The 1 bedroom apartment with sleeper sofa was perfect for our stay in DC. The apartment is located in a quiet neighborhood and best of all has it's own off street parking place. Until you try and park in DC you will never know what a great extra that is. Karen has furnished the apartment beautifully and comfortably. You don't need to bring anything but your clothes. It is also a very secure building. We walked down to the Eastern Market area at night and felt perfectly safe. This was a great value priced apartment and we would definitely choose it again.
Very happy with our week here. The only down side was poor couch in living room. No support when we sat on it. All else exceeds our expectations. Thanks you and hope to see u next year when we're in town.
The property was centrally located close to the Capitol. The apartment had all of the amenities we needed. It was wonderful. Weather was perfect. We just needed one more week to see everything!!! Thank you!!!
The apartment is exactly as described. All main attractions in DC are within walking distance which is nice. The neighborhood felt quite safe, we walked at day & night time without issue. There is a bus stop immediately outside the apt, which can be a little noisy, but convenient. Yes, bikes are there, which a lot of people in this town utilize, so it's nice to have. We used Uber when the weather was bad & it was very cheap. The only down side was my adult daughter found the fold out sofabed to be quite uncomfortable & she's not very picky. That's the only reason for the "4" rating.
This was a very nice property. Located not far from Capitol Hill and Union Station.
Great Market and restaurants withing walking distance.
Everything was very clean and well kept. There were bicycles for our use.
Just the right size for our purposes while we were there.
The description in the listing was just as stated.
Karen was very accomodating to us and wanted to make sure our stay was a good one. She helped us with all our questions and concerns to make our stay a great one.
I would recommend this place to all.
Five stars for the well-tended condition of this flat as well as its proximity to Capitol Hill, the Metro and the amenities of Eastern Market. Five stars as well for the sturdy bicycles the owner provides at no extra charge. I used one throughout my stay, sparing myself the frustration of being at the mercy of DC's unreliable Bikeshare scheme and the ever-less dependable Metro. Finally, five stars for Karen whose ingratiating and informative welcome letter made me feel at home in advance of my arrival.
It is an easy walk to the US Capitol, Senate Office buildings, Supreme Court, Library of Congress and Folgers Shakespeare Library. Close by are all the Smithsonian Museums on the Mall including the National Gallery of Art, Air and Space Museum, Museum of Natural History, National Archives, American Indian Museum and more.
A couple of metro stops away at Gallery Place are movies, the Shakespeare Theater Company performing at Sidney Harmon Hall and the Lansburgh Theatre, Verizon Center with basketball and hockey. H Street, Georgetown, 14th Street Corridor and Adams Morgan are all within easy access.
