I owned a property on West End in Galveston, but as a senior citizen, just knew I would enjoy condo living so much more. Why Ellen May chose Galveston
Having been a realtor I was always cognizant of the first 3 rules of purchasing a home--1. Location 2. Location 3. Location. There are many similar plans in this hi-rise and of course they have different views. This Malibu has IT ALL! Views down the beach toward the Pleasure Pier/grand views of the Gulf/and a marvelous location to see pool area and water features etc. without being disturbed by the participants. We were pleasantly surprised to find we lucked out literally with this condo location. Totally shaded and breezy (usually) in the popular summer months, and sunny and warm during the winter months which make for year round enjoyment.
What makes this Condo unique
Without sounding redundant, the location of this particular unit was exactly what I was looking for in Palisade Palms. This floor plan affords 2 private separate bedrooms on either side of living area with en suite bathrooms. The bonus room has trundle beds but is a fun play room for kids also.

This was our first time to Galveston Island and we were so happy that we chose the east end of the island and Ellen's lovely condo at Palisade Palms. Ellen was very helpful in answering all questions and making sure our visit went smoothly. The listing and photos accurately depict this property. I would definitely recommend it! The condo is clean, beautifully decorated and well maintained. The beds were comfortable, there were plenty of towels, and the kitchen was well stocked. The balcony was shaded throughout the entire day and the view was perfect to look out at the pool, the Gulf, Pleasure Pier and to watch the flocks of pelicans flying by. The entire complex was bright and clean and all the employees were very nice and welcoming. Thank you, Ellen!

We enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this unit! Beautiful views and well appointed. Pallisade Palms offers many amenities and the beach access is far superior to most Galveston rentals.
Located near the best restaurants, Ellen's condo also is perfect for cooking your own meals too. Internet, televisions, and bed comfort all get high marks!

Beautiful beach view! Beautiful condo - everything we needed!
Ellen's condo was perfect for our family - it felt just like being at home, very comfortable, beautifully decorated. We have been staying at the Palisade Palms for years but this was the first time at Ellen's and we will definitely be coming back. She was very attentive and wanted to be sure we had everything we needed, and that everything was working. The location on the east end of the island is perfect for going downtown and to the spots we like - Mosquito Cafe, Farley Girls, Sunflower Bakery (the pies o my!), and shopping on the Strand.

This property is located just minutes away from the historic and famous Strand District with shopping, art galleries galore, antiquing, finest of restaurants, Galveston Harbor with cruise ship departures and arrivals, 1894 Grand Opera House, sailing vessel Elyssa. Only minutes away from new Pleasure Pier. Easy drive to Moody Gardens and Schlitterbahn which are open year 'round. Magnificent Bishop's Palace, Moody Mansion, Ashton Villa all available for guided tours. Public golf at refurbished Moody Gardens Golf Course. Large grocery store 5 minutes away!

Palisade Palms requires a minimum 6 night stay. Please do not request a lesser stay as monetary fines are imposed by the condominium if an owner breaks that rule. Prices do not reflect 15% hotel tax,$59.00 insurance, $85.00 departure cleaning and a service fee charged by VRBO. I am flexible about July 4th dates/minimum 6 nights, however. Thank you, Ellen May
