I am a local artist. I grew up in the mining town of Fort McMurray, Alberta. Wanting to pursue art full-time my fiancée and I moved our family into this beautiful community in 2008. With the many parks, nature areas and access to the mountains it is an artist's delight, and an amazing place to raise our family, with never-ending inspiration for my art.
Leon Keeping purchased this house in 2008
This property is a beautifully unique, artistic home. It boasts spacious rooms, three having full ensuites, & many skylights throughout. Add to that the sophisticated high-tech home theater with 120 inch screen, seating for nine, surround sound and its own concession with popcorn maker, makes it a renter's paradise. Don't forget the chef's kitchen boasting double convection ovens, indoor grill and gas range. there is also double doors leading to an outdoor patio with the Traeger grill band a propane BBQ.
Being an avid cook. The kitchen is my favorite room, but the artist in me appreciates the home theater.
The master bedroom is a Greek inspired, open concept room with six piece ensuite, including a jetted tub, bidet, fireplace, hardwood floors, skylights, vaulted ceiling, ceiling fans and Juliet balcony.
Thanks so much for the feedback, I really appreciate it and I'm glad you enjoyed your stay. Thank you as well for taking the time to fill out a review.
We really enjoyed staying here. Had absolutely everything you needed. Theatre is incredible - felt like I was at the cinema. House is very very clean.
Close to all amenities.
Only recommendation would be to bring your own pillows. Pillows are not very comfortable.
Loved our stay. We will come back again.
We stayed as a family of 5 in this home for 6 days over the Christmas holidays, while visiting family. We were very excited to find a HomeAway rental in Lethbridge, as we travel a lot and prefer to stay in homes where we can relax and spread out, rather than stay in a cramped hotel room, or in this case, bounce around from one family members home to another's-not the most relaxing for either party. 😉
This home was in a quiet neighborhood with parks and shopping nearby. Home was very clean (I'm a clean freak so VERY important to me). There was ample space for our family of 5. Kitchen was decently stocked for cooking. Theater room was a big hit with our kids and their cousins. Netflix was an added plus. Since it was Christmas, the home was decorated with a lovely tree and other touches which provided a festive atmosphere in this home away from home. Large capacity washer/dryer. Good separation throughout the home, but good gathering spaces as well.
What would make the home even better would be these suggestions:
Since it was winter, and snowing, it would have been nice to have the use of the garage for parking, as parking was a bit difficult with someone else parking in front of the home each day we were there, forcing us to park further away from the home in the snowy weather. Also, the beds/futons in the loft were very uncomfortable (per our kids) so would recommend perhaps replacing those with real beds.
All in all, we would definitely rent this home again and would recommend it.
What a fabulous place. We had a large group of people (including small children) and this place more than met our needs. It was beautifully decorated, had tons of room...and that theatre - WOW. Leon was a pleasure to work with and easily contacted. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking to stay in Lethbridge.
We booked last minute for a funeral and everything worked out better than we thought possible. Leon was responsive via text or phone and flexible as we arrived late night due to extended road trip and had limited access to emails. Everything promised and offered on the web was exactly as described, and all at a reasonable price. It was convenient to all of our destinations and allowed us to host family for a nice visit after the funeral, and to destress in the theater watching family movies and pictures, allowing us to become better acquainted and renew old relationships (after near 60 years for some in the travel group). The ambience is excellent and well chosen, and was enhanced by the owner's art work. Using the house was easy and well labeled and in the right location, exactly when needed. We were able to relax and focus on our reason for being there and to grow together as family. If the need arises to be in Lethbridge again, hope this property is available. Would love to stay again.

This house was absolutely perfect for the big family holiday we planned in Lethbridge. Leon was very accommodating and went over and above to make sure we were satisfied before, during and after our stay. The layout of the house works perfectly for everyone to have their own space, while allowing for adequate room to all gather together for meals and visiting. The location is very easy to find and is close to beautiful outdoor space for walking, running or playing. Highly recommended for your next trip to Lethbridge!
Five of us were in Lethbridge for the 2016 Lost Soul Ultramarathon and we stayed at Leon Keeping's fabulous house! Everything about it was perfect....location, accessibility, amenities, cleanliness, convenience. This was soooo much better than staying in a hotel! We loved being able to spread out to prep all the race gear, do our own cooking, have a beautiful house to socialize in, and of course we watched a movie each night in the incredible movie theatre! Thank you Leon for a wonderful and memorable stay!
