Home Away From Home - Wheelchair Friendly/No Stairs - Kids & Pets Welcome -
About Mary Hoppe
This property was designed and built to become a retreat house. The Chattanooga area was and currently is lacking quality short term rental houses. We built this to fit our needs for visiting relatives and friends. We are offering vacant times on the calender to others.
Mary Hoppe purchased this House in 2009
Why Mary Hoppe chose Apison
This area is the fastest growing area of Tennessee. We are located in a remote area of the Chattanooga area. The town of Apison is a quiet and small farming community on the outskirts of the city. We are the alternative to the high prices, noise, and congestion found in the city.
What makes this House unique
Sit on the deck high above the tree tops or on the swing near the top of the hill and enjoy the views. Watch deer, fox, and other wildlife pass by throughout the day. Centrally located to all the Chattanooga attractions and Whitewater rafting/ tubing in the Ocoee area. Easily experience it all from one location.

Wedding weekend with family
Very nice place, comfortable and felt like home. Would definitely recommend
This was a spacious property for a family gathering. It served us well. It's unfortunate it wasn't later in the year so we could enjoy the fall foliage.
Thank you for great review. When the leaves change it’s absolutely beautiful. Spring is great too when everything is blooming.
This was a great place, great space, and great communication through owners! They were quick to respond for any questions prior to the stay and the place was just as the descriptions and pictures showed! We travel to Chattanooga every year and we will definitely stay again as long as it’s available!
Thank you for your wonderful review. We strive to meet all the needs of our guests and to give them what they see.
great family get together
Very nice property, perfect for family gathering, relaxing on the deck we saw deer , woodpecker, hummingbirds!
Would definitely recommend... be ready for the steep drive up :)
Thank you for your review. Yes the driveway a bit steep but that's what gives you those beautiful views.
Great home, immaculate. View from back deck is unmatched, you can see for miles above treetops! Grounds very pretty!
The beautiful view from the deck is definitely a favorite! Thank you for the wonderful review!
Choo choo house best ever
Nothing to not like about this home. Lots of privacy and beautiful blooming trees. Meeting room large and spacious. Good place for coolers and suit cases. Love the quilts on wall. Open kitchen and dining area perfect for visiting or just relaxing on cushy comfy furniture. Kitchen shiny clean and well equipped. Just wish there was a knife sharpener. Very modern with more than enough dishes and cooking utensils. Loved the coffee pot with carafe and kcup brewing. Deck was awesome. We couldnt fet up early enough for sunrise but still beautiful scenery. Slept in on comfortable beds with linen supplies. Bathrooms clean and plenty of hot water. Loved the rain shower. Enjoyed grilling but wished for a larger grill. Mary was quick to respond and booking was easy. Thank you for a very pleasant stay. We live close to railroad tracks and so didnt even notice trains
Thank you so much for such a wonderful review! We are happy to hear that you enjoyed staying at our retreat home!
