About Lynn Tidd

We are a family from the SF bay area. When our first set of kids was finally grown and gone, we decided to finally move to Oregon and pursue our dreams beyond making a living. We came to Ashland for the mountain biking, amazing scenery, access to nature and the outdoors and a strong community with culture, great food and excellent educational opportunities. We love it here!!

Why Lynn Tidd chose Ashland

This home is such a special place, with it's views and privacy, yet so close to the fun of town, it can create a backdrop for a lovely vacation or gathering for all ages. It is very comfortable, with just enough luxury to be special, but not so much that families with kids are uncomfortable.

What makes this house unique

From dawn 'til dark the view will enchant you, the first light in the east peeking over the mountains that way to the brilliant sunsets to the west, you can never get enough of the view. Once nightfalls, the crickets and frogs will offer a lullaby while you star gaze from the deck, the sky so dark and clear, you can see every magical inch.

Family Reunion Fun

  • 4 of 5

This property is fun on several levels.. It's got an 'out in the country' feel with lovely views - sitting on a knoll above amidst horse pastures - yet at the same time you're minutes from downtown Ashland. It's big with plenty of private sleeping spaces for our large group of four adults and three teens + three bathrooms! Large family room for watching movies, playing games etc. Very big kitchen/eating area.

The heater keeps the house warm and cozy - even when you wake to a surprise vista of snow! Close to good hiking, easy access to Ashland plays and foodie places. And only 20 minutes to Medford for ice-skating with the kids. We'd return in a heartbeat.

Fabulous Place for Ashland Stay

  • 5 of 5

Our Los Angeles, Portland, Bend, and Rogue Valley family members spent four days here enjoying the house, the setting and the view. This home is spacious and comfortable. We had a wonderful time. Lynn was easy to work with and very welcoming. Thanks for the lovely Christmas tree. If you have a sizable group, this is the place!

Spacious, comfortable, fantastic views!

  • 5 of 5

This was a perfect place for our family to enjoy some private, quiet time while taking advantage of fun things to do in Ashland. The spacious kitchen and dining area works well for cooking and serving big meals. The entire living area is open to sweeping mountain views. Sleeping is comfortable and quiet. The Halloween parade downtown was great (free) street theatre!

Beautiful, Private Retreat AND Close to the City

  • 5 of 5

The house was beautiful with an amazing view. Although there are three bedrooms, there is a fourth room available with a separate entrance, so the house can be used like it has four bedrooms. There are also many extra beds and sleeping options. We came for a family reunion and Lynn was a wonderful hostess. She brought us fresh flowers and eggs and was open to suggestions, ideas for activities, and any help we needed. We could love to come back for another future vacation.

Lovely Home, Perfect Hostess

  • 5 of 5

7 women - family and friends - shared this beautiful, clean, scenic home for a fun weekend in Ashland. The layout and appointments were perfect. We had everything we needed to relax and just enjoy ourselves. It was especially helpful that there are extra real mattresses and bedding available to set up flexible sleeping arrangements. We enjoyed walking in the neighborhood and picking blackberries, but ran out of time to visit nearby wineries. We also took a lovely hike to the top of Mt. Ashland and enjoyed the beautiful views of Mt. Shasta from there. The plays, shopping and dining in town were a lot of fun and one should definitely take the backstage tour. It's a very easy drive into Ashland and we had no problem finding convenient parking any time day or night. All around a wonderful vacation and we would love to come back again and again!

We rented this house in Ashland for one week and it was perfect for our needs. The views are beautiful and you are only a 7 minute drive to downtown Ashland. Lynn, the owner, is very responsive and went out of her way to insure our stay was pleasurable. She asked in advance if we had any needs, and I mentioned I like to barbecue. She showed up our first day with a new BBQ in hand... We highly recommend this house and plan to stay here again on our next visit.
