The cottage is approximately 150 years old but has been extensively modernised whilst retaining much character including exposed internal stone walls. A new Kitchen was installed in March 2014 and new single beds have been added to the twin bedroom. There is one double bedroom, one twin bedroom with additional pullout beds and a day room containing a double bed setee. There is a large breakfasting kitchen, a small TV lounge and a very large lounge with log burner, juke box and pool table. There are two bathrooms both of which has recently been completely renovated. There is a large rear garden and a large patio with garden furniture and barbeque. The cottage is 100 metres from historic Crail harbour and 20 minutes by car from St Andrews. There is car parking for 3-4 cars.
We had a great golfing holiday in Eddie's cottage. After a hard day on the links (9 courses in 9 days) it was perfect to be able to come back to the comfort of TWO lounges - one with pool and juke-box! - and to eat in the spacious kitchen. The bedrooms are a good size, the beds comfortable, wi-fi on tap, parking outside, barbecue out back (reluctant to tell you about the lobsters you can buy on the harbour-front). We ate out on occasion - the Waterfront in Anstruther and (outstanding) the Doll's House in St Andrews were the pick. And the Golf Hotel up the road serves a great pint!

The property is located in the beautiful old fishing village of Crail approximately 10 miles from the historic town of St Andrews famous for its golf courses,ancient university and glorious sands where the opening sequence of the film Chariots of Fire was shot. The local area is dotted with picturesque fishing villages and enough golf courses within a short drive to keep even the most avid golfer in raptures for at least a month.
There are more beautiful beaches at Elie just ten miles away and in other small coves around the coast. Wild life abounds with numerous sea birds and seals and the occasional dolphin to be seen just offshore. The area is a walker and golfer's paradise.
There are numerous quality restaurants nearby and lots of small pubs with character. There are also a number of local festivals and events especially in the summer months which will keep the whole family entertained.
The property itself has a large safe garden and various toys and games for all.
