This mid island beauty is tastefully decorated to give you that true Southwest Florida beach feel. Located 'one back', this home is situated between private homes and beach cottages to give you just the right amount of space away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Fort Myers Beach. Hop in your car, or jump onto the island trolley to explore this quaint 7.5 mile island.

The home is situated on the beach side, with plenty of white sand just steps away. No busy streets to cross, kids and family can play, swim, fish or just go shelling steps from our home.

View great sunsets from either the second floor deck or the third floor deck. The outdoor decks have plenty of loungers and chairs for tanning or simply enjoying an outdoor lunch for the entire family.

Vacation and Reunion Combined

Just got back from two weeks in FMB at the Island Cardinal. My wife and I along really enjoyed the home along with some friends who stopped by. It is perfect for three couples with each having their own bathroom and the other beds got great reviews from our friends. The master bedroom is magnificent. Getting up each morning and having coffee on the top deck (from the master) looking out over the beach and gulf was a special treat that I won't soon forget. The house is up to date with modern appliances, secure wifi, and direct TV. Plenty of room for a large family and still get some privacy and the closeness to the beach is a major plus. It was equipped with beach towels and other beach toys. You are far away from Times Square (about 3 miles) and at this time of the year the trolley is stuck in traffic just like the cars so it is harder to get to the majority of restaurants in town. That is the only drawback that we experienced. There is also a lot of steps so a handicapped person would have trouble at this home. The manager was quick to get back to you and any problems that occurred were solved. We were sad to leave this island home.

Very nice and relaxing.

6 adults found this home perfect. Steps from waters edge. Home clean with more than enough room for all. Lovely sunset from sunning deck. Kitchen had ample wares for meal prep. Beds comfortable as all are king size. Owner very easy to work with. No surprises..Just like photos!

Location, Location!

We rented Island Cardinal with two other couples for a week. We all had our own privacy having the three bedrooms and 3 baths. The kitchen was fully equipped with all the essentials. The house was decorated nicely and very clean. Being mid-beach was a plus, not crowed at all, especially being spring break. When we took a break from the beach we enjoyed spending time on the covered deck, shopping and sight seeing. The trolley stop was right next door, which we did use. Island Cardinal was everything we needed and hoped it would be!

Perfect Beach Home Getaway!

My family of 6 loved our week at the Island Cardinal! Linda's home is very well laid out and includes almost any amenity you would want. We made many meals in the kitchen and on the grill, and enjoyed them on the covered porch overlooking the beach. The two balconies were wonderful, providing beautiful views of the beach and sunset every night. All 3 bedrooms had comfortable beds and it's own full bath, so there was ample privacy and space for everyone.

The house is ideally located steps away from the beach, which made catching some sun, fun in the water, then a quick break for lunch or a nap extremely easy. The location of the home on the island was perfect for our family, being on the quieter side of the island made the beach a delight since it was not overly crowded. We were able to walk to several farmers markets, restaurants, and even the grocery store.

Linda was wonderful answering any questions we had quickly. We look forward to returning again next year!

Awesome vacation

We rented this house with two other couples and the size and layout were perfect. The furnishing are comfortable and tastfull. The home was well stocked with all of the essentials. The location was perfect and the beach was beautiful.

Located inland Fort Myers, the Edison/Ford Winter homes. Also, great outlet shopping nearby I-75 or near scenic Captiva/Sanibel Islands. This mid island location affords guests a leisurely vacation nestled in between other condos, homes and hotels. Just north, is the island's "Time Square" area with a pier, shops and small restaurants. Spring affords guests an escape from the cold into this warm, carefree environment.
