Beacon has many fine art galleries, specialty shops and restaurants and the Dia Art Foundation Museum. The owner of the house also works at one of the galleries. Beacon is located on the Metro-North commuter railroad and is only about 60 miles North of New York City. The house is located just off Main Street and is accessible and within walking distance to most everything in town! The historic home is conveniently located just off Main Street with its many shops, dining, clubs and galleries, and friendly people. A health clinic, dentist, pharmacies, post office, dry cleaners and grocery store are also within close walking distance. The Town Crier and other music venues occupy the street and offer top-rated entertainment.
