle of the night, when one of us literally stepped over a snake on the way to the bathroom, we decided ... well, you can probably fill in the blanks. The property owners were generous enough to offer us a place to stay in Palm Springs, and I am glad they did!
Because I grew up in the South, I love the heat! So, that is one of my favorite things about Palm Springs. I love the landscape and the architecture here (although I have not even attempted to decorate my townhouse in the modernist style). When people who have never been to Palm Springs ask me to describe it, I tell them it's like Santa Barbara but hot.
I think that the contemporary design of the Palermo community fits in well in the Palm Springs landscape. I knew the second I walked in it was the place I wanted. The high ceilings, concrete floors, granite counter tops. The massive upstairs sun deck. The views of the windmills. And that was even before I met the other residents here. Their friendliness and sense of community are a definite bonus.
