An incredible find for people who want the comfort of a house that is much newer and in much better shape than most Stinson Beach homes. Five houses from the beach and six minutes walk to town, this house is bound to become a vacation favorite for your family. It has all the modern conveniences, too.
Unwind by the ocean in this comfortable, luxurious, family-friendly 3 bedroom home. All new furnishings, just steps from the beach. A short walk down the beach will bring you to the Stinson Beach business district, where you will find a well-stocked grocery store, a great little bookstore, local bars and restaurants. Hop in the car and take Hwy 1 in either direction for incredible scenic drives to some of the San Francisco Bay Area's justifiably world famous attractions, from the Golden Gate Bridge to the Napa Valley wineries. Hike or bike the surrounding hills and beaches, take out a kayak on the lagoon, surf the waves, or just relax and breathe the fresh sea air.
I have always been drawn to the beach since my parents started making the 10 hour drive from Ohio to the Delaware shore in the 1960s. The memories of those family adventures are still with me today. My wife experienced the beach as a child growing up in England. Our three children are 16, 13 and 7. I am a registered investment advisor and run 360 Investment Advisors in San Rafael. Our Stinson house is perfect for us and we think you’ll enjoy it too.
The Owner purchased this house in 2012
Our family of five has been enjoying Stinson Beach for close to two decades. We live in San Rafael, so it’s a one-hour drive to this wonderful and welcoming village by the sea. We rented houses all over the beach area, from the close-in Calles out to the secluded subdivision of Seadrift. After years of renting, we fell in love with a house that came on the market in 2012, and which had not been available for rent. That house is 14 Calle Del Pradero. We hope you will like the house as much as we do.
14 Calle del Pradero stands out from the other houses in Stinson. It’s very unusual because it’s one of the newest and largest homes within yards of the beach and within 5 minutes walk to the center of town, with it’s shops and dining. It’s very well designed, very well maintained and full of great touches and useful conveniences. Plus, it’s new on the vacation rental market. We think it will get fully booked very quickly. We certainly love staying here.
We just wanted to tell you what a wonderful time we had at your place in Stinson! The location was great for our needs and the house had a nice open feel.
We will definitely book again.
Our family has been vacationing in Stinson Beach for over 20 years and this is the first time we rented this house. We loved it! It was perfect for our group of 5 adults and 2 kids. The main living area is situated upstairs, with a large great room and kitchen. It's was the perfect place to gather. There is a master suite plus a half bath upstairs, and two more bedrooms and a bathroom downstairs. All the furniture was great, including the huge couch in the great room. We were all able to fit on it comfortably for movie watching and board game playing. All the beds were very comfortable. The home has beautiful tile floors throughout and high ceilings, therefore it echos a bit and voices carry. This is definitely not a criticism of the house, but more of a heads-up for light sleepers. Noise carries very easily, so bring your earplugs if you like to sleep in. There was a welcome basket of sparkling wine, crackers and chocolate on the counter when we arrived. This was so thoughtful and unexpected. The owners were very easy to work with and responsive. We especially appreciated that they allowed us to check in early and check out late. We will absolutely stay here again.
We love this house. This is our second time staying here and it just gets better each time. Steps to the beach, close walk to town (General Store, Parkside Diner, etc.), and really comfortable rooms. Great kitchen for cooking and super relaxing TV room. We will definitely be back!
We were there for a wedding at Stinson Beach. The house was nicely set up for the 3 generations we had staying there. The location is amazing, and the short walk to the beach let us come and go as we wished. The furnishings were comfortable and the kitchen had all the necessary utensils and appliances. Our only glitch was that the key to the property was not left where it was supposed to be--the cleaning crew (working at the house across the street) came to our rescue.
Great location and friendly, easy to reach owners. House is showing some signs of neglect compared to last year. Last year when we rented the house the refrigerator was leaky. This year we had to keep a towel at the base to absorb the daily accumulating puddle. Lower fridge drawer is off its roller. Last year we saw a bug or two - of course, it's the beach! This year we had a multi day ant invasion and had to hide all of our food in the microwave and the refrigerator. Ants were on every surface in the kitchen, upstairs bedrooms and bathrooms. By the time we left there were far fewer. Maybe it was weather?
14 Calle del Pradero - attractive house, well-designed at an excellent location. Being an avid gardener, it was a little sad to see the property around the house not being taken care of, BUT with having the sun (barely any fog), the sand and being with loved ones - I closed my eyes as I entered and exited the house.
I have already recommended the property to a friend and if coming back to Stinson Beach, "14" is the place to return to.
We spent three nights with our kids at this place - it is a great house for one family. With the parent's bedroom upstairs away from the kids (second and third bedrooms are down stairs) there's plenty of room to spread out. Trips to the beach couldn't be simpler - just walk out the door and walk 100 feet and there you are. We spent all days on the beach, at lunch time one day I walked back to the house, put a pizza in the oven and walked it back to the hungry swimmers. We will definitely stay here again in the weeks ahead!
No need to put on shoes to go to the beach! Situated on a private road leading from Hwy 1 to the beach.
About a 35-minute drive from the Golden Gate Bridge on California's Highway 1, Stinson Beach is near important attractions such as Muir Woods National Monument, Agate Beach tidepools, and Mount Tamalpais. It has a long sandy beach, and peaceful lagoon which teems with birds and wildlife.
Stinson Beach is a popular day trip for people in the San Francisco Bay Area and for tourists visiting northern California. The network of hiking trails around Mount Tamalpais is extensive and breathtaking. The beach is one of the cleanest in the state.
