About Pam Kerckhoff

I am from Southern California. I have been living in Carlsbad for over 15 years and love it here!

Pam Kerckhoff purchased this condo in 2013

Why Pam Kerckhoff chose Carlsbad

I grew up being able to walk to the beach and to shopping. I loved it! I live in Carlsbad, but have to drive to the beach. So when an opportunity came up to buy a property that was very close to the beach and to the Village in Carlsbad I took it.

What makes this condo unique

Properties don't become available in this development very often. What I love about this unit is that it is on the ground floor, has two private enclosed patios, and is in a sunny and quiet location in the complex.

Just returned from our first visit to California from Southern Ontario, Canada. We stayed April 27- May 2.

Pam's Condo was small but everything that we required for a few nights in Carlsbad. It was extremely clean and had everything we required. The keyless entry is great, don't need to worry about carrying a key while travelling. No issues at all with anything in the condo. Close to the beach for walks. We dipped our toes in the water but too chilly for swimming. 2 minutes walk to restaurants and shops. Not many in the complex so it was quiet and no competition to use the bbq. So nice when travelling to have laundry facilities. We sat outside on the patio while waiting for our laundry.

Coaster train was wonderful to travel to San Diego. Nice stress free day sightseeing.

Took a drive to Anneheim to support our Canadian NHL team the Edmonton Oilers. We went early in the day to avoid heavy traffic and had a great time with what seemed like half of Edmonton Alberta.

Only downside for us and probably not for many other people and totally unrelated to the actual condo itself. We live in a reasonably small town of about 15,000 with no trains or close by airports so we did notice quite a bit of noise from the trains going through town. They seem to run late and start pretty early in the morning. However incredibly convenient to hop on one of those trains to get around so if we are ever in Carlsbad again we will bring some earplugs for sleeping.

Thanks Pam, if ever back in California we will get in touch.

We will be back

  • 5 of 5

Fantastic little condo, perfect walking location to everything in Carlsbad. Grateful for the parking and within a manageable distance to sites North and South. Usually we either go to San Diego or we go to the OC, this was so much better. Pam had everything you could need in her condo, we enjoyed meals in and meals out. We definitely plan on coming back.

Cute nice place

  • 3 of 5

Very nice cute house with beach nearby.

Reason for three stars is that I assumed all VRBO homes come with washer dryer and thats not true. This one has access to a laundry machine, but needs quarters, which we couldnt get. Would have been helpful if this was called out clearly.

Beautifully decorated, with some pieces not child friendly, but I just kept them in closet :)

Great location, great condo!!!

  • 5 of 5

My family spent 3 nights in this lovely condo. The kids slept in the living room and my husband and I had the back bedroom. The bed was very comfortable and I didn't hear any complaints from the kids about the fold out! The location couldn't be better. It's a very short walk to the beach (about a block and a half) and then only a few blocks to Pizza Port and the Village area. Seriously, you can't beat the location. The condo area has a nice grassy area outside and bbq's should you chose to use them. The patio is nice to sit outside and have a glass of wine at the end of the day. The condo itself is super clean. Thanks for a great stay!

Perfect stay!

  • 5 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed all 16 days here. From the easy beach walks to the delicious restaurants a few blocks away, to the excellant bike riding and then happy hour on the front patio, everything was perfect. Don't ever lose your cleaning crew! The place was impeccable. Loved the decorative touches everywhere and the comfy king sized bed. If you are a bicycle rider, the Sand Luis Rey River trail out of Oceanside is great. Even though this place is near everything, it is quiet and peaceful. We will be back!
