Our stay at Rose Cottage

  • 5 of 5

We are 2 families from Belgium who were looking for an affordable ski-holiday.

We found the Kanin Ski area as a very suited area for families. It exceeds the small ski areas, and is not too big.

From that point we started looking for accommodation in the neighborhood and came across Rose Cottage in Bovec.

From the First contact with the owner, Rob Fernall proved to be a very helpful owner. He replied to all questions and everything is really well organized. Information is given on the right times.

Because of the correct information given upfront, our stay in rose cottage was better than expected. We did not came across any surprises during our stay which is how it should be all the time. We were with 1 person extra ==> 5 children and 4 adults, but the house was for sure still big enough and more than comfortable to house us all.

We plan to go again next year!

Rose cottage was in a perfect location ,quiet, but only a 5 minute walk

to centre of town. We had a group of 8 people and there was plenty of

space. The booking process was very easy and all questions/enquiries were

answered promptly ,Highly recommend Rose Cottage to anyone looking for a

comfortable ,value for money accommodation that can sleep up to eight

people

Excellent! Spacious, comfortable, convenient.

  • 5 of 5

We had a great holiday in Rose Cottage. As a group of kayakers we wanted a house close to town in which we could efficiently store and dry all our equipment. We were not disappointed! The house is quietly situated, but convenient for the shops and restaurants; it has spacious, homely and flexible rooms. We had no complaints at all and the owners were really quick and easy to deal with. We will return!

Great house in beautiful area

  • 4 of 5

Well located & just a short walk from local restaurants & supermarket. The house did actually comfortably sleep us all (have stayed in many where you feel like you are indoor camping) & the kitchen was really well set up for 8 people. Location is great, Bovec is a lovely town with gorgeous surrounding areas for walking etc ... we will definitely visit again in the summer time for Kayaking.

Comfortable, cozy and convenient,

  • 5 of 5

Me, and my four children had a fabulous stay in Rose Cottage, once we'd found it down a quiet little street in Bovec. This town just improves year on year, nice bars and restaurants, easy access to several airports and ski resorts. Slovenia is one of those secret gems, a country as clean and spectacular as Switzerland, as friendly as Italy and still (at the moment) cheap enough to enjoy.

Rose Cottage for us was a very very last minute booking when our own one fell through the day before we were due to leave. The owner emailed and texted back immediately I inquired even though he was out of the UK, was accommodating and helpful throughout.

The house is great. A double bedroom, two twins and a single, all beds clean, made, and waiting for us when we got there. Tea, coffee and milk also waiting for us on the kitchen table. Easy 5 minute walk to the shops to stock up. The house manager spoke good English and was there on the phone or rang us back whenever we needed help or to know something.

Views across the valley to the mountains on the other side from the balcony, and clear starry nights with no light pollution (on the three clear starry nights we had!).

Everything in the house looked new, all the sheets were crispy. It was warm and comfy, I can't say we could recommend Slovenian television but we did enjoy the DVDs and games there. Two long sofas to chill out on and recover for tomorrows skiing. Two baths with showers so fewer arguments with the girls. Big kitchen table to loaf around while the designated cook was shouted culinary advice.

All in all a great week was had by all, and wouldn't hesitate to tell my friends to go there.
