Two beautiful log cabins joined together by a tree covered wooden deck and stairway. This is old southern living at its best, tucked away in its private mountain setting. Located in Wears Valley, the quiet side of the Smokies, it has great views and flat parking for 8 cars. There are large dining tables in each cabin, flat screened TVs in the living rooms with floor to ceiling stone fireplaces. The bedrooms are spacious, and master baths are luxurious. Each cabin has a full basement game room with multiple games like pool table, ping pong table, Foosball table and a card table. One cabin has four bedrooms and one has two, with extra sleeping space in both.Just minutes away from beautiful Pigeon Forge Townsend or Gatlinburg.
To start, the view is absolutely beautiful! Watching the sunset was amazing! The cabin is well stocked with anything you could think you might need to cook/clean while on vacation.
There were a few things about the cabin that my family (15 people) didn't like about the cabins.
1) Most of the beds were extremely uncomfortable. Like painfully uncomfy.
2) There were a few things broken when we got there that should have definitely been replaced before having a family stay there. One of the boards that enclose the balcony. Very dangerous, especially with a 13 month old.
3) Pool tables, ping pong paddles, and foosball table were all in TERRIBLE condition. Like, we were unable to play a game of pool correctly bc of the problems.
4) There were no showers on common level and my grandma is not able to walk the stairs. We had a hard time helping her up and down stairs to be able to take a shower. SO definitely not recommended for elderly or disabled.
I believe the worst thing was that we were told VIA phone and email that check out was at 11AM. We were more than prepared to be out by 11AM but the owner of the cabin shows up at 10AM and tells us that we were told wrong. They were not too pushy but it made us very uncomfortable with them being in and out of the house while we were still gathering our belongings. The owner wasn't very rude but it was still VERY unprofessional and made the rest of the morning not so great.
wonderful cabins, very clean and had everything you needed to feel like you were home. the porches were our favorite place to be. we saw eagles almost every day we were there. it felt like we were the only people on that mountain, so secluded, yet close to every thing you wanted to do. I could not find one thing to complain about. this was our favorite vacation ever. would love to come back again and again.
THE BEST DEAL I EVER GOT FOR A FAMILY VACATION FOR 12. THE CABINS WERE PERFECT IN EVERY WAY. WELL STOCKED FOR EVERY THING WE NEEDED AND MORE. THE VIEWS FROM THE DECKS WAS AMAZING. BOTH CABINS WERE VERY CLEAN AND KITCHENS WERE STOCKED WITH EVERY THING IMAGINABLE.. I WOULD COME BACK AGAIN AND AGAIN IF I COULD. WE HAD A BLAST JUST SITTING ON THE WRAP AROUND PORCH. THE CHILDREN LOVED IT AS MUCH AS THE ADULTS
Beautiful place inside and out. Very well maintained. My family and I didn't want to leave. We hope to be spending more time there in the future.
These cabins were just what we imagined. Family fun, room for everyone and beautiful mountain views. With endless activities in the area or just hanging out at the cabins you will never run out of things to do. The only reason I didn't give a 5 star rating is the one stove. We didn't care we just cooked all our food at the other one. We loved it and hope to return.
The location was wonderful! It was great for our group of 20 which included 12 kids ranging in age from 4 - 19. The reasons we gave it 4 stars were because you could tell that some things were worn down, some light bulbs & switches that didn't seem to work (none that caused a problem with staying there & therefore we didn't call maintenance to take care of them), one television kept coming on in the middle of the night with no apparent cause, and no shower on the main floors for older grandparents. For the price and location, it was a great stay!
