Muskoka is an area that we have always been drawn to and have loved to visit. We still at times can not believe that such a beautiful place is ours and we are so excited to raise our family there and share our incredible cottage with our wonderful renters.
The views from every room in the home are absolutely breath taking.
Another stay in paradise again this year. The house is lovely and huge, the swimming is divine (warm water, sandy bottom, nice to wade in, drops off past the edge of the dock) and we even caught a fish right off of the dock! The view from the deck is incredible. We will be back again next year :) Also love the 3 kayaks. We toured the lake, so much fun!
AMAZING!!!The cottage is very clean, lots of space, supplies, the view is amazing, privacy is exceptional, we had absolutely nothing negative to say about the place. It was amazing. We will definitely visit again.
My family has been renting cottages for nearly a decade and we have NEVER before rented such a beautiful place. This home should not even be called a cottage, but a lake house as it is truly a HUGE home. What a gem - and the prices are so reasonable considering! There are 4 GIANT bedrooms that are decorated impeccably and the 2.5 bathrooms are a huge bonus too. The entire home is spotless and has EVERYTHING you would ever need. The home has the most beautiful sunset view and there are 2 different balconies that you can enjoy the view from. Even the BBQ and outdoor dining set is brand new and spotless!
The lake itself is so clean with crystal clear water and a beautiful sandy bottom. The lake was perfect for our young children with the sand bottom, and large shallow wading area. The water doesn't get deep until past the dock a few feet and then it drops off. The dock itself is huge and a perfect place to suntan and listen to music or read a book. There is also a beautiful deck by the water's edge which is nicely shaded if you need a break from the hot sun. All in all this place is simply amazing and we will be back. There will be no need for use to look for another "cottage" to rent again.
WOW! The photos on here do not do this place justice, the view is breathtaking. The cottage is also so much bigger than it first may seem, every room was well equipped and there wasn’t anything that i was wishing that i had packed. It was also very clean and well kept.
We had fun boating on the lake, as well as swimming in it and kayaking. If you ever feel you need to leave this beauty though, there is a small town just a few minutes drive, that houses a pub, lcbo, ice cream shop (you have to pay it a visit) as well as a shallow beach area. 20 minutes away is the nearest town of Huntsville where you will find all the usual amenities should you need them.
We cant wait to go back again this year. Thanks Frank & Jess for making our booking and stay so seamless. I have already recommended you to my friends and family.
We stayed for six amazing days in December. The cottage was VERY clean and well taken care of. It was nicely furnished, and extremely comfortable. The cottage was equipped with everything that we needed for a comfortable stay. The view was incredible! Having access to the internet was an added bonus :)
Thank you, Jessica and Frank :)
My family visited Ontario, to tour Toronto and the Niagara region.
Friends persuaded us to make time to travel north of the GTA, and discover the Muskokas. Are we ever glad we did!
Being from Alberta, our stay on Sand Lake rewrote my earlier impression regarding the hustle and bustle of Ontario. Serene, clean and welcoming. That is exactly what awaited us, upon arriving at the cottage. This place is HUGE! 2-3 families could easily get lost in this sprawling 'cabin'.
The home is fully serviced, plenty of water.
It sits on a heavily treed peak, overlooking the lake. Truly, pictures can not do the view justice. A meandering, if steep, path leads down to the waters edge.
Many a night were spent with the kids, jumping into the lake from the attached dock.
I'm fussy...and can usually find places where owners can improve.
Our experience from booking, through to our stay, was as comfortable as the living room couch. A real treat for me and my family. We will be back!
National Geographic Traveler magazine has chosen Muskoka as one of Best of The World - Must-see places for 2012! Muskoka was also recognized by National Geographic as the #1 pick on their Ten Best Trips of Summer list. These endorsements are amazing.
Muskoka has an abundance of things to see and do. The list is long with something for every taste and interest. Visit a museum, hike a pristine trail, star gaze, swim in sparkling waters, shop for that perfect piece of art, sip some local wine or beer on a dock, get up close and personal with wildlife, pamper yourself at a spa, give your taste buds a treat, photograph stunning vistas, or enjoy one of the many events and festivals which reflect Muskoka's charm and uniqueness. Whether you feel like being outdoors or indoors, whether you are a beginner or an expert, whatever the season, whatever the budget, Muskoka has something for everyone.
Our cottage is only 30 minutes from the world-famous town of Huntsville and only 10 minutes from infamous Algonquin Park.
