Family Time at the Cabin

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I met our 2 adult children and their spouses for a long weekend at this cabin. We found the place clean, comfortable and as described. We had a wonderful time. We did a lot of cooking while we were there and found the place had everything we needed. The bedrooms were spacious and very quiet and the bathrooms perfect. We would definitely stay here again.

Lovely cabin, though not a welcoming stay.

  • 2 of 5

Upon arrival, we noticed it was freezing cold inside. We checked in at 4pm and weren’t comfortable until very late at night. We texted the owner and he let us know the radiant heat takes a while to warm up, but showed no remorse for leaving it turned off in the middle of winter. The thermostats read 50-60 degrees inside for at least the first 5 hours of our stay. There’s no reason we should have to wear down jackets inside just to be comfortable.

On the way out, we barely made it out by the 10am sharp checkout time due to the exhaustive to-do list. We basically had to clean the entire cabin ourselves, including running and emptying the dishwasher and stripping all the beds. Why such an exorbitant cleaning fee if we have to do so much of the work? Not to mention the cleaning person was waiting for us to leave, just adding to the stress of checking out.

Besides all that, lovely cabin with great access to the park and into town. Saw lots of elk roaming about. Nice that it’s dog friendly too.

House and area are beautiful well stocked kitchen

  • 3 of 5

The rock formations and trees were beautiful to wake up to . There are a few things the side door doesn’t lock didn’t feel safe staying in the livingroom not very dog friendly should have a gate access on upper level. Pics are deceiving description sounds like you get to enjoy both levels.heater took a long time to heat the house but once it was heated it was great
