This was absolutely perfect for our family of 6! Amazing views of the ocean and amazing sunsets from the balcony. Great location and parking. We did a 2 day drive on the road to Hana and I highly recommend it! The waterfalls and views are like no other! Oh and you have to download the app for the road to Hana! it's from a local and he tells you where to stop and gives you history with music all along the way! Well worth the $5.00 for the app and your own private tour guide along the way! We also went to a luau! It was on top of the Marriott hotel with the sunset in the background! The food was amazing and the show was great but what made it heart felt for us was the voice of the moderator! You could feel her sincere love for her home in her voice as she told the stories and shared from her heart!
We also rented mopeds and I must say I didn't know if this was a good idea or not but it turned out being Great Fun! I highly recommend this at least for 1 day. It'd affordable for only $35 for 24 hours. We rode them along the Makena Rd and stopped at the beaches over there for amazing views! We also snorkeled a few days. Beautiful coral reefs at Makena Landing, Turtle Bay, Makena Bay, La Parouise and Big Beach. All of these are along the Makena Rd area. The boats that take people out to snorkel stop here! We swam with the turtles! Amazing! Enjoy!!!
I have never stayed in a condo or a rental house that was so well equipped. Especially in the kitchen. The owners thought of everything there was even an electric wok. Everyone who came over with me said the same thing it was just heaven on earth. Being on the fifth floor the view was absolutely amazing and of course sunset every night on our Lanai , each night was better than the last one. Our host, Susan., was the greatest she met us on our arrival explain everything and when one of the bathtub drains backed up a little bit she was there pronto with Drano. She also gave us all kinds of suggestions for the best places to eat and she could not have been more hospitable. The true spirit of aloha.
We stayed in this unit for two and half weeks and did not want to leave this spacious, peaceful, beautifully bright condo. The unit is quiet, comfortable, and perfectly situated facing the sunset. We sat on that balcony every day at some point, sometimes in the middle of the night just for stargazing. Bedrooms are spacious with plenty of closet and drawer space; and the beds were comfy. Bathrooms are roomy with lots of drawer and medicine cabinet space for toiletries. We appreciated the well-stocked kitchen, the washer & dryer, cooler, beach chairs, and towels. Alii Resorts very kindly cleaned the unit halfway through our stay and even restocked the bath and beach towels. The only thing lacking was a teakettle. When I mentioned it on our first morning, Alii Resorts promptly supplied a brand new kettle for the unit. The property itself is impeccably clean and well-kept. We used the poolside and rooftop grills regularly -- grilling in the evening with cocktails in hand, watching the sky, ocean, and clouds, was a favorite dinnertime routine. The beach was often quiet and never crowded; you can walk an hour or two in either direction--which we did regularly--and only run into a handful of people. Many mornings from the balcony, we spotted sea turtles flapping about in the lagoon. And a fine bakery down the road opens at 6 am! It makes for a lovely morning walk with a reward of Portuguese doughnuts and a steamy latte. Writing all this makes me sad--wish I could slip on my flip flops and go back in a second. Thanks for a lovely stay.
We just got back from 10 days on Maui and I couldn't have picked a better location. The view from this particular unit is top notch. Better than many of the resorts in south Maui where rooms are further from beach. The unit itself is well stocked and perfect for those looking for a bit more space than a hotel room. We stayed with 4 adults and 2 kids. The only con is the sad state of couches in living room, but considering how little we were there to watch TV (some sports playoffs were in progress while we were there), it was okay. It was great to have in unit wash and dryer to make packing lighter. We liked kitchen for beak fast and leftover dinners for lunch. The staff provided starter kit for washer and dishwasher which was more than enough for us. About a load a day of each. The condo community itself is very well maintained. It's very clean and well manicured lawns. Beach directly to south was a bit rocky but free of seaweed and great for walking, flying kites, riding waves. Plenty of closet space, comfortable beds, clean and modern bathrooms. Being in north Kihei meant we were centrally located to almost everything on Island. Can't beat it!! It's about a mile from several good restaurants in Kihei. Pool is clean, a bit small compared to resorts but just right for condo community. Its about 50 foot oblong shape with max depth of 6 feet. Beach upfront and north of unit is great for kids and sand castles.
This property was so perfect for our family memories we're still talking about it. We spent 10 days with 6 adults in this well supplied, beautiful room. We woke up every day to watch the whales and turtles from the balcony. We spent our home cooked breakfasts and dinners on the lanai (big enough for all 6 of us) everyday. We don't have to pack tons of clothing since there's a full size washer and dryer which means my husband and I packed in one small suitcase saving money on the flight for luggage.
I have to laugh when I think about 6 adults, 4 laptops, 2 golf bags, 1 wheelchair and 5 suitcases in this place and there was plenty of room. I love the placement of the rooms, so we can either be in the common area with others or spend alone time in the bedroom. And when the kids (grown adults) stayed up later, we were surprised that we didn't hear them when we went to bed earlier.
Also waking up to the sound of the waves outside the window was like a magic sleep potion! We golfed, shopped, BBQed on the roof to the sunset, swam and had paddle boards delivered. But the best time was watching the whales give birth and breech. There were even binoculars in the room to use! You can tell this condo is well loved by a family, they've thought of and left for our use everything you could need and then some. Although we're surfers and the surf wasn't breaking, we're surprised that we didn't miss it. The rooms are spotless, pretty, comfortable (the beds are great) and if we didn't golf and shop would be a perfect place to park the car and never leave. I walked on the beach adjacent to the building, and swam in the pool.
We snorkeled right there, and paddleboarded inside the protected area until we got our sea legs and then headed out of the cove. We got a bird's eye view of a whale and her newborn calf. A trip we will long remember, which was our family goal. Soon the grown adults we love will have families and not be able to travel with us, or perhaps in this set up, they still will! Mahalo! The Vincents!
