We also have another funky property here in VRBO #472474, is the Beach House by the Inlet, check it out.
Long ago Love Street was named Loveless Street. As the story goes a woman who lived there was uncomfortable about the street name. She LOVED living there and had a family life that was FULL of LOVE. After a number of years of filling out her address on Loveless Street she had had enough and wanted the name shortened to LOVE STREET which more accurately described her neighborhood and the life style that she shared with her family and neighbors. She was successful for getting the name changed and we are thankful for her efforts. That is the story that I heard from one of our sources at the Town of Jupiter.
At end of Love Street you will find the Love Street Dock. This is the home of the Jupiter Commercial Fishing Fleet. This family of fishermen LOVE it here. They can bring in as many as 10,000 lbs. of fresh fish a day as they did very recently. You can see the fishermen return from the sea from the deck of the Love Shack, which overlooks the Jupiter Lighthouse.
Next to the Fish House you will see the Jupiter Outdoor Center, which provides kayak and stand up paddle board rental. This is a great place to be and offers the best view of the inlet and the lighthouse. If all this is not enough you will find several of our best waterfront bars and restaurants within walking distance and our beaches within biking distance of your front door of the LOVE SHACK!

I'm a Jupiter native born and raised and I am also a realtor in the area for 20 years. I promise you there is no better vacation rental in the area available to rent than this one. This is truly a magical property. I would recommend bringing a few beach and bath towels for your stay. We only found two bath towels and one beach towel on the property. Jennifer was great to work with. We can't wait to rent it again.
The property has a sprawling lawn down to the Jupiter Inlet, with great views of passing boats and the historic Jupiter lighthouse.
That being said, the problem was that we spent days waiting for a response from the Leasing agent when we had questions. Just two hours before our check-in we still did not have any instructions, access code, etc. When we got in and put food in the fridge, etc., the A/C thermostat was set at 73 degrees, but it never got below 85 degrees inside the house for the next five hours (when the sun went down).
Then when we pulled out our food and beverage for dinner, the refrigerator was HOT. Our shrimp and ceviche were ruined ... we did not dare serve them, that someone might get ill. Bags of Ice in the freezer were melting, etc. When I left a message for Jennifer Todd, the rental agent, that we had no air conditioning or refrigeration, she gave me no response, and never responded with a follow-up after the rental as well. We have used VRBO.com for years with only wonderful rentals. This was a great disappointment. We threw away $200+ in food.
There is no better place to be in Jupiter but here. Walk to dining, shopping, kayaking, sup boarding, waterfront and minutes by car to a gorgeous un-crowded beach! This is our 2nd time at the shack and we love it here. The house is so cute and comfortable and has all that we need for meal prep and relaxation. The bed is super comfortable and the house in nicely decorated and filled with sunlight. The nightlife is walking distance away and fun. We wish there was a TV in the bedroom to watch at night, but that is our only complaint. We would love to stay again next year. This place will not disappoint.

I stayed at the Shack with my parents for a week of R&R. We loved sitting out on the deck watching the boats come and go out of the inlet and seeing the Jupiter lighthouse just across the way. The property is really in the heart of a bustling area, but at least when the band is not playing at the Square grouper it seems like you are in your own little oasis. There is lots of foot traffic in the area, but that said you can also walk to a lot of great restaurants and bars nearby while everyone else fights for weekend parking. Dubois park is right around the corner where we found the inlet waters and man made beach to be nice and calm with sufficient shade under the palms. And Carlin park is not much further, both offering great walking trails and beach access to ocean south of the inlet. All in all the Love Shack is in a great spot for night life, beach life, and all around great Florida fun.
It was nicer than the photos. Very clean and obviously well maintained (while still being a old florida beach shack) The check in was easy, tons of games, movies, books and cool art inside and out. The outdoor shower was awesome, had all my showers in there. There was a problem during our stay with some loud guests next door and our contact was very quick with handling the situation, even calling us to check up on the situation. The restaurants and bars surrounding the property made for a very fun bunch of meals. We couldnt have been happier with our experience.
Pictures tell the story. This place is not a shack at all, very nice inside. Note the laundry is outside in the carport. Perhaps the tub/shower should be the next item to upgrade. Very convenient location, walking distance to many options for a drink or meal. Overall stay was great.
Inside of the property we have a Paddle Boat, Kayaking & bike rental company.
