“Cabana Blu” is a new, beautiful and spacious, beach retreat conveniently located in the quiet, upscale neighborhood of Lakeside at Blue Mountain Beach. Adjacent to Redfish Village on Scenic 30A, with beach access in view, and just a short 2 block walk, bike or drive to magnificent Blue Mountain Beach with facilities and lifeguards during season.

Designed with vacationers in mind, 'CB' is a 2317 sft. beach house in one of the best locations in Lakeside. This retreat is a 4 bedroom, 3 1/2 bath house featuring a massive open floor plan, great for spending time with family and friends.

Cabana Blu includes bright coastal decor and a large first floor gourmet kitchen featuring granite counter tops, high-end stainless steel appliances including a built in ice maker, abundant cabinet storage, custom tile in bathrooms, 20' ceilings with antique wood beams in dining and family area and beautiful pine floors. The living area features beach cottage comfortable seating, a 55” TV and PS3/DVD Player. The first floor Master Bedroom provides a King Bed, 39” TV, Blu Ray DVD, walk-in closet with built in storage, private bath with double vanity sinks, a shower with seat and dual shower heads (rainfall). A half bath and laundry room are also available.

The second level includes a second Master Bedroom with a King bed, a closet with built-ins, and a 39” TV. The third Bedroom has two Queen Beds, a closet with built ins, and a 39” TV. A large Jack & Jill bath adjoins the King and Queen rooms, with a single shower area, and completely separate vanity sections. In the fourth bedroom are two sets of twin built in bunks, a 39” TV, a built in dresser and is adjacent to the fourth bath.

Lakeside pool and clubhouse are just down the street, complete with several tables, chairs, umbrellas and an outdoor shower. You can ride bikes around the quaint, private neighborhood (5 adult bikes, 2 children's bikes and helmets provided), hop on the 19 mile bike path along 30A to tour nearby Seaside (4.6 miles), Watercolor, and Grayton beach! A pathway connects the subdivision to specialty shops (salon, dining, banking, and more) at Redfish Village.

There is an oversized one car garage, including 5 adult and 2 child bikes, beach supplies such as a beach umbrellas, one 10x10 beach canopy, chairs, beach toys, 'Boogie Boards', paddle ball, and skim boards. Cook your 'catch of the day' on the gas grill provided. After a day at the beach, you may wash the days sand off at the enclosed outdoor shower. Cabana Blu features Wi-Fi, Direct TV and just about every desirable amenity.

You can enjoy quick access to Publix, nearby boutique shopping and absolutely THE BEST local dining ('Bayou Bills' seafood and more is great for large crowds, 'Sergio's Little Italy', 'Goatfeathers', 'Bud & Alleys' Pizza or Taco Bar, 'Cafe Thirty-A' and the famous 'Red Bar' to name a few) off of Hwy 30A, brand outlets in Destin and many area golf courses and family fun.

This fabulous beach retreat was designed for luxury, relaxation, comfort, and convenience all in close proximity to the magnificent gulf, National Forest, and world renowned beach surroundings.

We require half the total rent amount at the time of your reservation and the remainder will be payable 30 days prior to your arrival. We will then send you the code for the house key.

Home at the Cabana Blu

Cabana Blu was a wonderful place to stay. The owner was great to work with and answered any question I had in a timely manner. The house is lovely, the décor was out of the pages of the Pottery Barn catalog. We enjoyed the use of a variety of bicycles and beach toys that were available. The beds were very comfortable. The neighborhood was one of my favorite parts about staying at the Cabana Blu. The neighborhood was nice to ride bikes around and it was quiet and quaint. It was a short drive or walk to the beach. I preferred driving with all the items we took to the beach and we made a daily stop at the ice cream shop. I love the location. Blue Mountain Beach was beautiful it wasn't crowded. It was a short drive to many restaurants and to the grocery store. I had no idea what the area would be like, but Blue Mountain Beach along 30A and staying at the Cabana Blu made our Florida vacation one to remember for a lifetime! Thank you!

Excellent home, neighborhood, and vacation! We'll be back!

I hardly ever write reviews, but I thought I would since this was probably the best beach trip we have been on in years. Sometimes pictures can be misleading, so I am always skeptical when I go to a new place for the first time. This home is in a great neighborhood and everything was wonderful. THe home was bigger than i thought it was going to be and the layout is perfect. Its a very short walk to the beach and only about 100 yards from the neighborhood pool. I grew up going to Seaside and i love that its so close by. Everything you need is within 5 minutes away, but you dont feel like you are in the middle of the hustle and bustle, which is perfect. We will absolutely be going back next summer!

Wonderful time!!!

We had a wonderful vacation staying at Cabana Blu! The pictures and descriptions were true to what the house looked like and we were all very pleased. There were 12 of us on this trip and not once did we feel like we were falling all over each other or anything! Its in the perfect location and has easy access to everything!! Very pleased and would stay again in a heartbeat!!! The Blue Mountain Creamery is a must!!!!

Amazing home!

We had the best 7 nights in this house! It was so close to beach and a walk from the pool! We loved riding the bikes that were already there to watercolor and seaside! Love this location off of 30a! The house was perfect and slept our 11 very comfortable! Loved how there were bikes already there and plenty of toys.

Beautiful and spacious!

We had a great time at Cabana Blu! The house is beautiful and spacious. There is a private walkway to the road behind the house making this the closest house to the beach in all the neighborhood. The owners checked on us after our check-in and I appreciated that. We loved the bikes and all the beach gear. A previous reviewer mentioned road noise, and although there was a little bit of noise, the sound machine in the master made it unnoticeable. I wanted to take that thing home with me! We would definitely rent here again!

Lovely Home Great Location, but...

The home was beautiful and the location perfect for us, but we ran in to a few issues. The bathrooms were not clean upon arrival and the refrigerator was also not cleaned out. The washing machine did not work as advertised. Maintenance people were brought in during our stay to work on it, but it was never fixed. We also encountered an issue with the WIFI which was addressed during our stay.

The cleaning company needs to be replaced as it is obvious they are not doing the job. Several hand soap dispensers throughout the home are empty and several rooms (master bath, laundry and hall area) had sand on the floors. Hoping the owners will address these issues and get new cleaners.

We have been traveling to this area for 15+ years and have always enjoyed every property we have rented including this one and have never felt compelled to right a negative review until now. It was disappointing to encounter several issues during our stay. The owners offered us a $50 visa card for the troubles we encountered, but we felt that was not appropriate considering the number of issues we faced. We requested refunding of our cleaning fee, but have yet to receive confirmation from them.

The home layout and appearance is exactly as it appears on the VRBO page and very spacious. I have a close friend interested in renting this property as well, but hoping the cleaning situation is addressed.

Owner's Response: Thank you so much for taking the time to provide us with your thoughts. We take all feedback very seriously and will use it to improve the experiences for your and other guests future stays. Although, we feel that the issues you identified regarding the cleanliness of the property were an isolated incident, we have already taken steps to reconfirm our expectations with our cleaning contractor as well as providing guidelines for them to meet during their cleaning process. Additionally, we have an agreement with our cleaning provider that if any guest finds anything unsatisfactory during their check-in or at any point during the week, guests should notify us directly, and we will have the cleaners come out immediately and address the situation until our guests are completely satisfied. We strive to provide the best guest experience, but recognize that we may sometimes fall short. To this end, we ask that our guests, during check-in procedures notify us immediately if there are issues. It is also our practice to check in with guest throughout the week to ensure that everything with the property is meeting their expectations. Notifying us of issues after you have checked out does not afford the opportunity to immediately resolve issues and prohibits us from helping to maximize the enjoyment of your stay. Regarding the washing machine; unfortunately, appliance do break but we did appreciate your understanding and allowing the service technician to attempt to address the issues during your stay. I personally met him at the property in an effort to minimize any disruption to your party. Although we were unable to get the washer working completely during your stay, we did offer to compensate you for any laundry services you may have needed. Additionally, I’m pleased to say that the washer is now working with no issues. Finally, we did appreciate you notifying us that the Wi-Fi was not working. Unfortunately it appeared that a guest had changed the network id and password on the modem. However, as noted by your comments above, 30 minutes after being notified we were able to get the network id and password reset and operating correctly. Again, we do appreciate the feedback and feel like the issues that you brought to our attention were isolated and have already been corrected. We look forward to the opportunity for you to stay with us again and are confident we will exceed your or any future guests’ expectations.
