The Kerrison Family has roots in Kiawah for many generations. This home is well loved and well kept. Many family memories have been made here. All of us living in Charleston means we can come and enjoy often!
Hunter Kerrison purchased this house in 1975
The way this property is set up is very friendly to groups seeking to be able to retreat and to come together. It is well placed near everything. It has a warm feeling and it kept better than many people's primary residence (including mine sometimes :)
We love Kiawah. Time stands still here a bit. We can walk to the beach, ride bikes on the trials, head to fresh field, eat out or grill on the back porch whilethe kids play on the golf course after hours. I sleep well here. The kids are safe and free here. The adults are comfortable here. Come see for yourself.
Our family has rented 321 Palm Warbler for 5 straight years. We walk in and feel at home. It handles our family beautifully and is close to the beach. It is well loved and the owners always attend to our needs beyond the basics. We highly recommend.
THe house is nicely laid out for vacations; Mom and Dad can sleep while the kids play. It's not really near the beach, but there's a beach entrance directly at the end of the closest street that goes to the beach. The house has been recently painted. The beds are comfortable, and it is spacious. It backs onto the fairway of the 13th hole of the Cougar Point course, but there isn't a lot of noise from golfers. The kitchen is fairly well outfitted. This is our 3rd Christmas in the house. The carpets are a bit worn, as are the floors, but nothing extreme. Our only real complaint had nothing to do with the house but with the fact that it had not been cleaned very well.
My family of five spent a week in this house, also hosting my parents and my wife's mother for their first visits to Kiawah. Finding a suitable property wasn't easy because we needed wheelchair access. There simply aren't many properties that fit the bill on Kiawah. This one was perfect, accessible using our portable ramp and with plenty of room inside for a wheelchair or scooter. Everyone felt comfortable.
The location is great -- on the golf course and about a five minute walk to the beach. Even with an unusual heat wave, we were comfortable on the large, shaded deck and spent a lot of time out there.
The property owners were a pleasure to deal with and went above and beyond to ensure the house met the needs of our elderly guests.
Just a tremendous trip and a great house. Highly recommend.
Our second family beach week in this home was as wonderful as our stay 2 years ago. The large, well equipped kitchen was great! The house was comfortable and provided plenty of space for 5 adults and 5 children. When we can gather our family all together again, we will certainly return to this lovely KI home.
Location, space, cleanliness, and very accommodating owners make this a wonderful vacation home!
Very comfy house with plenty of room for lots of people to spread out...bedrooms are very quiet..you can't hear talking or the tv. Mattresses are also great. Big kitchen with most of what you need..we enjoyed this house thoroughly. Short walk to the beach. The neighborhood is peaceful as well.
We have stayed in this home for the last three years and look forward to our vacation all year long! We have stayed in other homes on the island and even owned one in the west beach for a few years. It's very important to regularly maintain A/C, pest control, appliances, etc. and this house has always been in great shape. My kids love the new bunk beds and we love the short bike ride to the beach and beautiful fairway views.
Your house was very comfortable for the 2 families and teenagers that came to Kiawah. Easy walk to the beach and tons of trails to jog or ride bikes on. Of the 4 bedrooms, one room has 2 sets of bunk beds so the teenagers were able to comfortably sleep together. All beds have nice linens and memory foam. Towels are plush. Kitchen is well-equipped. Large porch overlooking golf course with plenty of room for a large crowd. Great family beach memories!
Our home is nestled among trees on a golf course two blocks from the Kiawah beach. A restful beach with wide, flat sand, filled with turtle, birds, deer and wild life. The island is great for biking, swimming, many family events, fields and along all bike trails with playgrounds and soccer and frisbee golf. 7 premiere golf courses. boutiques and restaurants on island at freshfields. Marina with boats down the way. Kayaking, fishing, tours, and the like all available at nature center
